I will be praying for you sir... sending love and thoughts and blessings from America. Thank you for doing what no one should have to do. May God bless you.
I remember all them summers Playing 'til my fingers bled You'd sing the songs and I'd sing with you We'd get drunk and go to bed Looking back at all them memories Lord, I hate to sleep alone But if you ever get the notion That you need me, let me know 'Cause it's just two hours to get there, babe I can make it back about an hour or so Hold you close against my skin I need a little warmth on a night so cold Singing songs you used to sing The one about the lady in the long black veil Should have seen the warnings signs But Lord, I love to hear you wail High and lonesome, hard and strong Even if it was a little out of tune Hotter than socks on a jersey giant Lord, I thought you hung the moon I remember all them winters Drinking Woodford 'til we drowned We'd get wind about a party Bundle up and go to town Never worry 'bout the police Never worried much at all I miss those nights of reckless glory I'd come back if you'd just call 'Cause it's just two hours to get there, babe I can make it back about an hour or so Hold you close against my skin I need a little warmth on a night so cold Singing songs you used to sing The one about the lady in the long black veil Should have seen the warnings signs But Lord, I love to hear you wail High and lonesome, hard and strong Even if it was a little out of tune Hotter than socks on a jersey giant Lord, I thought you hung the moon I left town when we were over 'Cause it didn't feel the same Every backroad had a memory And every memory held your name 'Cause it's just two hours to get there, babe I can make it back about an hour or so Hold you close against my skin I need a little warmth on a night so cold Singing songs you used to sing The one about the lady in the long black veil Should have seen the warnings signs But Lord, I love to hear you wail High and lonesome, hard and strong Even if it was a little out of tune Hotter than socks on a jersey giant Lord, I thought you hung the moon
Hope she knows the gift he is… i echo an earlier post, theres no artist as good, so authentic… just dont change Tyler, stay true to your roots, eternal truths, theres nothing new under the sun except for the next song you’re gonna write…so dont let any fast talkin music producer align you with the dark side…. You’re too true for that! Your honey is beautiful and sounds good too!
There’s plenty of artists you would like, but you just haven’t found them yet, you should dig deep into music, personally one of my favorite artists is Jason isbell
I have heard he doesn’t sing this song out of respect for his wife because it was a past relationship. When I met my husband he was in sobriety and I have to say I am grateful for his past girlfriends because it made him the man he was when I met him and he has only grown into a better and better man. Incredible father to three baby girls and our only son. Married 27 years and what a life
I'd say he's as awesome as JC. She sings better than June, bless her heart. The four of them are among some of the absolute best humans I've ever encountered.
I mean i hate love songs ! And not a fan of country music so whybis it that im down this Tyler Childers rabbit hole really liking the material ooo well evolution I suppose
@@nrogers416I think they mean that the song is about the ex wife (released before he met senora maybe) so he doesn’t sing it anymore, but people think it’s about Señora
