The fact that she calls Josh an "old man" when he's only a little bit older then her own husband shows she still thinks she's a teenager.

I don't think this is talked about enough, but there's a HUGE difference between mom shaming and bring concerned over safety. Mom shaming is giving hate over insignificant decisions. Breast fed vs formula, tablet/screen use over regular toys, organic vs non organic. However, raising concern over things like safe sleep practices, car seat use, and other matters of safety ARE NOT MOM SHAMING! I would want people to tell me if I was doing something that was drastically increasing the chance of my child getting seriously hurt or killed.

How can Jess say how devastating it was to read bad things on the forums about her at age 19 and not realize that in a couple short years her children will read these forms about them! Does she not realize by continuing to exploit her children she puts them in the same position that she herself was in!? Yet it's a hundred times worse because these kids didn't have a choice in the matter of being filmed

I got pregnant at 16 myself. My now husband and I struggled for years and it was so hard. But I’m so glad of all we’ve overcome since then. We are married going on 8 years (together 11 years total), he went to school and is a full time truck driver, we bought our own home and car without any help and have 5 kids today (I got my tubes tied and we are so done lol). I’m happy for our journey because we truly grew up and became better people. However we keep our kids completely off the internet other than with family. I still pray my kids will make better choices for their futures by not being teen parents though because it was a damn struggle. Wish people wouldn’t glorify the teen parents who make it look “easy” or use their children for the public… appreciate your videos.

And the narcissists next door strike again… If they have so much disdain for unnecessary judgement on the internet, why do they put their children out there to potentially receive exactly that?! Where is the humility in this podcast? You’re so right Josh! I found out, on my 19th birthday, that I was pregnant with my oldest child. Luckily I was in a safe environment, and my dad told me that he'd stand behind me no matter my choice. To me, there was never any other option other than raising my child. It was my responsibility, and I was going to take on my responsibility. Anyway, the bio-dad wasn't in the picture, but that wasn't going to stop me. Now, he's 27, and has 2 siblings. I would not recommend being a teen parent, but I also loved "growing up" with my kids. Was it hard, yes, but I appreciate the people who helped us make it through.

Josh doesn’t like parents who exploit their children online for money. He doesn’t like that family vloggers turn their children into a revenue in exchange for their privacy and safety- all before their they of legal and psychological age of being able to have informed consent- understanding and being able to legally consent to the ramifications of that choice to have their whole life online. Josh is bringing attention to the dangerous effects of exploitation children online for money.

That’s great, I’m guessing a lot of Mom’s who watch mommy vlogs who have stumbled across Josh’s channel feel the same way, I just thank god this didn’t exist when I was a young Mom, I was already feeling inadequate and depressed because being a good Mom is hard, and you are second guessing yourself all the time. This woke generation is crazy. I turn 63 this year and I have watched this generation birth that is all about "my rights" while taking no personal "responsibility for one's actions. Very sad. The world needs Jesus. Not the one manufactured in religion, but the Jesus we find in the Word of GOD.

You should do the Moore the merrier vlogs. They did a video about their kids drinking a whole bottle of Tylenol and just filming everything. In an emergency I just don’t see how these parents first instinct is to film. They ended up being ok but still it was shocking.

Yes liver and kidney damage - all organs though, my friend actually killed herself with a packet of Panadol and a bottle of Coca-Cola - it sets in motion an irreversible progression to death so if their kids had had Coca-Cola things could have been utterly tragic.

it’s weird how they talk about how haters must had something happen to them to feel miserable (like she did with the woman in panda express) … she just doesn’t understand that people can have a different ,wrong in her opinion, opinion and can talk about it. jessica, if you put it online, people can use it however they want. it’s what tabloids are based on, news, media, everything. even if you’re not in the public eye it’s still online and can be used… if you don’t want people to talk about it and have an opinion, then don’t post it, deactivate or whatever. not everyone has the same opinion. you’re an adult. you should know this. and be able to have a conversation. and not see it as a personal attack.

Thanks Josh , I appreciate that. I didn’t get pregnant at 15/16 but I did get pregnant at 18 and had him at 19. I was so scared & I definitely don’t condone that, in fact I hope for anyone to have a good job and car , house and married bf kids. So I made a decision to put my kid first and made some mistakes but overall having him made me more mature and I did put him 1st along with all my kid’s. My husband knew I’d throw him out if he wasn’t good enough for my son and me. Thankfully he’s a good man and we had two together and treated all 3 of my kids the same. Well our daughter is a daddy’s girl but I get that.

I feel like people claim "mom-shaming" for everything. Mom-shaming to me is like..."how dare you bottle-feed!" Or giving side-eye for serving mac and cheese, or whatever. Not stuff that's actually dangerous or harmful. Being told your kid's carseat or sleep space is unsafe or you're exploiting your kids when it's true, that is not shaming. It's a heads-up.

It’s one thing to do anything in moderation and another to show it to the world. That’s where I hate it. Once it’s on the internet, it’s never going away. They need to remember one day their kids will watch/read about everything their parents have done. Even read the hate. I’m glad I have no desire to live that lifestyle or money hungry.

Everyone said I raised my sons good. I worked hard to raise them. My ex-husband was abused me. I left him when my sons were 6 and 4 years old. They are 28 and 26 years old. I really appreciate your commentary on how family channels are pretty exploitative. However, I think there’s a big difference between getting surgery on yourself (and Jess talked about how she had medical conditions she wanted to correct too) and society commenting on people’s bodies without their consent. If someone wants surgery then that’s on them, but I think that the podcast’s commentary on the problem with societal body standards is important.

Josh, I agree with you on the messages you are educating the public with, it's every adults responsibility to protect children . But I struggle with the "name calling" . I grew up in a family where words like "you're stupid" and dumb were but a few word used to hurt. I know sometimes its the only word that fully describes the situation, but I feel bad when I hear them. I will continue to support your vlog, just wanted to let you know that those simple words hit hard from my childhood and perhaps other people who were abused as children. Keep up the good work protecting children, they need a voice. Thanks.

Church kids - when the preacher was saying something and it made you feel convicted and uncomfortable, even if you didn’t feel like whatever that thing was necessarily was wrong, you were seeing something in yourself that made you defensive. That’s what’s happening here. They are defensive, because what Josh is saying in this videos is hitting a nerve in them. And mostly they know what they’re doing isn’t right, but they don’t want to admit it because it’s making them money. And it’s hard to walk away, so it’s easier to deflect and blame someone else

Josh my dad is an alcoholic my husbands dad is an alcoholic. My husband is following in his fathers foot steps and probably a functioning binge drinking alcoholic also a Narc. Can’t be around people who drink to much. Once in a while to get buzzed is fine. Getting drunk I am repulsed by it. Cause my childhood and my family have been devastated by it. It is a bad example to your kids and they will drink cause they watched you drink all the time.
