This song is like an anthem for ARMY especially back in 2018 when the song was released. I remember just crying my eyes out because it literally made me realize how much I didn't take care of myself or love who I was at the time. I'm still working on it as it's a neverending process but this song was just that push I needed to change. Seokjin also released an English version in the Proof album and it sounded so different from the official release but just as good!

This is a healing song. I cried my eyes out the first time I listened to it. And probably the 10 times after that. I use it every time I need empowerment.

The first time I listen to this song I cried because it made me realize I don't love myself. It's easy to say to love yourself but it's so hard to look into yourself, and love and accept yourself with all of your imperfections. I still haven't been able to do it. I still get emotional when I listen to the song. Will I ever have the courage to look at myself and accept myself wirh all my flaws in order to love myself? Only time will tell...

I started learning Korean and that's how I found out about BTS years ago. Epiphany was actually the first Korean song I translated the lyrics to, to help me study. It's amazing just how beautiful the lyrics are in Korean, and it doesn't lose its magic even when you translate it to English. There's something so healing about the way Jin sings it. You can tell it's coming from his heart because he's also gone through the journey of loving yourself and learning that you are something precious and you should cherish yourself. 💜

Epiphany is one of my favorite songs performed by Jin. He once said that the original plan was for him to pretend to play the piano at the beginning and in response said "I can't lie to ARMY" so he learned to play the first verse and chorus for us. Pictures and videos don't do it justice, it feels magical to see him perform Epiphany live. I wanted to record it when I got to see Jin perform and I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to film.

I would let Jin take me to church, home, anywhere. His soul, his voice, his personality, his wwh manners and face and preciousness he embodies effortlessly. I'd enlist for or with him anywhere, anytime at any age.

There is a live performance, and in that video the emotions manifested and the music made so much sense.. And his vocal ability was on another level.. This song is a masterpiece...

I'm currently 19 years old. Till 2019 (when I found out BTS), I was a very close person, shy and full of insecurities and I didn't feel comfortable with my body (although I'm preety normal just because I have few more pounds). I was afraid people would judge me. Kids can also be preety judgmental when they are young (well older people as well... I was my true self full of confidence and truly happy only with my close family not even my friends. But then my best friend introduced me to BTS. I finally started to feel more confident and accept me as I truly am. Now I befriend people myself, even if I'm cared to do it. I'm really happy and when I'm full of energy around the people I know. And when I feel down I have my stress relief. BTS! When a song can make you feel things, can make you cry, then it's a good song!💜💜💜💜

the ticking sound is the metronome. it mark the tempo, how fast or slow the song goes. it's also one of the sounds that they listen in their in-ears, the headphones that artists use when they are singing live

One thing I really like about BTS is that they're never preachy.. instead, they share their struggles and how they overcame. It's always from a place of love and never in a way they they are better than us. I kind of got tired of the preachy massaging in the west and BTS soft and tender messages is so refreshing.

Another reason why many army were able to help themselves through BTS music specially in this era is because of how they started and ended it. They really showed us through the process of it. It was not abrupt but it was slow and guiding. It felt like you are on a boat where in they let you paddle throught the water rather than just using a motored boat to easily go through it. BTW, I really like how you view it out of the box thus, showing that you really are trying to digest and put your ideas from what you understood

This song always brings me to tears, in a good way. It's happiness, and comfort, and in a weird way, relief. We get bombarded with SO MANY MESSAGES telling us we're not good enough as we are, but we COULD be loved, be popular, be successful, if only we buy their things that will make us thinner, fitter, prettier, cooler, clearer-skinned, better-smelling, paler, smoother, bolder, better dressed... ANYTHING other than what we are, because what we are will *always* falls short of what society tells us we should be... ...and then Jin, one of the most beautiful people on the planet, comes along and tells us in his beautiful voice, "You don't need to change in order to be loved. You are shining and precious. You're not so perfect, but you are so beautiful. You should love yourself just as you are." People seeing BTS for the first time see Jin's face, and hear his silver voice, and probably think he's kind of arrogant and full of himself when they hear him call himself "world wide handsome" or "superstar." But to ARMYs, especially to those of us who are introverts like Jin, we watch him modeling self-confidence for us every day. He tells us that if we're embarrassed, we should keep on going and pretend to be confident, and it will turn into confidence. He jokes about his looks because, as he's said, he didn't do anything to get them-- so *we* don't have to be self-conscious about our looks, either. He tells his reflection every morning that he's handsome, showing us it's okay to love the person we see in the mirror. He tells us all the time, OUT LOUD, how much he loves us, and we love him right back, because how could you not? Everyone else sees Jin's beautiful face, but ARMY knows his heart is even more beautiful.

This song always makes me cry. It's GORGEOUS and it always makes me cry because if makes me want to keep working on loving myself. All their solos follow a story progression, actually! Not only the vocal line solo work. If one analyses it taking the theme of the Love Yourself series into consideration (and how the Intro version belongs to LY: Her), it still speaks of love before it turns toxic. All the solo songs from the LY series are interlocked, from the video performances "BTS Special”, the LY tour or "BTS 2018 Daechukjae special", if we take note the order that they performed, we get this order. 1. i have no words to express how much this song means to me. when bts found me, i was really struggling in my life. i won't go into details but the main point is that i felt so drained. i gave so much of my love and myself away to people i truly love and i have no regrets but i truly was exhausted. i was so much in conflict, wondering why... why do i feel this way? i was ashamed. i felt selfish all of a sudden when i've always relished my selflessness. however, when this song dropped, i got my answer... it was so freeing. the universe aligned and i shed tears for 5 hours straight. then i gave my shoulder a pat, something i've never done before, and remember saying "you've worked hard. thank you. i'm sorry for hurting you and i love you too. i will work better." i told these things to myself for the very first time in my 30+ years of life. i will never forget that night because that's a night i knew my life took a shift for the better. now, i can confidently say i love me. it wasn't an easy journey from that day but the important thing is that i went on that journey and tried... and i succeeded. so i'm forever grateful for epiphany, jin, and bts. after this song, idol dropped and i kept the mantra in my head up to this day - you can't stop me loving myself. in the present, i give love confidently because the love inside me is almost always spilling... because i have a solid affection and love inside of me now. 💜

For me, the real message of Jin is this: you are unable to love if you don't know what love is. If you don't love yourself, you can't comprehend what you feel for others neither you can receive love. So, this was eye opening, soul crushing and soul rebuilding. Jin, my ultimate bias, the first one I saw, the one that resembles so much with me - because we both use others to feel good, #BTSARMY knows what I mean - the sage, the loving teacher, the humble king of our hearts that taught me that to love myself is to love others.💜💜💜💜💜

I absolutely love Epiphany. It has such a beautiful, simple and important message of self-love at its heart. But like all things that seem simple, they are actually profoundly difficult to achieve. Jin does such a beautiful job vocally too and it’s touching that he learned the piano to perform even though he said he could have chosen to just to pretend to but he wanted to make ARMY proud. I am so so excited that you will be reacting to Stigma soon. It’s one of my favourite solo songs. Since you won’t find very much information about the song here is some context and a few facts: The meaning of the word Stigma itself is important. (Source Namjoon v-live where he said all the solo songs on Wings had important titles.) Tae wrote this song alongside Philtre, slow rabbit and hitman bang. Philtre produced it. The lyrics are by Taehyung. Although the Wings short film is titled Stigma and uses snippets of this song. The song has nothing to do with the BU storyline and is standalone. Namjoon confirmed this about all the wings solo’s on his Wings album review vlive in 2016. He also said that Tae’s storyline in the BU is dark. On the same vlive. Namjoon discussed the meaning of all other solos but not Stigma. He only shared that he doesn’t really have much to say on it and that it has to do with Tae’s personal story. That the title was important. The reference to the BU storyline being dark. And that Tae was very cute when he was going back and forward in trying to decide about the wording of his narration of: ‘why did you do that to me’ and ‘are you calling me a sinner’ and whether it should be in English or Korean etc. But when Namjoon heard the full song he understood why Taehyung had been fussing to get the narration right. Taehyung has a younger brother and sister in real life. Tae himself had never talked about the full meaning of the song apart from the process of recording it etc until very recently where he only referenced the emotions he was feeling when he wrote it (in wewerse magazine 2022), that he was feeling ‘fragile’ and ‘broken’. ‘Like shards of glass’ that he didn’t think could be fixed together again. And that ‘I’m sorry you are hurting like this’ to console his younger self. Before this he only talked about it very very briefly in their tour documentary where he talked about the difficulty in singing it live and his worries and nerves in singing it live and to refer briefly that it references pain from when he can’t undo things. Now some wider context separate from Taehyung and BTS. South Korea is a very conservative country in regards to many things culturally. Thousands and thousands of Queer and LGBTQ ARMY identify with this song and find comfort and solace in it. You only have to read the RU-vid comments on this song to see evidence of this. Coming back to the song, while I personally have my own thoughts about what this song is about, and others may have their own as everyone is entitled too... None of us can speak on behalf of Taehyung. And until he chooses to talk about this song fully, it’s all simply guesswork and theory. First time I listened to this song was early last year. I had gotten out of a toxic situation after college. I went back home to my parents and I was cleaning my room I thought I was ok but damn I cried for almost 30 minutes. Jin knows how to embody emotions that we can't put into words.

soft rock songs suit his voice so well also, i don't know if you guys are aware, but jin likes to rap too... but only to a specific song that is super fast and complicated, called Loner by Outsider. so he sometimes raps that in karaoke or car trips, i think there are some compilations on youtube

I really like the way he Sings, especially his breathing Techniques...

This is one of the songs that got me into BTS. Jin struggles in the first years with his body shape and movements and seeing his frustrations just breaks my heart. This song resembles the moment when he started accepting and loving himself! I disagree with Jin because I see him dancing and he does pretty well! He never sang or dance before joining Bighit, those coreos are insane and he was able to keep up since day one! I love these kids so much! Such a great inspiration 💜
