Jirka has started his long-distance journey just several days ago and he came to visit us and also asked us about little service and advice. He is the first Czech who plans such a long expedition on a recumbent and we have gladly supported him and plan to help him throughout the trip. Listen to his plans in the video.

All the best for the journey! Allow me just a few comments. It would be practical to use mudguards. According to my experience, the dual drive drivetrain helps a lot in starting after sudden stops. It is also possible to switch to an easy gear while standing still. This can come in handy in the case of such a packed recumbent.

Great video Jirka. Im very interested in your journey as im planning the same. Im planning to ride around the world on my recumbent also. i have a 2019 Nazca Fuego and will be leaving the UK at the end of Feb. Good luck on your journey!

I cant help but think that the shape of a recumbent bike can be easily adapted to accommodate a hammock frame add on which would allow people to sleep anywhere they feel like parking.

There is no point if it is not comfortable, or the weight of add-ons to make it so becomes too cumbersome to ride with.

Hi, I have a leaving date now to Hoek of Holland on the 5th feb. Heading South east to Turkey and away. you can follow the trip here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KwHcBaiAVF4.html Ive already done the ourney to Turkey on my fat bike but as you can see in these videos , things started to go wrong. The channel will be updated in a couple of months following the journey on the recumbent. It would be great to meet up if possible somewhere! Good luck on your trip!

The challenge for this style of travel is encountered in geopolitical zones like India. Potholes are not a recumbents friend.
