This was the the last song that my dad ever sent me before passing away. Everytime i listen to it i always think about him. What a beautiful and soulfull song. Glad he could enjoy such a masterpiece bevor going into paradise.🕊️🙏🏻
Wow! That was absolutely fantastic. Every musician on this recording is amazing. Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa just blew this one out of the water. I really like this song and the way it was arranged. Well done by all.👍👍🇨🇦
You're right Rick about the all round contribution, of course Joe is immense but his band is insanely good and Jimmy's vocals are perfect. Heartbreaking words by Don of course too
What I love about Jimmy Barnes is that he doesn’t try to sound smooth and restrained but screams some words out for emphasis and the entire performance is amazing and like no other. And Joe Bonamassa is in a class of his own.
🇬🇧 This has to be one of THE finest things ive ever heard! Also, im gutted to admit that im 60 in just over a weeks time, and until a few weeks ago, i had never even heard of Jimmy Barnes. Its only 6/7 months ago that i heard of Joe Bonamassa!? I mean, i love music, especially music from yesteryear, ie: 60s through 80s (& maybe SOME 90s). I always thought i was quite knowledgeable about singer/song, but nah, i know nothing. I cannot get enough of Mr Barnes's voice. Or Joe's guitar skills, i hear he can sing the blues too! Im off to find me some of that. 🎼🎸🎙️🎶❤
Thank the Good lord for You tube. I grew up listening to Joe bonamassa as we were both from upstate NY. I never knew Jimmy barnes until a few years ago. Come to find out he has been rocking Australia for decades. Now, Im in north west Georgia, USA, talking to you about this beautiful piece....
same music Is my life thought I'd heard all the best and the rest Mr Barnes only got as big as he wanted to ! Truly into it and not for the money ..no sell out here
In 2007 I was working in Australia...walked into a small record shop in Dalby or Toowoomba, Australia I don't recall. Picked up a DVD called Cold Chisel Live at Ringside and was turned on to some kick ass Aussie rock that I couldn't quit listening to. The heart and passion of the music that Jimmie Barnes, Ian Moss, Don Walker, Steve Prestwich, Phil Small put together was so passionate and well written (and performed) that I couldn't stop listening. Four Walls, Plaza Hotel, When the War is Over, Bow River, Breakfast at Sweethearts, Khe Sanh, and on and on gave me hours and hours of enjoyment. Throw a little American Joe Bonamassa in there with Jimmy Barnes and what do you get? Well just turn it up and listen. If you don't like it, you are probably not very talented, not very smart and definitely don't understand passion. Turn it up and enjoy life!
In complete agreement about Jimmy Barnes! Great Singer! There’s ALOT of Blues Guitar players out there who could solo in that time signature as well as Bonamassa though!
My girls ..12 and 14 ....definitely know and love Joe...they got their top 40 and kpop....but they KNOW! This is a great pair of guys here...perfect vocals and Joes guitar!

You got that right my friend. Dang it that's good. Jimmy can sing his ass off. Joe's guitar work fits like a glove for that song, Jimmy knew who who wanted on that song. You chose wisely Jimmy! You guys kick ass on that song .
I am not Australian so I heard Jimmy Barnes now a first time.as I do love Joe Bonamasa as Riding with the Kings.Mahalia Barnes voice an amazing powerhouse so I got well into Joe,+Jimmy Barnes.Mahalia's dad.wow I am truly smashed.what a voice(s) man guitar all that smoothness.like a well smoky whisky. Go on more.Love Karin
@@karinstorer4384 and the rest of his family sing as well and now his grandchildren and his son plays drums. They are like the modern day Von Trapping family sings, but louder and with soul lol
This is the same Jimmy Barnes from Cold Chisel right? Just discovered them today and if this all loops back to the AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH then im gonna AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHH
Joe is the GOAT! The way he makes the guitar sing is incredible! Barnesy is also a unique talent. It’s also awesome to see Jimmy’s son, Jackie, on the drums!
Oh my Goodness, this is sick. Man I am so thrilled I accidentally came across this. It’s now in my top 5 all time favs. I love everything about it. ❤️🤍💙
Get down that Jimmy Barnes rabbit hole, working class man, I'd die to be with you tonight and khe sanh are just 3 more classics. That goes to the rest of you who've accidentally got here
I wonder just how many American's are saying,,"How come i've never heard of Jimmy Barnes before now" Hahahaha Aussie Icon Jimmy Barnes You f*%ken Legend.
I’m American, and have loved Barnsey since the early 80’s when I stumbled across a copy of Cold Chisel’s East at a used record store. He gets no notice here, which is just tragic.
Amen !!!! Amen!!! Amen!!! Voice and guitar fits together. This is a real music... thank you and God Bless for sharing your talent... I feel my heat and soul dancing 💃🏻... love lots from Philippines 🇵🇭..
I know you must be so amazed and shocked to get a text from me, trust me it's from me for I'm so down to earth and I believe you know so well. Seeing your profile, you remind me of an old friend one I truly care for. How're you?
I love Brian and think he's great but Jimmy should have been asked immediately after Bon died to join but apparently he wasnt according to Jimmy. I think he'd have been interested as well.
@@danielmiller469 if you are blessed I don't know what I am. Because I heard this at my 15 years old. And I gotta tell, I searched for it. I were trying to find something that have joe and jimmy at the same video.
I’ve watched this a number of times (about 10 but who’s counting!) Each time I appreciate more how amazing artists can collaborate and produce a masterpiece like this; This was an incredible experience to listen to and I’m not even a big blues fan. BUT NOW I AM 😀

Ha that's how we all think about you. Growing up with you and all. I still remember your concert in the Christchurch town hall with cold chisel I was only 17 it was my first concert, what an introduction that was to rock
one of the greatest singers, with the twinge of Otis Redding delivery ever with the best guitar player of all time ever, with some of the best backup players ever heard, lay back and turn it up is all I can perscribe. Dr B.
"... the best guitar player of all time ever, ..." Oh, for fuck's sake. I'm freely willing to admit that my not liking Joe B is as much of an opinion as anything else, but ... seriously? the fanboy stuff with the people that do like him is really over the top.
When I get home, I found you sleeping I said the words you know are true And I'm stone Stone cold in love with you You don't have to turn the light on I ain't had more than just a few And I'm stone Stone cold in love with you You don't have to wonder why now Look at all the things you've been to me Built my whole life on the sweet foundation you've given Baby, you know what I mean I left my friends back in the poolroom They'll still be drowning out the blues I'm stone Stone cold in love with you You don't have to wonder why Look at all the things you've been My whole life on the sweet foundation, you've given Baby, you know what I mean I see your face below the window I see the moonlight coming through And I'm stone I'm stone cold in love with you Yes, I'm stone I'm stone cold in love with you
It was the same to me a few years ago, and it's funny to think that he collaborated in that song just to make a meme, he is a really talented powerhouse.
I started my adventure with music from listening to deathcore, then to post-hardcore, then the whole metal trend and I ended up here. I think this is the most beautiful clean vocal I have ever heard. I think Mr. Jimmy Barnes is the best artist I know.
When I get home I found you sleeping I said the words you know are true And I'm stoned, stone cold in love with you You don't have to turn the light on Ain't had more than just a few And I'm stoned, I'm stone cold in love with you You don't have to wonder why now Look at all the things you've been to me I'll build my whole life on the sweet foundation You've given, baby you know what I mean I left my friends back in the poolroom They'll still be drowning out the blues I'm stoned, I'm stone cold in love with you You don't have to wonder why Look at all the things you've been My heart lies on the sweet foundation You've given, baby you know what I mean I see your face below the window I see the moonlight coming through And I'm stoned, I'm stone cold in love with you Yes I'm stoned, I'm stone cold in love with yo

Hello Claudia, how're you doing? Your comments caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you! It's nice meeting you here.
Six months ago I had despite a lifelong love of the Blues never heard of Jimmy Barnes. Really nothing to say at 5 am starting my day listening to perhaps the greatest rendition of a blues classic ever recorded but from the bottom of my heart thank you Jimmy and Joe. I never expect perfection but this is as close as it gets.
If only ones in a lifetime the thought comes to ask yourself, why life is worth living, you will find the answer in this song, in the music that has to stay alive, the music is called blues ☝🏽🎸🎧🌻
Hello Jim, how're you doing? Your comments caught my attention and that is why I am reaching out to you. Your fan love for me warms my heart, Thank you! It's nice meeting you here.

@@Officialjimmybarnes1 Jimmy, you're an absolute GOAT. Thanks for sharing your talent with the rest of us. This was easily the best version of this song I've ever heard. You're a hell of a singer, man.
Oh hell yeah... !! I've seen Joe B. in concert 4 times......his guitar playing is incredible.....Jimmy Barnes voice is amazing....a great combination......
This one is one I would always return to....it is a masterpiece....knew the song for years and always loved it, but this version is killing it....thank you guys, you move me.
@@officialjimmybarnes9540 I first saw you in (I guess) 1994 supporting Bryan Adams in Salzburg (Austria) open air and you and your band nailed it at daylight, for me you were the best rock´n´roll band musically I had ever seen play live up to then, ´cause it was so pure and honest - all what I believed a live band should transport....I guess you were in Austria 2-3 years before (Graz) and my buddies urged me to see JB.....yes, they knew why. Since those days I´ve been admiring your vocals and after having started out as guitarist I then switched to singing......thanks kindly for the reply! Cheers, Gernot
My heart is filled with joy knowing that I am blessed with the best fans your support is what keeps me going.... thanks for commenting, I appreciate the feedback! where are you from??
We are doing well thank you, hoping you are aswell? Spending time trying to learn Mr Bonamassa's solo, so I can play along. Are you in the UK anytime moving forwards, we would love to see you live?
Wow! Singer, musicians, lyrics, composition, harmonics between hammond, brass, bas and guitar and singer is making even those in Heaven cry tears of joy on this one. Thank you ever so much, this piece of art I will hear often till I die and even beyond. 80’s DJ🇩🇰 Signing off 🙏🏻👍🏻🏆🎖❤️ Peace and Love
Just an observation but Joe does NOT just play guitar, he is it, or at least some part of it. The man can play and then some. Joe and Barnsey. Beth & Joe. How about Joe Beth & Barnsey??

That brilliant guitarist is American Joe Bonamassa. I’m Aussie and discovered Joe only via Jimmy . Found another Joe and Jimmy - WOW ✔️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IJXpjLnGRTA.html
Awesome blues song from banomassa and Barnes what a great duet best I've ever heard, great tone rythme and incredible guitar solo makes this song one one my favorites of all time and I'm 57 TRULY GREAT THANKS FOR CREATING SUCH A KILLER BLUES SONG FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY BLUES HEART !!!!!!
I grew up with Jimmy and his many bands and friends gracing the Aussie airwaves and in local pubs. An astonishing talent. And Joe .... what can you say about this enormous talent. I love joe's passion for collaboration with other amazing artists. Supporting these guys is a Aaron on keyboards, the guys on horns, drums etc. .... the gift of these guys is unbounded. More collaborations with Jimmy and Beth Hart and Joe's band. Never forget Tommy Emmanuel, Diesel, Cold Chisel and other truly amazing greats that are truly the best in the world.
And can we have some love for the absolutely INSANELY good lyrics from Don Walker ? Who even after 30 years, pulls out another stone cold CLASSIC of a song. Is there a getter Australian songwriter ? Quantity. Quality. Longevity. Don is like a non singing Bruce Springsteen
Jimmy's voice outstanding song I always remember this song my son would always fall asleep to this beautiful song whilst driving around beautiful Australia pure poetry stone cold what memories
