JJ Redick addresses NBA coaching rumors with Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, and Allie Clifton on 'Road Trippin' and explains the only time he's ever been ejected as a coach from his kid's youth basketball game.
@@hendrikdalnoot1989 ah yes because Steve Nash’s lack of experience didn’t matter in him being one of the worst coaches in the league. Ham being a first time head coach didn’t matter to him not knowing how to stop teams from making runs

MJ’s final texts exchange with Kobe (12-8-19) "This tequila is awesome," Kobe texted, referring to Jordan's Cincoro Tequila, a bottle of which was sent to Bryant when it launched. "Thank you, my brother," Jordan responded. "Yes, sir. Family good?" Kobe replied. "All good. Yours?" "All good." Jordan smiled, then decided to have a little fun. "He was really into coaching Gigi," MJ explains, "so I hit him up about that." "Happy holidays," Jordan texted back, "and hope to catch up soon. Coach Kobe??!" "I added that little crying/laughing emoji," Jordan chuckles. "Ah, back at you, man," Kobe wrote. "Hey, coach, I'm sitting on the bench right now, and we're blowing this team out. 45-8." "I just love that text," Jordan told MacMullan, "because it shows Kobe's competitive nature."
Jj redick is very open to being a coach. His name would not be floated in these convos if he was never approached. He interviewed last year and he’ll interview this year.

JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson are a couple of nerds. Just by the way they talk to each other, I feel like I’d be good friends with them lol they got my sense of humor.

An ex-professional basketball player saying only "a small part" of him misses shooting a basketball saddens me so much. Playing the game is why I love it. I can't even compute this response.
Some guys didn't/don't play much pickup, while some hoop ALL the time (Derozan, Jamal Crawford). JJ talked about his off season routine on one of his old podcasts and he didn't really play pickup, just worked out and did his drilling.
I think JJ can become one of the best coaches in the league. He’s a great communicator, a basketball junkie, he’s competitive, and a quick thinker. Redick is going to be one of the great minds of basketball.
Yea it don’t work that way. We’ve seen a lot of “great basketball minds” fail to be a good coach. It’s a tough job that has more downsides than up in my opinion.
That wasn't a really good answer by JJ. It sounds like he just misses being in the NBA. There was nothing about his answer that showed any interest in the coaching part specifically.
Man he gave you the thumbnail, you re the least funny editor or whatever for choosing the regular JJ face instead his face at the end made for the thumbnail, i would have laugh if i had realized at this moment when the thumbnail come from, i m completely disappointed after seeing this and going back on the thumbnail with JJ normal face next to LeBron (obviously for click baiting)
Idk where this JJ a coach thing started but it’s dudes like Sam Cassell who been on the sideline for years & never got a coaching job.. IMO jj would be a great college coach not nba coach.. he’s talking about passion and all of that .. thats college not the pros with these baby players nowadays
*get a clue not 1 but 2* JJ left Yahoo Sports and in *2017* JJ took his talents to Lebron's MEDIA company UNINTERRUPTED .. their friendship appears to have lasted .. seven years later (2024) they've come together in a joint podcast >MIND the GAME .. 🔻the other 3 that you see🔻 Channing Frye, Allie Clifton, Richard Jefferson did the exact same thing in *2015* ALL 3 of them worked together with Lebron on Road Trippin

That was a funny convo. That being said, does JJ realize that missing the friendships, time in the locker room, and the stuff he mentioned will be much different when you’re in position as a authority and having to hold guys accountable? Not to mention that he’ll be old enough to be some of the players dad. He didn’t mention once that he loves to coach and teach.

You'd think JJ would want to spend a year as an assistant just to get his feet wet. I'm sure he'll be great at drawing up plays, the X's & O's of the game, but being a head coach is about so much more than that. He's going to have to learn how to manage personalities, egos, players unhappy with their role, etc... that's going to be the hard part, and if he spent a year as someone's assistant, he'd be able to get experience without having to be the final boss.
Q: what JJ loves about coaching? A: money, willing to be a puppet, started a podcast with his master, spoon feeding JJ all his thoughts for their topics for the podcast
I agree, cricket and 4ra have just leveled up with these new promos. 🎉🏆 can’t wait for the next IPL bets. it’s going to be even more exciting now with all the new features and offers.

Yeah, bro i’m loving how 4ra brings real cricket stars to connect with us! 🌟 it feels so much more relatable and trustworthy. it’s like they understand what we cricket fans really want.
Pals, seeing these legends backing 4ra makes me trust their bets and games more. 👌💸 it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to get serious about their betting.
Here we go with refs taking over games again. On the side note when I played basketball tournaments as a teenager I swear they were refs that were bought cause they would call so many favorable calls to the other team and then 0 for ours. It was frustrating to try and win a game when they don’t want you to
