this is why jail fucking sucks it turns people into even more of animals than they already are. definitely need to be more rehabilitation. but hey it made joe a savage
@@elgravital3268'people still die in car accidents. seatbelts are useless' this is what you sound like. don't stay up too late buddy it's a school night
@@inspectremagnaI get that but it’s not so black and white. Dude, you can go it with bright eyes and a will to rehabilitate yourself, prison will crush that in moments. It’s actively set up to crush you, and make sure you come back. Can you make it through? Sure, but we have to ask ourselves what do want out of our institutions? Should every person that makes a mistake be sent to a hell hole or are we trying to make functioning members of society?
You can conclude and decide all you want that you want to change, but the environment has to allow it. As it stands now you are forced into gang activity based on race to protect yourself in most prisons. It is not simply a cage away from society. It is connected to criminal influence, designed to keep people coming back. Many of them make profits on their prisoners. It is not an environment that fosters personal responsibility. You can purposely ignore the nuances of it, but simplifying complex issues is not clever. It's simple minded.@@inspectremagna
@@inspectremagnaYes which is why famously recidivism is so low. Famously no one in America that goes to prison is likely to go back, this system you speak of works perfectly fine.
@@inspectremagnanot really anyone can simplify something down to bare bones to make it sound black and white. Also rehabilitation is ONE of the things prisons are supposed to. Why even defend this shitty system like it works 😂. Like other places around the world don't have WAYYY less people who are reincarcerated.
In the fighting world joe is in the 1% of elites fighters for technique and ability, 4 year state champion, and one national champion. Back by a world record spinning back kick Joe has one of the hardest kicks in the whole world.
@@orestisnathanlanitis4913 Learn to read. The comment did not state he is a top 1% of elite Fighters. But Joe is definitely in the 1% based on what is written.
Joe Rogan is an amazing fighter seen or unseen. I will not doubt that he is an elite martial artist inside and outside of the mma world. Flashy like a traditional martial artist with the effectiveness of a modern elite fighter.
No, that's definitely not it, he was a really young guy when he was sent to prison. Most likely he was there for awhile, and was probably a white guy that in the beginning did the whole run with a gang thing to fit in and got covered in racist tattoos of every kind, as most tend to, but the longer he was there and the closer he got to paroling, the more sensibly he started to think.
Wonder what ended up happening to him. Sounds like he was a pretty angry dude so I’m guessing he most likely ended up going back to prison at some point. I forget what the percentage is exactly but a lot of those dudes end up goin back
As an ex corrections officer, this is a pretty common development. Im an experienced weightlifter and i remember studying this stuff. I studied how or why men in prison are able to put on so much lean muscle while being there. It doesn't just have to do with being bored and you're only activity being weightlifting. It has to do with environment. Your brain starts producing more testosterone and sends a signal to the rest of your body to exhibit and more male expression through your dna. Being around all of these other men, that you deemed dangerous, you have a heightened sense of awareness. 24/7 you carry the thought that you are surrounded by men that can kill you semicolon your brain has no choice but to make your body adapt. So it starts expressing more of the male hormone. DHT starts becoming apparent and that's also why you'll notice a lot of men that are in prison and get jacked, end up coming out with hairloss also. Theres also been a little recipe for homemade testosterone inmates have been using for like 50 years. Even pharmaceutical testosterone comes from yams.
@@TruthIsToBlame nothin lol it never worried me much. I've dabbled with gear over the years, and I'm also 6'5 245lb. Outside of that, most inmates aren't going to treat you like garbage if you have enough respect for them to treat them as human. The biggest thing to me was to remember they're all just people that made one bad decision that turned their whole life towards crime.
The best way to pressure test in the gym is hard sparring. It made him better at fighting because he was fighting lol. It should be done every now and than, especially if you're not into competing. But it's the best way to put yourself closer to an actual self defense scenario the closer you both are to tearing each other apart in a safe environment.
I have a friend exactly like this, nice kid, capable but not violent whatsoever. Went to jail when we were 17 came out when we were 23 and was a different dude, absolutely the most violent individual I’ve ever encountered. I fought him over 20 times before cutting the friendship off bc he was *always* looking for a problem with anyone, even his friends
He still has one of the hardest kicks ever measured. He's an athlete through and through. You can't take that away from him, he still trains and is in fantastic shape.
You have to train with tough guys to become a good fighter. But this guy sands his tattoos off. That's a serious tough guy. When you get headaches that is common in sparring. Everyone goes over the 75% rule and it escalates a little. Me and Eric Uresk had one sparring fight where we slowly escalated into a brawl. I was going to do something crazy and I stopped. My nose was broken, bleeding and I let him go after a takedown. I was going to lop his head off by running into a steel column. I decided not to commit manslaughter. When we stopped Eric had black and blues all over his legs. It was my fault. I started kicking his legs too hard. Not 75%. I was studying a lot of Muay Thai. Now, Eric Uresk has a lot of experience with Muay Thai. I wouldn't want to fight him now. Eric's a good coach now. He can mentor people. He has a good attitude. When we fight it's out of control. 🤣I actually like the guy. He's a good dude.
Roids are very common in prison, they’re not hard to smuggle at all. One study tested prisoners and found 12% were on roids. The strict routine helps, but people want to look big and scary so they are less likely to get hurt hence they turn to roids. It’s about as much fun as you can have in prison
Back in the day my buddy's "twins" got a set of Mohammad Ali 16 oz gloves for Christmas. Boy .... The headache's, knockouts and full blown throwing hands in a living room, on concrete and backyards ... That's was just a part of my childhood that slowly turned boy's into men. I was the one to catch a upper cut on the street. Threw a haymaker and dropped my head. My man came up on my chin. Stood me up, spun me 180° and direct chin to pavement. I snored and was cold out till morning when I woke up for school
Lolol every legit boxing gym has AT LEAST 3 dudes just like this. They’re cool af after sparring (‘fighting’ in Joes words) because there’s a mutual respect between two fighters who follow all he unwritten rules we all know. And it’s just part of the game. As long as you make the maniac respect your skills in the ring or cage. And you treat him with respect as a person. No biggie, just another day in the office, as they say.
My main sparring partner (kickboxing) was an off shore fisherman. Dude was tough as nails. The other was a bouncer in Oxnard Ca bars. Just tough as nails these two.
yeah you can sand off tattoos, doesn't need to leave a mark. Sand it so it's LIGHTLY raw. It will scab over. Peel the scab when it's not fully healed over ( still adhering to the skin ) and you'll peel bits that have black ink on it. Its a chore but if you do it a couple times on small areas you can take off solid black tattoos off.
“We fought to the death but no one actually died. Anyway, Jamie can you find that video where I fought that bear, you know the one where I fought that bear to the death and the bear that was jacked on roids and ended up running off”
