V6 Twin Turbo or V8?

Jeremy Clarkson can explain everything with so many examples that it is just brilliant. No one comes close to him being funny while giving a car review.

Just like the good old days, this was an exceptional review of an absolutely spellbinding car. It's amazing to think what a rather utilitarian company like Ford can pull off when they set their mind to it. I don't think there's one person on the planet that wouldn't say the top down view (looking at the roof etc...) is an absolute visual masterpiece. I don't think I've ever in my life seen a car that beautiful from that angle. Just. Perfect.

One thing I’ve noticed about Jeremy, no matter how much smack he may talk and jabs he me throw at a car, he still can’t hide his inner child smile. As soon as he opens the throttle, that smile comes out, even if it’s subtle. One thing I loved about Top Gear with Jeremy, Hammond, and James, was their friendship, the fun they had, and the genuine love for cars. That and Jeremy’s “Speed and POWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”😂😂😂

Anyone who used to watch top gear would know that Jeremy absolutely adores the GT40, he used to have one. He tries to give a fair assessment of a supercar.

This show and the 3 gentlemen will always be timeless, thank you for all the years of entertainment.

Perhaps the most beautiful car I've ever seen in person.

The 2017 Ford GT is one of the best looking cars from the 2010-2020 decade in my opinion. It's the perfect homage to the original GT with just the right amount of modernized design put into it. And you also have a really good amount of tech underneath. And I respect Ford's decision to make this a track-focused car. Ferrari and McLaren and Porsche are a little too fixated on making a sort of "Super GT" car (with a couple of exceptions). Not that this is a bad thing in itself, but I like the fact that the Ford GT models have always been for the tracks first and foremost. If I was a millionaire, it's buy this first. I don't think I'll become a millionaire and get super cars to stay pretty in my garage, I'll want to take them to the track and "appreciate" the car, not view it as an art piece. I'll get all the racing courses and qualifications I'll need and I'll be taking super cars to the tracks. I'll keep a Bugatti in the garage, because i don't want to die. Unless...

I love how the new one captures the spirit of the old one. Raw, untamed and every step into the pedals are like injecting gasoline to your vein. Truly beautiful car

That is definitely one of the best sounding V6 engines on the market, and you'll struggle to find one to buy even if you have the finances for it.

Funny how Clarkson has always made fun of America's "big, thumping V-8's", but when they use a turbo 6, he says they should have used a V-8. The man is never happy with American cars. Side note: That GT is one of the most visually stunning vehicles ever made.

This V6 sounds pretty good, IMO. Sounds a lot like the Porsches I hear at the track, except it doesn't rev as high as, say, a GT3.

my 1978 Ford, v6 was a smoking unbelievable trip. I can only imagine what a newer GT is like.

If the design of the exterior is what excites you about this car, then just know that would not be able to look like this with a V8. Won't fit and it's too heavy. I'll take "this" car, with the V6. Now, when the next version of the GT comes around, well that's a different story.

The car is not only a work of engineering art, its been built up to. With the GT40s in the 60s, then to the remake in 2005. The GT has a history that makes the car beautiful. It's built on years of knowledge and ideas. It's honestly one of the finest pieces of engineering in the world. There are certainly cars that are faster and better, no doubt, but the GT was meant to stand for the Ford name. And it does.

It still has the very prettiest overhead view of any car I know. Simply gorgeous. Agree with the V8 though, or even better NA V10...

While a V8 would add appeal, it wouldn't really make sense in terms of what the car was designed for. The V6 makes more than enough power. In fact the LeMans winning car had to have it's power output reduced by over 100 hp compared to the road car, to meet balance of performance.
