Since when does a mother's alibi for her son hold any water?? "Derrick was at home, rubbing his mother's feet." That's laying it on pretty thick.
@nikkiemerson1145
@nikkiemerson1145 3 года назад
They actually pulled surveillance that showed he hadnt left his house it wasn't just because they believed he was rubbing moms feet which he just used as an example. They dont go into detail on how they were all eliminated as suspects that doesnt mean they just take someones word especially family. Which is exactly what Quentin tried to do with his friend and sister and it back fired and blew his own alibi. The defense also makes sure they were eliminated properly to help their clients case if possible.

True. Esau is having a difficult time accepting this. Look at all the hate-filled rhetoric being spewed after the mistrial was declared. I never see this energy from them when those wicked police officers kill a so-called black person and get acquitted. Where is the outrage then?

The defense let the prosecution hang themselves with all there so called friendly expert connections which allowed the defense to redirect and damage the case with their unprofessionalism. It seems that the Panola D.A. was so quick to get this case on the docket for ego instead of connection evidence so they could win justice for Jessica Chambers. The defendant has a cousin name Eric Hill in Louisiana and his sister has tattoo with "Eric" on get hand. Why didn't the investigation speak to the young man that they got his tag # who was on the scene walking around? They got Quentin Tellis on using a decreased lady's credit card, yet they couldn't connect him to get murder. I feel like he knows about both ladies death which is why there's no guilty conviction on either trial. Mississippi and Louisiana are able to prove that he killed them. Maybe, Mr. Tellis is covering up for the real killer. I hope they get justice for both of the young ladies. Does anyone know who call the 911 call in? The fact that he deleted contact information isn't unusual since they only knew each other for a short time and they were not family. I've done it myself. I'm sorry but this prosecution and investigation team was sloppy.

Keisha claims she was Jessica’s “best friend” but a best friend does not introduce hardened criminals with a loooong rap sheet to their “best friend” If she wad her friend, she would have told her to stay away from Tellis instead of introducing him to her. I would never introduce a career criminal to any of my friends, let alone a best friend. Why would anybody do that?

Tellis could sound a lot like “Eric” or “Derick” if her tongue was swollen. I’ve binged watched this case all day and couldn’t put my finger on the name part unless she thought someone else put a hit on her named “Derick”. Then I tried saying “Tellis” without moving my tongue. That’s the one thing that finally clicked with me and made me believe he’s very possibly guilty compared to the rest of the lackluster evidence! It would have been a GREAT theory/possible clue of potentially credible evidence compared to every thing else -__-. HOW did ALL of these people from SEVERAL different agencies miss the mark on this? They totally blew it not catching this yet stretching on tons of other “leads/evidence” especially since the name was basically the main focus of the entire case. WOW.

The atypical southern prosecutor has made the leap that it might have been Tellis. He mentions it in the series Unspeakable Crime: The Killing of Jessica Chambers. Problem is, she almost definitely could have made an S sound, so that theory goes out the window. And the way people with heavy southern accents say Eric or Derek don't really sound like Tellis.

The bucket is not evidence, it is a mechanism to transfer evidence. It is no more valuable than the envelope use to transport a bloody glove. Why are these lawyers not making that point?
@gailtrotman5256
@gailtrotman5256 2 года назад
Have you seen how competent lawyers and scientists treat envelopes containing evidence? They don't touch them without gloves and they're signed, stamped and double sealed and only the person giving testimony opens the envelope and handles what's inside.

It's amazing how much people talk without council. I will never understand that. You have absolutely nothing to gain but talking without a lawyers advice. It's so easy to get tangled up in your words when interrogated by two seasoned detectives. They do this for a living.

During the interrogation, Quinton keeps saying, “I don’t know...”, “I can’t remember...”, “...I WANT to say...”, etc. copTim&copScott constantly FEED Quinton THEIR words, THEIR thoughts, and THEIR ideas. THEY TELL Quinton HOW things went down. They constantly LEAD Quinton into repeating and/or agreeing with THEIR words, THEIR thoughts, and THEIR ideas. *CORUPT COPS?? or WHAT?!

No, if a friend of you’s gets murdered und you saw her that night up until 1 hour before, you WOULD remember where u were and what you did at that time. Quinton lied about many things, kept changing his story over and over. Why? If you are innocent, why lie? I think he had help murdering her. Who was in that SUV that stopped by the shed at night and went back to the murder scene? Maybe he didn’t do it personally but he was involved. Too many lies.

Maybe she went to her maker really believing Eric or Derek killed her? Maybe he tricked her. He told the police a Derek was stalking her so maybe he said he saw the guy or someone lurking got out of the car and snuck up on her when he lit the fire? I don't know just trying out different scenarios. Poor girl.

I’m hearing him confirm things the cops said about him before during trial - makes him sound credible!! I mean- I happen to know he’s now used some other dead girl’s atm card or something .. but I can’t understand why it’s so hard to give us some damn evidence if there is ANY evidence!! I just.. can someone help ?? I know it’s going to be a hung jury (sorry if I spoiled for anyone). Just makes your heart break for this poor girl who tried so hard to give name of her killer .. and died the worst way to die.. just horrific beyond.. anyway...

Lara Desautel this was my complete reason for indifference too. But then I realized “Tellis” could’ve very well sounded like “Eric” or “Derick” with her mouth wounds and a swollen tongue. Try saying it without use of your tongue and it actually turns into an extremely good theory or even possible evidence. After three years I don’t know how ALL of the people on this case, I mean multiple agencies missed this. Now I feel more strongly about his possible guilt compared to the complete lack of evidence they tried.

The whole Eric thing drove me crazy until I read your comment literally if try to say tellis without your tounge you are saying Eric. Honestly I don't think a beautiful girl/cheerleader would willing have sex with this man..I'm sure he was drooling over her and so she used him for money and things of that nature because she knew he wanted her in a sexual way and would probably give her anything just to sit next to her.

Because they have a Dr. with I don’t know how many degrees saying that she could of in no way even been able to say Eric. Sure she tried to maybe say something but it’s pretty much impossible with the shape she was in. The Dr. had been doing this for 40 years working with burn victims. The man knew what he was talking about, he is very intelligent. I don’t believe she even said Eric. He lied about several things and he had burns at the same time. That says it all

That interrogation was useless for anything. Everytime he wasn't sure of something, these third-rate detectives were telling him "there is no maybe and you don't know." This pressured him into providing an answer, any answer, even if he was really unsure. This leads to incorrect info being put into the interrogation. False info being introduced into the interrogation is great for these ignorant, poorly trained, backwoods hick cops, because they really don't care about the truth, and already have their minds made up --- and when cops, who think they're they're smartest people in the world, decide that their brilliant hunches are correct, they'll do anything and everything to make someone guilty, even if they're innocent --- but it certainly wasn't good when it came to prosecuting the case. It's not surprising they failed to get a conviction in two different trials. Almost everyone involved in investigating this case, from the very first night, were unqualified and incompetent. I don't know how the family continues to live in that place, knowing how badly the justice system at all levels failed Jessica, and failed them.
