Imagine seeing Valentina and you didn’t know she’s a fighter. People would assume she’s just an intelligent, sweet, classy lady. They would be shocked to know what a killer she actually is! 🤯
Although that's a very true statement you should really think of people around you the same way,,,,,you never know who you're standing next to or walking by in public. Not insinuating that everyone is a fighter or ultra badass I'm just making a suggestion of the lack of respect for people these days. You don't need to be a super athlete to be dangerous,,,,, I've seen dudes who just train because they love the work look like the where's Waldo character but are severely dangerous but judging from their looks you'd never put two and two together. Never walk around like you can't get touched because Waldo is out there that can send you to another dimension lmao
@@marc2638 exactly, and Waldo may not use his hands! I used to work for cell phone company and had a customer come in with a lady, they seemed normal and he got new service and new phone and left. Got a call a few days later from a detective asking about the dude. Turns out he murdered a guy and was using his identity to buy the phone and was assuming the guys identity he had murdered! That’s a true killer and no one had any idea!
After watching the full podcast, Valentina is amazingly well spoken. Even with broken english. She describes everything in a way that you can understand. She really breaks everything down. 1 of my favorite MMA podcasts from JRE
i know i'm late to the party, but i absolutely agree. she is clearly very intelligent to be able to form her thoughts from a 2nd or 3rd language. she's quite an impressive human being.
Valentina is everything that people THOUGHT Ronda was (including Joe) when she was in her prime. Too bad that she’s not American so she gets about 1/100th of the recognition.
Valentina is a beast and she won the second fight imo. As for Ronda it's not what people "Thought" she she was. She was legit that for a while, but media, Hollywood and her coach altered that. It's basically the same way Tyson was corrupted in him prime. His dad died and King and the Media went to town on his mind.
@@nicholashale7216 Nah, man, Ronda was a quite good judoka, but other sides of her game (mainly striking, standing defense and footwork) were lacking. They were enough at that time and against that competition, but then came other solid women and exposed her weaknesses. Valentina on the other hand is damn solid all around, as true mma fighter should be.
I respectfully disagree. I’m American and I noticed on a lot of comments on videos that Valentina is well known in America and around the world. She is getting recognition and her salary is starting to show that.
@@kevinstafford3221 Clear enough, either the judges did the belt holder's favor.. or were paid off. Valentina landed more strikes and more powerful strikes as well, displayed.more defence. There was a point where Amanda literally hugged on like a Koala and couldn't do / didn't attempt to do anything. Literally saddling and hoping that Valentina couldn't get out and referee wouldn't stand it up to quick. First criteria to score striking and grappling, rounds 2, 4, 5 were Valentina landing more strikes and more powerful strikes. Valentina also countered much more. Aggression, Valentina showed she wanted to win this fight by K.O, Amanda was banking on it going to the judges. Valentina may not have been fully pushing forward, but Amanda was also happy to keep it at Long reach. Control of the fighting area, I'd say this was 50/50 but it would of never even come to this in majority of the rounds if scored properly. Amanda won first round and round 3 could of gone either way.. That still means Valentina had the edge on 3/5 of those rounds. Valentina's 3 losses can be summed up to this; Doctor stoppage when against Carmouche.. first fight against Nunes in the 3 round(fair decision to give Nunes the win in that one) and the second Nunes match where she literally got cheated out of an obvious victory. Pretty sure her Kick boxing career only has 2 losses as well.. the China Unanimous decision one.. was BS and I don't blame her for crossing over to MMA.. I think she done boxing as well.. but only like a few matches, that she didn't lose. So across 3 martial arts, she has been defeated a total of 3 times, with a large amount of wins under her belt.. and never lost by getting K.O'd. 4 decisions and a doctor stoppage. In my eyes she is definitely the GOAT of her gender.. and this isn't a fanboy crush(as I don't find UFC women attractive). This is determined by watching her kill it in a range of martial arts and going out to fight the best, not cushioning her record. Don't get me wrong Amanda is great, she has destroyed some dominating fighters, but she relies on her brute power to much, she could get a little more technical and maybe she wouldn't gas so easy. Plus I love watching Amanda rail Ronda Rousey against that cage..
I love Valentina !! She’s really my favorite female MMA Fighter! Everything about her is just real and she truly just gets better every time!! And you can see the passion she has for the sport! She loves it! I love that
Valentina's natural weight class is 125. The only reason why she fought at 135 was because the UFC had no 125lb division at the time, and she came very close to winning the 135lb belt.
I guess. I just watched the fight and I think Amanda easily wins 3rd fight. She gave Valentina to much respect. She will just take her down and ground and pound if they fight again. 5 round really showed what she should have done.
@@gordonschiff3621, nope. She couldn’t even handle 2 rounds of Peña. Amanda can’t handle the grappling and she got pieced up by Valentina in Edmonton. Horrible decision. Should have been 50-45 UD for this lady. Peña tired out Amanda with less than a round of grappling, and wore her down inside of the next round.
I was literally just thinking the other day about how Joe should have more MMA goats on here. Valentina, Nunes, DC, Cain, etc. Even some repeats like Bisping, Chael, Adesanya, etc. would be cool.
@@jupitercyclops6521 lol. well i dont know her personally, but i've watched her fights and her performances. I'd like to see her and Amanda duke it out a 3rd time while they are both still in their prime.
@@Evghenios79 I hear you brother (OR sister, which ever) & I knew what you meant. I was just giving u shite, Good to see peeps that can take a joke! PEACE!
Tbh Amanda does not have anything special, she literally has just More power cause she’s bigger and when he gets into slug matches she does the most damage
Did Amanda ever praise Valentina???? She even disrespected Valentina by saying she clearly won and its not close that's why he don't want a trilogy.....She is a d**k but at the same time also a pus**
@@markfourtwenty9897 Exactly and I feel like Valentina won the last fight. Amanda got the nod in a split decision but I felt like Valentina won. Valentina is the better technical fighter both standing and on the ground.
@@VitalYFZ I like both fighters but when I watch Amanda's interview asking her about a trilogy I was annoyed by her response she says there's no need for trilogy cause the second fight was not a close fight.... This fight breakdown shows that Valentina won ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IKzo5IC3dpg.html
By far my favorite female fighter ever. She's humble, she dominates, she learns language after language in respect for fans and opponents... She's just awesome.
I agree for sure. She is quiet but by far the most interesting female MMA fighter period. Speaks multiple languages, can fly planes, shoots guns, a Muay Thai prodigy, always respectful and highly intelligent. Then throw on top that she is beautiful, doesn't get much better. 👌
@Mystic Editor that's always possible, but it's improbable. The thing about Val is she doesn't fight with ego, she avoids danger even if it makes her look bad to the most observant eye, but she finds a viable strategy for victory really quickly. I don't see her catching Amanda with clean counter though, she's gotten bigger and better at using reach.
Joe: Amanda has power Valentina: She’s just big Joe: She knocked out Cyborg tho Valentina: Everyone has power 😂 She was not going to give any recognition to Amanda
Valentina definitely needs to get a 3rd fight with Amanda. In my opinion it's a career defining fight. I truly believe Shevchenko defeated Nunes on the 2nd fight and they're the only challenge to each other. Well at least for Amanda because there's some crazy shit brewing in the 115 pound division that might spill towards Shevchenko's 125 Division.
I agree with the 3rd fight but only if Nunes comes down to fight Valentina. Both times they fought Valentina was fighting at Nunes’s weight. To make things even I think they should fight at Valentina’s weight for the 3rd
@@the1ghrol why on earth should nunes go down? Nunes is double champ, if Shevchenko wants to take a title from Nunes, she has to meet her at that weight. Did anyone tell Yan to drop so that it would be fair for Izzy? No. Life is not fair. Izzy should be light heavyweight champion because he's a better fighter than Yan, but life is life.
@@kingmonde I already explained why I think Nunes should come down if they really want the rematch. I don’t care if they never fight again but if they do it has to be at flyweight
@@the1ghrol Amanda has a fairly noticeable height/build difference compared to Shevchenko who's perfect at 125 but tells Joe Rogan it's dangerous just dropping 10 pounds to 115. Amanda at 125 would very likely be drained and open to health problems similar to the time Anthony Pettis moved down to Featherweight. It wouldn't be fair at all. It would actually benefit Shevchenko immensely. 135 is the only way that fight will happen. Also I'm pretty sure Amanda has 2 official victories over Shevchenko. Amanda could retire right now and still be above Valentina. Unfortunately it's Shevchenklo who's gonna have to take the leap if she wants to leapfrog Amanda for GOAT.
@@kingmonde If she goes down to Valentina and beats her, Nunes can say she beat the best version of Valentina (something Izzy would've done if he beat Jan or if Jan beat Izzy at MW). Nunes has beaten her twice, convincingly or not, but none of those fights were in the weight division Valentina dominated.
This is Brogan meeting a Sensei, in the presence of greatness in a sport he loves, the dudes in awe of her, like a proper fan, she deserves it, the Bullet is a future GOAT.
@@badboykydd1994 If you honestly think Amanda is better than her just because she has a 20 pound weight advantage and was favored by the judges, you are delusional
@@RJavier007 well she explains that she knows what's best for her body and those guys knows what's best for there's, what works for one person might not work for another.
It is insane how they have even emasculated James Bond. Daniel Craig started out so great, and he ended up a mopey, whinny, needs someone to guide him around, Beta. The fact that Holly-weird even took down JB is wild. No limits for them.
Normally I wouldn't want to see a 3rd fight when one of the fighters is up 2-0 but anyone who watched both previous fights between Nunes vs Shevchenko knows that it should be 1-1 tied series and 3rd being the rubber match. As far as talent and overall skill in MMA, Shevchenko is by far the best in the women's division. Nunes's brut strength and size is the only reason both fights were even remotely close. Wonder how the outcome would've been if both those fights were at Flyweight (125lbs) rather than Bantamweight?
Agreed, it should be 1-1 tied, that was dog shit scoring.. unlike most people, I actually like Nunez.. but I see Valentina won 2nd, 4th and 5th with 3rd being 50/50.
If that fight happened at 125 Nunes might have literally died from the weight cut. They need to fight at 135, which Nunes might not be able to cut to anymore based on her last performance
Your a good person. Keep in mind people get rewarded in public for what’s practiced in private. Do good and don’t hurt a soul. You will have health and wealth.
@@DonJulio510 I didn't mean I was attracted to her. She's obviously gorgeous but she's so complete. Literally as a fighter (skillset is extremely polished and we'll rounded) and as a woman as well. Speaks multiple languages, shoots guns,is very smart and intelligent.
The respect she commands from Joe is obvious. Anyone who knows the fight game knows how good Valentina is. P4p one of the most skilled fighters on the planet.
@@DoggPackNation I said p4p. When size advantages are not taken into account, Valentina is the best. Valentina went up against a naturally bigger fighter in Nunes and arguably won the second or at least was a draw. Imagine if Valentina is as big as Nunes. Nunes would get destroyed because Valentina is a more skilled fighter and any non casual knows that
I think Amanda is not just heavy. Her boxing technique is incredible for a woman fighter. Shes got the timing and the power too. Valentina is too small and maybe she is certain on not gaining more weight but is not a rule that you become slower and loss endurance if you take enough time to get the gains. You could actually become as fast and durable but way more strong. Anyways is up to the feelings of each person.
Valentina fought 8 rounds against the hardest hitting woman in MMA history and didnt even mention her power. It just shows how elusive she is that she never got hit clean to feel her power.
We should all look forward to and appreciate rolling with /sparring or fighting against opponents that are potentially better than we are in some or even all areas. It's all about rising to the occasion and learning a lot, including about ourselves, in every experience. We should all challenge ourselves without worries about records, money, image, arrogance, etc.
No.. The fight should've been a draw. Neither fighter went for it. You could've gave it to Val but no way you can say "Definitely" for either fighter...
@@devillucifer6843 I don’t agree that she definitely won. She won, but it was not that clear. Amanda out-landed her and out wrestled/grappled her, but Valentina’s punches were more impactful and that’s why I think she won but it was very close. I’ve watched that fight MANY times and I don’t agree that it was a clear robbery, but Valentina did edge it out to me.
Sadly I think nunes wins in a third fight. She's just too big and nunes is better than she was in the second fight . Valentina will always be better but she's just too small
When I saw her for the first time before fighting Holmes, I knew she would win! Such massive strength and skill combined. She's the real deal! Love you, Valentina. Thanks Joe!
I literally have no idea how the statistics say she out landed Valentina in the second fight and why people don’t talk about it as much. She almost didn’t hit her at all & got tagged up every time she came in
@@abhidahiya4007 exactly lol these dudes are pathetic literally obsessing over her “omg she speaks 10 languages” like wtf does that have to do with fighting ? Smh
I'll tell you what, the ladies are ruling the MMA world right now. I find myself more excited for Valentina, Amanda, Holly, Thug Rose fights than the men.
She was right tho - Cyborg fought emotional and backfired on her by going wild and getting KO Nunes will always have the size advantage over Bullet - doesn’t mean Nunes is more skilled tbh, she’s had more glaring weaknesses than Bullet
Except she has won more rounds than Valentina, Val lost a round to Maia. Amanda hasn’t lost a round since GDR who is much better than Maia, no disrespect to Maia.
@MR IV nah, Valentina is the real true champ and everyone knows it. I mean for fucks sake I bet thug Rose is better than lame Amanda and could outclass her with slight ease and ultimately beat her. Bet you any money my guy
@MR IV you know Amanda BARELY can make 135, she is WAY too big to cut to 125, BUT Valentina was wrecking girls bigger than her before they made the 125 div. it was a good fight but i had Valentina winning that second fight. Even in their first fight, Amanda didn't land ANY big shots, and Val may have lost the first 2 round because Amanda held her down, Valentina was beating her ass in the third rnd. if it was Pride rules she would have won both fights...
you cant just claim she won, provide a point of view or some evidence? here are some facts. the fight was 5 rounds valentina never won a single fight stat other than ground strikes.. which she only landed because amanda engaged and landed 2 takedowns.. which valentina had 0. and on those ground strike (her only fight stat she won) she landed a grand total of 4 strikes in a 5 round fight.. wow impressive huh? amanda won strikes. significant strikes. takedowns. control. every fucking stat.
@@corrob you are a complete idiot lol. it doesnt matter if im 150 or 500 pounds.. if i fight at 135 and can cut and make weight and make it like a professional what is the issue? you whine that amanda uses her physical attributes to her advantage (to become the goat of female mma) hahahaha, so i guess jon jones isnt aloud to use his long fucking limbs
I love the fact she is super measured, collected and respectful. You might think being a super cemented champion like her would take a toll on your humility, not her case though.
I like valentina alot but damn can she give Amanda some credit. Size? Holly Holm is bigger than Amanda and she outclassed holly Holm. Same with Pena and even Sarah Kaufman were bigger than her and she beat them.
Valentina is amazing! She is absolutely ruthless too. She'll knock your lights out, and then dance around your unconscious body lol. She's strong, fast, athletic, smart, humble, respectful, personable... she's got it all, man.
Lets not act like you not talking out of your azz.. Amanda lost the second fight and it wasn't even close.. you wanna see the proof? Watch the blow by blow analysis made by the weasle.. Amanda is as much a "goat" as Francis Nganou is a ballerina...
@Nightfall they're tied 1-1. The first fight Amanda won convincingly and the 2nd fight Val edged out by just a little but judges gave it to Amanda but when you compare their resumes, Amanda blows her out of the water.
Watching it back I genuinely believe she got the edge in the second fight. They definitely need to fight again but respect valentina for giving 2 close fights being smaller.
Valentina's only 2 losses the past 10 years were from Nunes! And alot of people think Valentina should've won that 2nd one! So shit, Dana needs to set up part 3, thats about the only fight Nunes can take that will draw, right?
She's smart. Gaining a bunch of weight is playing Amanda's perfected game. Can't outplay Amanda at her own style but she'll have to get super technical without that power.
Dude Amanda evolve so much look what she did with the best female fighters in the world, she destroy them If Amanda and Valentina fight each other now Amanda puts her to sleep There is nothing Valentina offers that is dangerous for Amanda, striking she is not winning neither knocking her out, she is not taking her down, in the ground Amanda is a Black belt, i mean nothing!
@@pearldrums92 maybe in the sense of fighting to the death but I’m not even sure about that. However in terms of fighting style and skills they’re way different Diaz is very clumsy with good cardio shevchenko is so perfect and technical at striking and all aspects of mma it’s like watching art seeing her fight. Shevchenko has beaten Amanda in those last two fights as well she just was on the wrong side of the decision. So it’s kind of like comparing a undefeated perfectionist to a clumsy fighter with cardio but a ton of heart. Not too much similar.
@@ThatCasualZach if you think every decision by an mma judge has been consistently perfect just shows your ignorance on the sport. Btw she was 20-30lb less then Nunez and did more then enough to win in the eyes of anyone whose seen the fight. Look through the comments and you’ll see how many people also say she won. I hope they fight a third time because shevchenko knows not to rely on the judges against her anymore. Hopefully nunes agrees.
@@ThatCasualZach also you sound like the kind of guy who even though u got beat in the fight and the majority of anyone watching agrees you got beat. Valentina sounds like she’s hating a lil bit on here. “Everyone has power.” Umm yeah obviously. But there’s people like Ngannou, Anthony Joshua, Mike Tyson who will literally sleep ANYONE if they touch you. There’s levels within that power meter.
