Yes, he did. There was one particular performance of his that I class as pretty much perfect. Possibly my favourite stand-up performance ever. He starts with the eyebrow stuff, does his 'favourite part of the stage' bit, jokes about the scariest bungee jump and talks about buying too many mushrooms. I can't find it anywhere.
That's brilliant .... doing a 8 minute piece and having an encore in it. Talking about encores: I remember John Denver told this story that when he leaves the stage he walks towards the back wall of the arena, touches it, walks back to the stage and hopes the audience is still clapping when he reaches it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose. One my favourite artists I still miss long after his untimely death. Along with Prince and Frank Zappa.
Still funny after all these years. Have listened to Jimeoin's albums Goin' Off and Forklift Truck hundreds of times and never get sick of him. Some favourites of mine are:"Hello, I've come about my coathangers." "What's wrong with this tin opener?", "We're late, we're always late, why are we always late?".., that said, both albums are hilarious from start to finish.. Oh, and then there was Jimeoin's Cooking Show with Bob Franklin..i get tears just thinking of them dressing up a potato as Yassar Arafat "We bought you at a church fete!" lmao :D
Where was the "surprised eyebrows" joke? Where he says something about how someone says something surprising, and your eyebrows go up, then they say something more surprising, and there's nowhere to go.. Anyone know what I'm talking about? lol
@@leavingitblank9363 You’re missing my point. He is a very good comedian but dont think he gets enough credit or screen time that he deserves compared to alot of comedians out there.
Jimeoin is hilarious, but can we also take a moment to acknowledge how gorgeous Jon Stewart used to be? Jesus Mary and Joseph! (And a damn fine comic.)
Did he get the yawn skit from Carl Barron or did Carl Barron get it from him?. Either way, the last few months i have fucking fallen in love with Jimeoin and his comedy. I used to think he would only be funny due to his accent, but he is so much more than that. He has some of the best observational humour of all time.
A bit late to answer but Jimeoin started his career in 1990 and CB in 1993 so very possible one "borrowed" it from the other or they simply shared the same joke at different times.
@sam8110 It still isn't cool to copy other comedians. Yes, loads of comedians talk about wives and kids but they all try to come with their original ideas for it!!!
Just been watching ALL the snippets of video for Jimeoin, and he's been doing the 'Eyebrow' joke for nearly 13 years! I do like the guy, but the gags are all the same, he's almost getting the reputation of being a bit like Jim Davidson. Time for new material Jimeoin.
