I got to see him do that bit live when he was touring with that act. It's my favorite too. Absolutely gut busting. The whole theater was just losing it. I damn near passed out because I couldn't breathe.
True to himself, he made the joke pure Seinfeld too: simplified, an efficiency of words, direct, to the point, with a catch-phrase at the end. Louis’ version has the emotion, the struggle, the bumbling of words, and the catharsis…. 2 different styles
@@raulreyes2384 here no, because he’s reciting someone else’s joke offhand and it’s not polished. But gives you an idea of how he would deliver it if he had it properly structured and ready to go. And you know there’d be an efficiency of words. Like all his jokes, just how he operates.
No joke I booked a 4 day stay at a hotel by the beach 2 years ago for me, my wife and 2 daughters and we had a bad fight the night prior to going so my wife kicked me outta the house and I ended up going alone to the place because the hotel could not do a refund. Hands down the best 4 days of my life! 🤣🤣 I'm divorced btw
He didn't steal it, Jerry deliberately performed the joke quick and to the point because it's Louis's. Louis and Jerry are friends and of course Louis does it better because it's his voice. Jerry was just telling his friend what his favorite joke of theirs was. People in this comment section are being overly protective of nothing.
They cut this scene short, unfortunately. Turns out they all knew the bit already. The whole (edited) meeting is available as ”talking funny”. Best standup sitdown on RU-vid.
The biggest joke is that Seinfeld is a Billionaire! That's REALLY funny! Tell us the part about not using your underwear and socks twice! And tell us the part about having a beamer in every city! I like those jokes the best! How do you decide on the colors? I'm really interested!
A vacation for a man is the few moments when we get to do nothing. Most wives don't understand and make it their life's mission to interrupt our nothing.
Seinfeld the show was funny but I literally never ever laugh at Seinfeld stand up or any jokes he does himself. Ever. I am convinced anybody who laughs at him are doing it because they feel like they have to.
To everyone ragging on Seinfeld...... he wrote the funniest show in the history of television, and it’s honestly not even close. Enjoy your jobs as taxi drivers and trashmen.
Well observed 😂 especially being a Louis C.K. fan. He really aspired to be a comedian such as George Carlin. Hence, he spoke at George Carlin's memorial stating it.
Seriously. When we go as a family on vacation l get up early and go for loooong walks of 2-3 hours while listening music. The rest of the family is starting breakfast when l come back and from there on its family time.
Seinfeld is the Dr. Seuss of standups. Louie is so much more skillful and masterful of the craft. He's just being nice because Seinfeld helped make standup comedy become a global thing. But everyone who understands the science of stand-up, knows Louie is the king
he loves jokes so much, the problem is, the TV show Seinfeld had no setup jokes like most sitcoms, there were no jokes in it it's just a bunch of people talking that what makes that shows special,
Three out of four were laughing hysterically just from Louis c.k. saying n*gger.....no punchline or set up. Just n*gger And you might think it was Chris Rock who was the Lone person who didn't laugh, you'd be wrong
Louis probably had a little too much influence on me during my formative years, cuz listening to him vent and complain about his wife and kids for the past 15 years has literally convinced me never to get married or have kids. 😅
Notice how most of the best comedians in the world, including the 3 here, people like Bill Burr, Eddie Murphy, Norm Macdonald, etc, all think Seinfeld is an extremely funny comedian. But somehow RU-vid commenters think they matter when the say he's not funny.
No they don't, they openly laugh at him and his ideas during a few parts of this show. They ask him why he doesn't come up with new stand up and how old the oldest joke in his act is and laugh at him when he says 10 years. They all know he's a shitty comedian that got lucky Larry David wrote a successful show for him
@@rickskellig4652 "They laugh at him and his ideas". Yes, because he's a comedian, people are supposed to laugh at him and his ideas. Now, if you're implying they were laughing AT him in a targeted "look at this moron" way, then you're going to have to give some reasoning. "They ask him why he doesn't come up with new material and how old the oldest joke in his act is and laugh when he says 10 years". So what? They ask him a question about why he doesn't get rid of his hour every year and replace it, and instead has an act that he slowly swaps out bits over time. Why is that less funny than doing a completely different hour? Then the "10 years" thing is funny to them, because that's not how they roll and they couldn't imagine doing it, but why does that mean they're criticizing him? You just have a feeling about Seinfeld that you pretend everyone else shares and it's horseshit. All the comedians on this panel, as well as the other greats I've mentioned in my first comment have consistently praised Seinfeld, and not in a general sense that you can say is "just to be in his good graces because he's powerful", they give him specific praise that's well-thought out. Stop projecting your feelings onto others, dumbass.
That’s why I HATE “Gas Station TV”. I am supposed to get 5 minutes of peace and quiet as I fill up, outside. With the stupid screaming ads there is no reprieve.
So I seen the extended clip into Seinfeld's, he goes on to explain to Louis and Ricky that he has NEVER actually seen Louis do the bit, he caught bits and pieces of it over the years but thought it was funny so that is why he butchered it to the extent that he did and also because... "Seinfeld"... Haha... I Love comedians, we think we're slick.
This only proves how lesser of a comedian Seinfeld is than the other three. Dude wouldn't even be sitting there with those three legends if it weren't for Larry David.
When you boil it down, Seinfeld is the weakest comedian in the group. All the others are laugh out loud funny, but JS just gets by on observations. Loved the show, but it was the supporting cast and character actors that made it funny.
