The fact that Will Oespray was able to have a serious wrestling match for 25 minutes with Josh Alexander that involved him not doing his usual stupid sh*t is enough for me to say he’s wrestler of the year

How the Hell is Dominic Mysterio *not* nominated for, if not the painfully-obvious winner, of Most Hated Wrestler!? The kid gets booed out of the building just for existing!

IMO Dom Mysterio should be the one to get Most Improved. Year to Year nobody has had a bigger glow up in terms of character, presentation, and meaning to the show they are on is Dom.

I agree with Brian on Lio Rush , the guy is good in the ring and on the mic but he doesn’t last long because he’ll say something controversial and get fired.

The dude reminds me of the guys I watched when I was a kid - LA was a kid then, i'm six years older than him! He's one of the last of our sort of generation to be this new, and popular. These awards and nominations are a joke but for people who have never seen them, Josh Alexander and Mike Bailey are actually pretty good.

Dominic Mysterio should be most improved. Nobody saw that one coming. He went from being another Eric Watts or David Flair to being one of the hottest heels in wrestling. As great as Rhea is, Dom was the missing piece of Judgement Day that made it all click after losing Edge. Dom kept the heat for Judgement Day long enough for them to click under Vince’s meddling. He revitalized his legendary father’s career. Rey was getting cheered way harder after Dom turned on him. LA Knight already had a ton of potential and everyone saw it. Everyone thought Dom was a dud and now he looks like a future star for the next 10 years.

Quite frankly I'm amazed PWI is still in publication much less something you can still find in grocery stores.

I must totally disagree with Cornette on choosing Roman as wrestler of the year... ROMAN IS NEVER AROUND!

Lio Rush has been alright in NJPW. He did some tag team stuff with Chaos and had a good run in the BOSJ, but he got fucked over by illness. Japan has actually been good to him and kept his attitude in check.

Bishamon is a tag team in NJPW. Consists of Yoshi-Hashi and Hirooki Goto. They have been tag champs pretty much all year. They are solid and should be on the list for best tag team, but the winners should be FTR.

He's a contender for most popular babyface from the biggest promotion, but he's not a "WoRkrAtE" guy so they don't like him for getting over by having a personality and being confident. If those guys were in charge of the magazine in the 90's they would have snubbed Austin. It's a shame what they did to Bill Apter's magazine. It used to be good.

LA Knight deserves an award for getting people watching again that haven’t watched in almost 2 decades. I speak for myself and many others. Haven’t watched wrestling at all since Eddie died in 2005 and the Benoit incident in 07. Saw a few promos online of his for some reason and it brought me right back to the days of amazing promos and talkers. And ever since I’ve been a huge fan of his in ring work (although I think Cody might be better in ring) I hope they push him to the moon
