Jim Cornette on His Speech at the WWE Hall Of Fame 

that's what the full time roster needs for their promos, bullet points on what to say rather than scripted promos which are complete garbage

All due respect to everyone who spoke that night, I tuned in just to watch Jim Cornette. Unparalleled drawing power 🙂 And what a speech it was. So professional, yet so imaginative

loved the speech! I had the pleasure of Mid South being my home territory, so the Rock & Roll Express vs the Midnight Express was practically a family feud. Glad to see them get the recognition they deserve and hopefully the Midnight will be there next year.

Wouldn't have made sense for anyone other than Cornette to have inducted the R&R's.

Looking back 4 years later at the resurgence the Rock & Roll Express have had since this induction; Jim really put them over great.

I just hope the WWE eventually decide to induct the Midnight Express into the Hall of Fame, at some point soon. You can’t have the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express in the Hall of Fame, without their bitterest rivals in there too. As for who could/should induct them, I think it ought to be the man that had the vision to put them together: “Cowboy” Bill Watts. Obviously, their are many other people who could induct the Midnight Express: Jim Ross, Jerry Jarrett, Bill Dundee, Jerry Lawler, etc, but I just think Watts would be ideal, since he is responsible for their coming together to form one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Unless Jim Herd is still alive, then it would be a good rib on Corny to have him induct the Midnight haha. Or maybe the Bucky Beaver motherfucker Kevin Dunn...though Jim would probably end up in jail haha. Jokes aside, I hope the WWE finally put the Midnight Express in the Hall of Fame. Not because it means anything: they just deserve the recognition, for being one of the greatest tag teams of any generation. But maybe we’ll have to wait for Kevin Dunn to leave the WWE for it to happen, as I imagine he’s heard a lot of what Jim has had to say about him- including his famous impression. I can’t imagine Dunn would want to produce a show, which in any way, honoured Jim Cornette and his “Southern rasslin’” haha. It would be great if the Midnight were inducted into the Hall of Fame. And, as the HOF is on Mania weekend, if I were Vince, what I’d do is have Jim turn up at WrestleMania, as the Revival’s special guest manager for the night, and have him interfere to help them win the Tag Team Championships, in a proper old school blood and guts match. It would be incredible...but maybe I’m just dreaming, as it’s hard to see the WWE going for anything that amazing haha. Hopefully they’ll at least induct the Midnight Express in the next couple of years: Bobby, Dennis, Stan and Jim deserve it, for all they accomplished over the years: how innovative they were, both in the ring (Bobby) and on the mic (Corny), for the heat they generated, the money they mad, not to mention how much of an influence they were on the wrestlers that came after them. But that’s enough of me blowing the Midnight Express haha.

Tony Schiavone should be the one and the only one to induct (if they ever get in)Jim Cornette and The Mid Night Express into the WWE HOF...All one needs to do is go and watch promo's and matches on the 6:05 wrestling show and watch the two go back and forth with each other because it is pure gold...Thanks ...GOD BLESS !!!

I went and booted up the 2017 hall of fame on peacock, fast-forwarded to Corny’s speech, listened to it in full, then turned it OFF so I could put this video ON. God I wish Triple H or Paul Heyman or SOMEONE would give Cornette a live mic for a few minutes every Monday Night. Dude could get a 400 pound quadriplegic over.

It's absolute bullshit that Cornette and the Midnight Express aren't in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Wow you mean not every word was scripted verbatim and it didn’t fall apart and sound contrived? Unbelievable! I find a hard time believing that people at WWE don’t see how badly scripted promos are hurting their business. It feels so forced. Even when the legends come back and have to say a scripted promo you can feel it. It pisses me off because it’s such an easy fix.
