Xbox doesnt seem to have any marketing outside the USA. I welcome this news. Xbox marketing has been, lets say, absent. Sony has great marketing. One example is them sponsoring UEFA Champions League. For those in the USA, this is the most watched annual tournament in the world for football (soccer), aside from the World Cup. They have pitchside advertising and also videos which are just brand awareness videos. I only just posted about Xbox's marketing back in April and tagged Xbox in it and how bad it is. So I'm not surprised to see this now. Looking forward to the future 👍 Good work, Boom!👏

The uefa is corrupt as fuck and so are other sports clubs. Marketing costs hella money even tho Sony sells more consoles overall, it still doesn't translate into game sales.

@@Blackronin357 I have no idea what corruption in UEFA has to do with Sony making good choices about where to market and making market-specific choices .IE European market where PlayStation is super strong. And Xbox needs to sell more consoles, not games. The games aren't going to sell if there's no consoles. Xbox has the most studios. Some of the strongest IPs and has the best showcases but lags behind in consoles sales. It's almost unanimous among fans and media that Xbox's marketing is poor. Making video content to target European teens and men is done best by advertising at sports events, especially since it's football, a mostly male dominated viewer, plenty of father/son (chief income earner/chief player) at the games. Obviously marketing costs money. That's why you have specialist people targeting audiences. Marketing budget is translated to sales. It's not just blind marketing. These things are calculated. Source: I've work in the advertising industry. If one tenth of console users on any platform buy exclusives, the one tenth of the platform with larger sales will sell more games.. The more people with Xbox hardware, the more software Xbox can sell.

Last weekend I watched the 24 hours of LeMans. I saw a huge XBOX billboard placed at a corner of the track!!! Unbelievable!!! I was shocked. Xbox promotion in Europe!

A problem I had with Xbox is its marketing and the horrible campaing it had with Hellblade 2 and how it started just when the game launched, it could've get more players if they have done it right, glad that Xbox is changing the Marketing Department

Xbox marketing is really bad. When you walk into a store, you should see advertisements for gamepass with it saying "here are games you get with gamepass, heres what our competitors charge for each of these games" People still use cable to watch tv and i still see tons of commercials for Playstation and Nintendo, they also plaster their brands everywhere in gamestops, even using bill boards, buses and buildings. Microsoft absolutely sucks at Marketing Xbox and gamepass. A trillion dollar company doesn't know how to market their console.
