You know, this guy performed on stage almost every night of his life, maybe Garcia missed 2 shows, in almost 30 yrs? Despite what they did, there ain't nobody out there that can do what Garcia did. In remembrance for performing almost every day in his life, year in year out for almost 30 years, Garcia should be congratulated, patted on the back , for doing something so uniquely unusual in the world of Performing Arts ; dag! for determination, alone! ........

This is my background music today at the psych hospital while I do med pass. More therapeutic for the patients than 24 hour news , wouldn't you agree? :D

this is so sweet! Everyone talks about the amazing Dead shows in 1977 (and they were!), but JGB was just as good during this year.

That is a HOT rendition of Tangled Up In Blue. Jerry is firing on all cylinders and the band is pumping out the rhythm beautifully.

So much life in these four musicians -- so much communication and rapport -- and I keep thinking how sad it is that Jerry, John Kahn, and Keith Godchaux were all gone before the turn of the century; Ron Tutt is the only one still with us in 2021. I feel so blessed to have been able to see the Jerry Garcia Band (and that other band Jerry played with) in the Seventies.

john kahn is a monster !!!!! in a good sense of the word :) every guitarist should be so blessed to have a sidekick like john kahn...... bless his soul, died of a heart attack one year after jerry..... he actually resurected the jgb in 95 for at least one show at the Catalyst in santa cruz, ca..... he had found a young guit man from hawaii to fill in the jerry slot.... :)

70's Jerry is the BEST!!!! Hands down no question. He's having just as much fun as we did.

Being a 17 yr old North Jersey boy in 1977, how did I miss hitting this one in Asbury? Ughhhh… Must of been distracted by work and summer. Love seeing Jerry when he grooves and shuffles like he does on Harder. He looks happy, and makes me happy.

Outstanding show. Garcia is feeling it. His playing is terrific. The whole band. This is when he had Ron Tutt for a couple years. Just wanted to point out Midnight Moonlight, not the most complex but can be a little tricky on a few of the chord changes, and during Garcia's solo entire band is right there, never missing a change or a beat. Great band. Great songs, great playing. Have to give Keith his due as he's overlooked sometimes. And Kahn terrific too! I could go on and on!

Saw this show right after Pink Floyd at MSG July 4 and Zeppelin June 10. Psychedelic summer of 77.

I was fortunate to listen to the JGB at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach in 73 as a teenager in a bar and also Old and in the Way at UCSB isla Vista in Santa Barbara in 74 opening for the Dead festival seating everyone dancin and swriling in a colorful sea of joy❤

So killer i absolutely love the Russian lullaby especially at about 41:45 Jerry cracks a fabulous little smile that you can tell he's just feeling it and he's on one. Having a great night in intimate setting. Wish I was there but thanks to those who knew these shows would be of great importance for many a head to watch later on down the line!

Wow! My first Garcia Band show. Word was Keith and Donna had a rift and she left tour for a bit. Made for a unique show. I made a lousy mono audience tape and have been searching for a decent one for nearly 40 years, and now this! I don't recall multiple cameras at show but this is awesome.
