Mad how quickly Rogan has flip flopped of Conor and Ronda... The fact he said the first round 'doesn't matter' in the last fight says a lot. All I'm saying is Bisping is living proof that a first fight doesn't always mean the second fight is the same outcome. Conor can definitely win the next fight.
Anything can happen in MMA, however in this scenario you have a guy like Nate Diaz who has fought several times at 170 before and Connor McGregor who has only fought at 145 in the UFC. I don't think his power transfers very well 2 weight classes above what he's used to. Also, every fight Connor's had in the UFC he goes in with a mental advantage from all the shit talk prior to the fights. But all that stuff doesn't work with Diaz. If anything I think their first fight put some self doubt on Connor's head and he wants to prove himself wrong.
+Pedro Tavarez Joe doesn't publicly announce his betting picks but has been giving Jamie and other guys the best bets. Jamie won a whole bunch on the Diaz fight.
Oh you mean a fighter giving props to all the other fighters and mentioning their pros and cons in the fight game? Yea good luck not speaking highly or lowly of any and all the fighers in the situation. Fuck face.
McGregor will not vacate and he will get q proper training camp this time and not fuck around and irresponsibly handle his weight. He will go in there and fuck this boy up.
I like how people think cutting weight helps your cardio. Go lose 20 lbs in a week and then see if your cardio is better because you're lighter. Mcgregor got tired because he's not the level of endurance athlete that Nate is, plain and simple.
Conar got tired because Nate was punching him in the face. Getting rocked is not the same thing as gassing. If Nate was punching him in the face and making him see stars, Conar would have been fine. You people will make any excuse to justify your love of the guy. The reality is he got rocked and was about to get knocked out so he took the fight to the ground in a panic move.
***** Sorry, I thought you were one of these guys that say the fight was one sided up until the point Conar gassed. They say he tried so hard to knock Nate out that he used up all his energy. Anyway, sorry for that.
That argument's BS too because it wasn't like Carwin vs Lesnar or Edgar vs Maynard 2/3 where they were basically punching for 5 minutes straight, Connor was walking him down and throwing power shots so his cardio just sucks haha. I'm tired of hearing about it too
Conor will beat nate diaz. I won a big bet when they last fought because i knew how solid nates chin is. But second fight mcgregor will win and ill put some of my winnings on it.
@@el3usis622 Nate finished Conor, Conor won a close decision and the fight ended with nate Diaz pounding mcgregor on the ground until the final bell and helping Conor up to his feet. McGregor saved by the bell in round 3 & 5. Moral and psychological victory for nate hes basically 2-0 vs McGregor.
@@heavyrules6699 20 pounds heavier they were maybe 10 or a little more apart in the Octagon and it doesn't really matter since Nate's weight is produced evenly through his lean body type
Yup! My father and I are big boxing fans and just happened to walk in to a Buffalo Wild Wings and watched these amazing fights. That come from behind win from Diaz made the whole place go nuts. UFC is definitely on our hit list from now on.
Dude, joe rogan is always like this, he always rides those who just won, nothing new. Where conor shines? Fucking boxing and knockout power, not just knockout power. Conor outboxed diaz clearly in the first round, the main problem was conors cardio. I dont get how people dont see that. When people say nate is better than him in boxing i get a headache because he nates face was butchered at the end of the fight.
bibibibibi12345 I think that was he's strategy , have conor imply his will while he had conors heart out of the game!! Then capitalize ...if conor boxing he should of ko him or atleast dropped him;! ..
Even when Diaz was flurrying, usually at the end of the round, Conor was ducking, elbowing, slipping, but didn't bring his hands up as if he was in trouble. I think both fighters played the clock to what they thought was their advantage. Conor early in the round, Nate later in the round. It was a great performance by them both. I think Nate should fight since he has draw power and can make money fights instead of just waiting on Conor.
Joe please bro don't leave man I don't know if they just rumors you the best at what you do man UFC won't be the same without you I'm a huge fan keep up the good work!!
I'm super pumped for the rematch ... anything can happen! huge Nate Diaz fan (Stockton city)... I think they will both come in prepared and fighting smarter.
@Dantes230 don't really get the no time limit argument doesn't really make sense it's not a street fight its a sport. 5 5 minute rounds. Sorry but your crazy if you think Diaz won that second round conor dropped him twice
@All_lives_matter, reject fabricated racism by govt ur comment is super biased. "diaz would beat mcgregor if no time limit" - That is literally the most stupid thing i've heard. This is MMA competition, if u want more rounds then go to boxing. If there were unlimited rounds then Nate would be undefeated cuz he's so durable but what ur saying is shoulda woulda coulda. U claim its luck but could say that for the first fight too, Conor went up 2 fucking weight classes and didn't anticipate Nate being there after the first. lack of preparation but Nate ultimately won. And no it wasn't a draw, Conor won rounds 1, 2 and 4. So like i said, ur biased and it shows. U might hate conor which is fine, can't change ur mind on that but to say that Nate would fuck him up bad is dumb cuz did u even watch the 2nd fight? It was a war. I wouldn't know who would win the 3rd cuz it would be soooo close but neither one of them are getting "fucked up bad". It would be a great back and forth
that really was an exciting fight watching Nate Dismantle Conor was probably one of the most satisfying exciting fights. Recently Dan Henderson knocking out his opponent with a reverse elbow was insane, and he did it at 45 years old which was absolutely insane. I lost my shit when i saw that happen.
Nate's amazing and it's a shame it's taken Conner to give him the attention he deserves, Conner has balls and is one hard warrior, both are worthy champions in my eyes
+Sam lol wow. these people actually exist. blind fan. here he is. Nate beats Connor 9/10 because he can take a shot. can box and is a beast on the ground . he is almost the ideal fighter to beat Connor. without several years of jujitsu Connor is never the favourite in this fight
solid oxygen tank? i thought conor could go 10 rounds or whatever he was saying before. He could go all day he said... haha until he got slaped the shit out of him. Nate will slap him even harder in the next fight
As much as I love to listen to Joe's take on fighters. He's say's, quote "where is Conor shining. Fast forward to post McGregor Vs Alvarez, quote " It's almost magical how good Conor is, there's no fat in his movements, he just pops in and out and BAMB.
Yeah this is all true. But just because joe said Connor fights that well, doesn't mean the 2nd fight would go that clean. He isn't jumping sides. Literally all of these guys have amazing talent. And it doesn't always shine. Look at Tyrone Woodley vs Usman. Or Colby Covington vs lawler
@@texaswindowfilms8533 . Good point! They all shine in different areas at different times I suppose. It just proves that MMA maths doesn't work. X beat A,B and C but they all beat Y who made light work out of X. Conor is my favourite fighter and I'm probably biased so it'll be interesting to see how the next couple of years go for him!
@@texaswindowfilms8533 well I'm sure you heard the latest interview with Dana White. He said that Ferguson/Gaethje is happening as Khabib can't get out of Russia. He said It'll happen in an undisclosed location with no fans (an island). All sounds a bit fucking crazy. I think he needs to accept that the UFC and it's employees are not exempt from getting this virus and hit the pause button properly. Have a look at the interview with Bret Okamoto if you haven't already were he's just refusing to let the C virus stop them. Rogan and McGregor were right, this fight (Ferguson/Khabib) is jinxed and now for a 5th time, it won't happen again.
I truly believe the second fight between Conor and Diaz will be a completely different fight. Every fight is different, this is shown in the fights between Rockhold and Bisping. I believe there were several or factors that lead to Conor loss in his first fight against Diaz. First, Conor putting on so much muscle mass in such a short amount of time, ultimately had a negative affect. Conor did not have time to get use to his body which lead him to gas out quickly and which lead him to get caught in the second round. Also, i believe after Conor beat Aldo in 13 seconds he truly believe he unstoppable and he could knockout anyone if he was able to connected. Conor, believing he could stop anyone and on top of that believing he could predict the round in which he would do it put so much pressure on him to finish the fight against Diaz in the first round. He was basically head hunting in that fight.... Im not saying he will win the rematch, im just saying it will be a different fight. It is also important to mention that Conor has a history of coming back much better after a loss. I believe if he fight intelligently and picks his shots and does not go head hunting (like when he fought Max Holloway) he had a good shot of winning the rematch.
conor heaved those left hands in the first with everything and nate was like lmao, sorry the only way conor wins this fight is by doctor stoppage due to old scar tissue opening over nates eyes, conor cant finish nate and even when josh thompson head kicked diaz shin to dome nate was only stunned, wasnt even out cold, diaz brothers are warriors
+Pedro Tavarez really dustin? lmmfao Conor is walk he should have come in at 155 he beat all small guys, nah I'm a real mma fan that understands fighting and bullshit when I see it, Conor got put into the spotlight he didn't earn it in the cage. ppl forget he was submitted twice before so we know he quits
+West Craven Poirer walks around 185, Holloway at 175, Aldo 170-175 how exactly is he twice the size of them? don't see you talking shit about any of them being the same size as conor and doing the same thing it's really sad you need to find something to bitch about to satisfy your lonely life haha
+lee walsh lol he might walk around at 185 now but I just saw the interview b4 the Conor fight so what u talking about lmmfao there's no way he cut 40 lbs to fight Conor lol I like how ur now calling me names, u don't know me n don't know what I do,so yea u go to bed Lil whatever you are lmmfao
theres a difference between walk around weight and fight weight... If Aldo walks around at 175lb, he's almost certainly carrying a lot of excess body fat because no way does he enter the octagon at that weight.
+Pedro Tavarez nahhhhh Joe always said holly had the best stand up game out all the women he'd seen and he said she would win of Ronda dint take her down he mite lick bum every now and then ( not like he can disrespect fighters ) but he knows his shit
Only way he wins is by decision the Diaz brothers don't get finished. That being said I'm not saying it's impossible for mcgregor to win but very unlikely imo
+Aaron Knox That's not entirely true. Nate Diaz was knocked out by Josh Thompson. And he did that by beating Nate up with leg kicks, something Nate struggles to defend. After so many, Nate's offense is neutralized. He than becomes so worried about the leg kicks that his head becomes more vulnerable to hit. In that fight, a high kick did it. The rest was history. To win, that is the same game plan Conor must use. Once he lands those leg kicks constantly the punches will follow. Knocking Nate out cold is impossible, yes. But a referee stoppage, is not.
I disagree and so did the medical staff. Nate Diaz was on medical leave till 4/20... Not Conor. Yes those punches to the face Nate did a good job of absorbing them, but he got hit way to much. Not with jabs but with legit crosses to the face. I've watched McDonald, RDA and Henderson throw Nate around like a rag doll yet he still didn't look as bad as he did after the Conor fight. So you are using an opinion. I'm using facts. Nate took more damage in the fight and that's a fact. A medical fact.
+joe smith I guess you are a casual fan but the date is a fact. The MMA world joked about it cause the date is 4/20. Come on man, it's June now haha. Get up on the information. 👍
he wouldn't get robbie title fight, he'd just leave 170 and fight for the 155 title after he gets his 145 belt back. then probably 18 months if he wins his 145 and then 155 belt they'd give him Robbie and then Mcgregor would go back to ireland with 2 belts in his casket
This is still a no risk situation for Conor. Let me explain why. So let's say Conor loses again, he's 0-2 in 170lbs. he's still the featherweight champion, and yeah he might say " ehhh I'm humble in victory or defeat. I tried again yeh, maybe i worked on my precision and speed too much and forgot my power, but ehhh props to Nate yeh I'll be back" Conor still wins because this is not his division, he probably will never comeback at 170 . People will still pay to see him fight at 145 or 155. Now let's say Conor win OMFG. he fucking did it! this man said he'll do it and he did it. the whole world would go crazy. Mayweather might get afraid to face him, he beat a bigger man at his division (I know Nate is not 170 but he has more experience in 170 than conor does) Conor wins here big time. More people will pay any amount to see him fight, mayweather fight will go trough the roof. And conor will get his confidence back TIMES 10000. he'll probably never go back to 145 again and will chase Dos Anjos (if he still the champ which i think he will cuz he facing a clown) and this fight will do huge numbers. Probably a super fight with Lawler or Woodley will be on the talks too. So either way this shit goes Conor Wins. Nate also wins if he beats Conor again maaaaaan, his numbers will go up as much as conor's probably. now is nate loses he can ask for a rematch but most likely he won't get it.
nah, I reckon conor has everything to lose and nate has nothing. If he wins, then he resumes where he left off as the fighter to watch. If he loses, then he looks sad. The matchup actually makes no sense at all. Next step for conor should have just been to fighter whoever wins edgar/aldo and then go for the rda if he wants to prove himself.
He should stay in the 145 division aldo wanted to make the jump to 155 years ago to try and be a dual champion but dana wouldnt let him, but conor is easier to market so they let him do it
Diaz is still the underdog in this fight and his chances are even better at winning this time around? Fucking stupid. Diaz is going to spank Connor even worse this time.
these conor nerds still sour and completely ignore the fact nate walked off a yacht on 10 days notice drunk and with food poisoning, ate conors biggest punches then choked him out and nate could of did a triathlon after the fight, conors an amateur who knocked out a few midgets, ran his mouth, got a big push and got derailed by an elite fighter, nothing more
not a fan boy of mcgregor but aldo who arguably the best ever in his division.he held the belt for 10 years. mendez who is a great wrestler and been a in a contender position for a while and matt halloway who is on a 8 fight winning streak. all you have said did was regurgitate stuff already said by others almost word for word. i love ufc not just conor get that straight
One lucky punch a fluke lol Mendez had a 12 days camp lol Holloway was only 21 and had no Boxing coach lol his training partner was holding mits for each other lol
Nah man what's stupid is hating on someone because they are successful, win lose or draw Conor has already accomplished more than you ever will or would in many lifetimes, this is not to say that he is the be all and end all fighter but IMO he is a stand up guy in terms of how he carries himself regardless of result, no hate just think about it:)
+Guy Sherf DO you think CONor McGregor can beat khabib cos he beasted dos anjos , So you think CONor would ko or tko dos anjos cos kavanaghs brown belt boy is not gonna submit high level black belt , Sad that he can't defend title but gets rematch with Diaz and option for dos anjos , DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE
Has anyone else got a sneaky suspicion that Dana has paid nate off to take a dive so they can keep mctapper's rep in tact and set up a third fight for even more money, because realistically if el tappo loses this fight he is done, I cant see him making the cut for 145 anymore..............Normally I would lay money on Nate but im not going to risk it in case the fix is in
rrajeevy lol i know its far fetched and I dont want to believe it but with pro fighting you just never know, dana is corrupt we all know that, and Ronda and conner are his poster babies, but if they cant fight what use are they for promoting a fighting company, so he needs them to be on top and mctapper is risking his reputation by possibly getting 2 straight losses, i am just trying to think like dana would.....Id like to believe UFC would never do that but they did promote mctapper as the GOAT when he is nothing of the sort
John Garvey I was thinking the exact same thing hes not the sort to take a bribe....but everyone has their price, and nate does say now he is only taking money fights after having a taste of big money
Love Nate Diaz as a fighter, but saying jumping people is cool, is stupid. 1 on 1 or bitches vs 1. But when Nate diaz said my crew vs your crew that sounded alot better and alot more badass.
Dave Smith was creaming himself thinking of Nate the gangster.. but in reality Nates just a normal guy... a professional sportsman with a smart mouth, hes not gonna jump someone for no reason
I got my money on nate simply because conor is more of a show off, the way he trains looks cool, but isn't that effective, and all those wheelkicks like they do in movies looks dangerous but never lands. Conor is pretty much overrated
There are 1 million examples of wheelkicks landing and working in fights... one of the most devastating kicks you can throw. But yes it's a low percentage move.
but i agree its low precentage. i think mainly. especially if you look at how mcgregor threw it in the diaz fight in particular. he's doing it to keep your defense honest, as opposed to legitmately trying to land it.
MofromIWM Yeah agreed he throws his kicks really to set up his punches. Against Diaz though he's going to have to massively change his tactics. The fact that he's a southpaw and only threw 1 leg kick already tells me his tactics were completely wrong in the first fight. Benson and RDA wrote the blueprint as to how to beat Diaz on the feat if you're a southpaw. Constant leg kicks.
Only spinning wheel kick KOs that I know of: Edson Barboza vs Terry Etim, JDS vs Mark Hunt, and that capoeira guy Marcus Aurelio who tries about 1000 spinning wheel kicks per fight.
It's easy to comment on events with hindsight, but safe to say neither of these two covered themselves in glory with the either the analysis of the first fight or the prediction of the second fight.
Connor's risking hundreds of millions for a tens of millions paycheck. If he loses again to Nate Diaz, he's done. The hype, the shit-talk, will all be superficial and sad. And that sweet paycheck, the rolls royces, the suits, the big media publications, will all be gone and he'll be another one of the herd. If Connor beats Nate, who cares, he won and then he'll go back down to defend his belt and maybe move up a weight class now that IV's are banned and the weight cut nearly kills him. If Connor intelligently thought this through, he would realize that taking fights he has better chances at winning in the long run he will easily break 100 million dollars in total accumulated fight purse money because the hype train would only continue and people would give a fuck about him because he talks the talk and backs it up, but if he loses, he ruins any chances of that all for a quick 25 million with a guy he's likely never to beat. 25 million's a lot of money, but the way Connor spends it he'll be broke by the time he defends his featherweight belt, no matter who he fights in the meantime.
This isn't true at all!!! If Conor is willing to fight at 145 he will be fine. He owns that division. Conor is the champion of that division. They'll say 170 is to much for him. Conor is a 'midget' and he needs to fight other 'midgets'. Nate can carry the weight better do to the height difference. Conor being 5'9 not 5'11 like Max Holloway can't hold the weight. He wins two more fights at featherweight and people will forget.
