I like JJ as well, but he needs at least a full year, maybe two, behind a veteran QB before he'll be ready. I see Minnesota as an ideal spot for him, if they resign Kirk, to just let him sit and learn.

@@dannyevilcat I don’t necessarily disagree. I mean Mahomes had to sit a year too and lots of other QBs don’t that should. I mean Anthony Richardson was starting this year even though he should have sat a year or two. So while I think sitting a year or two would be beneficial for him, I don’t think he HAS to. He is more ready than someone like Richardson who was able to start year 1. He needs a bit more good weight though. There’s gunna be growing pains starting ANY rookie QB. You either baptize him by fire or bring him on slow. I think Minnesota would be the best spot for him too actually, but I’m a Lions fan so we can’t have that

@@jrhayes6901Definitely. His scrambling ability might be even better & he has a more powerful build. However, his arm strength & accuracy is what makes him a QB.

@@Eon320Maybe. Am I the only person who remembers that Justin Fields told us in a post-game interview that he doesn't even know what his coaches expect of him? Or did no one notice that they abandon all the plays that work but keep ones that don't? I think that Poles & Eberflus who see eye to eye found a team they can turn into Their Own & except for Fields have ousted all the locker-room leaders. So smart or not, they've made up their minds. Maybe Poles can still be swayed into trading the pick instead, but I don't see how they CAN succeed keeping both Fields & the coach who undermined him for two years. & they haven's fired Eberflus. Ah well. Stupid is as stupid does.

Everyone is pretending it’s closer than last year, yet Williams still had a better year than Maye again. This conversation is so boring because only one QB in this class has 3 years of elite production and play making.
