i mean giannis didnt play 3 games or this series would have looked a lot different, but now i kinda hope they win it all with miss herro and being the 8th seed would be crazy!
Butler is a rare breed. He is not just talking smack to anyone, he is demoralizing the best defender in the league and backing it up in the brightest of stages. LEGEND.
"That's the sign of a good man, if he can talk trash with an even score, or talk shit when you behind. When you are ahead it's easy to talk" - Michael Jordan
Not just down 4, but down 4 in the 4th quarter to a desperate ONE SEED former championship squad on the brink of elimination in the first round with the world's best overall player on it in Giannis, AND a guy in Holiday (the focus of his ire) who is considered the best perimeter defender in the league...
"That's the sign of a good man, if he can talk trash with an even score, or talk shit when you behind. When you are ahead it's easy to talk" - Michael Jordan
Just wow. Butler came up huge in this series, have to admit that I don't see anyone else doing what he did in these last 2 games, nobody in the league can match up to that. Saying that to Jrue and then backing it up, man that's legendary.
It gets no better than this!!! Ok, I'm consistently watching this stuff (NBA playoffs) since the early 80s... While down 4-6 points in the 4th-- I've never seen such loud shit-talking of this magnitude directed at the top players with the stakes this high (a one seed with the best overall record and best overall player-- being closed out in the first round IN THEIR BUILDING!!!... It is as legendary a performance with the stakes this high as it gets, or, as it's ever gotten, take it from an OG...
@@jessicagonzales2130 All true points, not gonna lie-- Jrue IS a champion. Which, translated, means-- Jrue is fortunate to be on a better team, with better individual players (which includes the best player in the world, actually, in Giannis) WHO COLLECTIVELY STAYED HEALTHY and who enjoyed a more advantageous route (by way of team matchups) to the finals. And yes, Jrue played a big part. Whoop-de-doo for Jrue... BUT (there is always a "but")---- the way Jimmy thinks, that championship Jrue owns didn't come directly against Jimmy-- or, at Jimmy's expense against Jimmy's Miami Heat team... SO... in the big scheme of things, with the stage set and the ENTIRE BASKETBALL WORLD WATCHING, mano y mano, and the stakes at their highest-- in the "championship directly between them," Jimmy separated himself as the one true champ. (And let me just add, Jrue is no slouch. The NBA players voted this guy the best perimeter defender in the league a couple yrs ago-- so make no mistake, it's why Jimmy targeted him.) Jimmy literally owned Jrue, a point Jimmy constantly reminded Jrue of over and over and over, time and time again-- first in game 4 when Jimmy scored, as an underdog, a monstrous 56 and again, in the all-important close-out game 5, in MILWAUKEE no less, when Jimmy dropped another spine-tingling 42, that included a game-tying buzzer-beating alley-oop to force overtime... After which, Jimmy yelled "on your head" at Jrue. In fact, Jimmy screamed at Jrue after every made shot-- "on your head!!!" even when Miami was down in the score during the game, which is gangsta... Listen, It was as magnificent a one-man performance as I have ever witnessed in an entire playoff series from an "underdog" vs. a still prime team that possessed the world's best player and championship DNA ('22), with the stakes this high... (honorable mention goes to LeBron's legendary one-game performance vs. Detroit in '07) But, that was only one game against an older fading championship ('04) team-- and Lebron wasn't talking smack...
Chris I agree with almost everything you said, but Giannis Antekopoopoo is not the best basketball player in the world. That’s disrespectful to America 🇺🇸 He’s just an uppity African who’s wants to be a Frenchy fancy pants foreigner, making sexually explicit lover boy videos on tic toc with his girlfriend. He’s just a 7 foot tall Pepe LePew, with a very ugly jumpshot. You can’t be the best player with such a horrendous looking jumpshot, I mean like, come on.
Pretty sure the first play he said "ON YOU" as in Jrue's fault for the points and Brook Lopez getting the foul, you can see Jrue say "That's okay" then he repeats to say "ON YOUR HEAD" as Strus comes up behind him then "ON HIS HEAD" as he walks away ... then the other play he points at the scoreboard and tells Jrue basically all those points "On your head" "On your head" ... Jimmy a savage!!! 🤣
@Melo I did. Most of the other Heat fans I talked to did also. We're much better than our record indicates, and we've played Giannis really tough for years. We owned him in the regular season in 2019, and then owned him again in the bubble 4-1. Spoelstra coaches circles around Bud.
@@AlexG-tp2ik anyone circles around Bud, bud. This is coming from a bucks fan, I knew something was fishy bout our team knowing which coach was at the helms.
jimmy is a real baller man.. he took over this series. damn, you gotta have some confidence to be down late on the fourth and back up that talk. he rly took over from then too. Unlike these other stars that talk only when they’re up, or those that pass up shots at clutch moments, or talk the talk but cant walk the walk, jimmy is different. Sheesh
I just started watching basketball consistently beginning of this season, and man Butler has immediately become one of my favorite players. I’ve heard about his playoff heroics before, but being able to watch it firsthand in this series is insane. He’s just too good.
He's really a fun player to watch. I've been watching basketball for 20 years and he's spectacular. Plays with so much confidence and is the ultimate teammate. Join us hooligans in Miami! We're a great franchise to root for
Love this. Let these grown men talk some shit during the playoffs. It’s in their nature to be competitive like this and talk some smack. I’m all for it
@@davidgivins4203 There's no such thing as a 3rd team all-defense, "Mr. defense". There's only first and second, and Jrue has made 1st team twice, and 2nd team twice.
Like how Bam said in the PGI you see sparks of this Jimmy in the regular season. But this is the version of Himmy we love. Talking while down he knew we had this game in the bag 🔥
You could argue that. heat beat us in the bubble, but I think a lot of teams were completely thrown off from the pandemic and were over it. Then we beat the heat AND we won the championship, but the heat beat us this year and then going to finals is yet to be determined. So while he has his number game wise, we beat them when it counted, and as of now, Butler hasn’t.
@@AsifKhan-hf9zy They scouted out why he has locker room issues with other teams, got Wade into the table talking with Butler and decided to trade for him after realizing he is just a competitive guy looking for wins more than anything. Bummed that Bucks are out but you really can't hate or deny Jimmy's playoff intensity.
Man it’s starting to be clear that Jimmy really wanted the Bucks and Jrue in round 1. I bet he secretly told his guys to throw the Hawks game in the play in tourney so they could whip the Bulls for the 8th seed. It all makes sense now why they were so dead at home versus a team they crushed in the regular season in the Hawks.
Nah Jimmy can't beat Jrue one on one. If you know about basketball and you watched the whole game, Jimmy got a lot of screen(off ball) to get away from Jrue.
He was in Jrues head all series, had he had bad games all we wouldve heard is "Jrue Holiday is the greatest defender" and he deadass is, Jimmy was just Himmy when it counted the most
Many nba players including durant consider jrue to be the best defender in the league too. And jimmy made an example out of him. This man may very well go to his 2nd finals. This man is simply too great.
playin champions 2023 finals rematch, we have the 7th seeded los angeles lakers against the 8th seeded miami heat in the east, our host for the playin championship 2023 nba finals is patrick beverley, also known as the back to back playin champion before getting eliminated by the miami heat in the playin first round.
Jimmy Butler is the closest player we have to Jordan. Primarily a mid-range shooter but can shoot the 3 when needed, high intensity, talks trash to other players, a great defender, and can take over a game single-handedly. Can't dunk like Jordan but he can definitely get up there. Most importantly, they are both Mr Clutch when it comes to the playoffs
The Heat is starting to have the bucks number. Beat them twice in game 5. Crazy to think if the Bucks faced anyone else but the Heat they are more than likely to win it all. Lol
@Anthony Mercado You can be physical all you want to prevent a clean on balance look...but when it comes to them pulling up, you have no hope of contesting their jump shot. Holiday after fighting around screens was already a step behind. By then there's literally nothing he can do against a guy who is 6'8
Jrue has a ring. Butler is going to run into taller players in Denver. We will see how that turn around jumper, works against Porter Jr. Post game moves are going to be limited.
I love it. Fuck that friendly shit. Take it back to the old days. At the end of the day as long as it’s mutual respect and ain’t personal keep talkin shit and backing it up!!
