I loved my Jetboil Sol; I even bought the Jetboil frying pan to try out. Ultimately the frying pan was useless, it gave you one hot spot in the center of the pan and burnt absolutely everything. The Jetboil also burned anything other than water that I tried to heat up (milk). The Sol also had a plastic shroud around the body, which promptly melted. I’ve since switched to the MSR Windburner (same concept) and have been very happy. If you only want to use them to boil water, these types of stoves are great self-contained units. Thanks for all the work you put into your channel.
Very useful info! I'll make sure to stay away from the pan. Glad to hear you found something that works well for you. I honestly have not even heard of the MSR Windburner until now. Thanks!
