i mean if you're going to steal a killer whale away from its mother and lock it in a cage for its whole life the least you could do it give it some valium
"Benzos? That's terrible! What happened when they gave them DMT? ... They never tried giving the killer whales DMT, like ever? ... Jamie .. uhhhh get them on the phone I want to talk to them. See if we can get these poor whales some DMT, they need it, I can tell."
100% dont blame animals for the sudden lashing out and killing people. thats so much abuse just building and building and the drugs!!! wow so infuriating
So theres a bunch of xaned out sea creatures getting all moody and swimming around lit as hell inches from the people who hold them in captivity and drug them daily fuuucking great
They're probably going through withdrawal at points, too, that's crazy. Benzo withdrawal is no joke and there is no way they aren't hitting withdrawal at some point again and again. I'd go crazy, too.
@@girlinabox1943 I had to withdraw from Xanax after being on 4mg a day for over a year. The tapering off nonsense doesn't do any good unless you can sit at .5mg for months on end. That was a bitch and I wish that upon no one.
@@TheKingKudu And if you think it was right to domesticate and breed killer whales as smart as they are in those small ass tanks, then you're a fucking idiot.
@Azurealms99 - F#ckin’ right, my man. I got your back. It’s seriously some twisted shit. Let. Them. Just. Live. FREE. Damnit. We make the Plague look exponentially sweet compared to what we have put these creatures through in the name of entertainment. I hope that we lose that fascination with morbidity at the expense of kind souls.
Buying tickets to these places fuels this evil industry: stay away from SeaWorld, folks. These animals are meant to live in the wild, not be treated like entertainment slaves for your pleasure.
@@averageblonde5496 That's ridiculous to even compare us to animals. Animals function based of instinct. We function based off logic and reasoning. To animals, a comfy, cozy life is not desirable. They are programmed to hunt, and kill, and survive in the wild, when you take that away it destroys their mind.
I think there was a recent controversy with the daily mail at the time. Also the daily mail is a banned source on Wikipedia due to their history of poor fact checking. Still, that's no reason to ever read a BuzzFeed article.
While Buzzfeed sucks they do a semi decent job, occasionally, with normal news. Daily Mail is an absolute dumpster fire in terms of fact checking. Whereas Buzzfeed, again, with normal news, is more of an office trash can fire.
@Joseph Mason No but I do realize that you think that which I find funny especially cause I catch myself doing the same thing. Truth is it's not different at all, if anything it might actually be slightly better.
He did not say that! He said "let's go with buzzfeed", which means out of all the option he probably had the least counscious despise for it. Does not mean he likes or is endorsing buzzfeed
When I was a little girl, my parents always wanted to take me to sea world. I never agreed because I knew that they were inhumane places and that seeing a whale wasnt worth the suffering inflicted to the animal. I'm glad I never went
Never sign a petition to change the laws? You need to read what you wrote. I’m sure you meant to tell people hey SHOULD sign a petition to help, but that’s definitely not what you wrote, my dude. Here’s what it should say (IF you’re saying people should help): “Sign a petition, help change these laws, and don’t ever go to Seaworld.” When you start with “don’t” at the top, you’re telling people not to do all the things you’re about to list (like signing a petition and changing laws). Communication is key when trying to get your message out, especially one you care about. Remember that.
Just killer whales? They are all starved into performing from sea lions to walruses to parrots...everything is starving and if they refuse to do a trick in a show, they with hold the food until they do it.
Joe "It's difficult for people to give a shit about anything if it doesn't affect them personally. If you see an animal going through this, you feel it. You-" 'Whoops, looks like we're out of time folks!' Rogan
I still can't believe the owner of Marine Land gave me an Ice Cream and an Orca plushy when I was a kid... Even gave me a ride in his golfcart to get it...
When I first started my pet sitting business I was called last minute to an overnight job for two weeks, the guy currently doing it couldn’t handle everything this lady wanted. So I didn’t meet the woman before I started the job. She had 3 dogs and 2 cats. 2 of the dogs were medicated at night and 1 of the cats (it was one of those bengal/house cats so it had a lot of energy). Valium. I had such a hard time doing it… the cat especially would go from this sweet, vocal, graceful cat to sitting on the sofa high as a kite. It was BS and of course turned out the lady was psycho and pulled up herself. I can’t imagine working with wild animals and being forced to do this regularly.
I remember going to Marine Land as a kid but now I’m horrified at the thought of whales in captivity..it’s hard to believe it’s been ignored for so long by so many.
The bear's name was Rocky. It killed the trainer/owner's brother. He was standing next to the bear for a photo for something and the bear just turned and chomped on his jugular unprovoked for no reason. He stumbled away and died within minutes. It took bear spray and the other handlers beating him with sticks to get it to finally let go of his throat. Then they kept the bear alive for some unknown reason, but it was never allowed to be around anyone ever again except the owner guy. Basically, just was cage kept and had no idea why suddenly it was being locked up and not let out. Great story with a very strange ending.
It wasn’t for no reason… you act as if it’s not a wild animal… it’s a WILD ANIMAL common sense ! The guy deserved to be killed for how idi0tic he was …
I went to SeaWorld for the first time when I was about 8 years old and it took me all of about a half an hour to realize that the entire place was nothing but a torture chamber for all of those animals. I was amazed that no one else could see it
Unfortunately without zoos many of those animals will go extinct now. Its a way to raise awareness and conservation efforts. You can't compare accredited facilities to unaccredited. Its like comparing smut films to Oscar award winning films
So where are the sick and injured animals going to go in that area ? where is the anti venom for things like snake and spider bites going to be created ? Are we just going to let some creatures go extinct instead of the zoo's intervening ?
I have to say I'm not surprised about the Valium bc they are all related to tilikum and he had issues with being aggressive. Another case and point, marine land is a giant cemetery. They started putting dead bodies in the ground and building roller coasters over it. All animals in SeaWorld and other places have sad lives and live in a fish bowl compared to what they are used to in the wild or could be.
Its weird how that works. People have been speaking out against the Iditarod for decades now. lol im trying to get on there. I filled out an application for me and a few of the other sled dog industry whistleblowers.
I live in Ontario, same province where marineland is located. The animals are completely skeletal. It’s coming out now how badly the animals are treated finally.
This is disgusting. I took xanax 2 mg a day for two weeks, quit cold turkey, and I literally wanted to kill myself the withdrawals were so bad. I was also having mild seizures, and my eyeball felt like someone was inflating it with air and it was on the verge of popping for 3 weeks straight every second of the day. Anyone who has taken benzos before know they're literally torturing these "mammals". I just noticed they put animals in the description btw lol
"If that animal gets a member of the public in its mouth...its OVER...I mean he's gonna toy with them for a little while, you're gonna hear a lot of screaming, but that screaming WILL end..." Holyfuckshit. So CASUAL.
You know high-level veterinary offices give valium to dogs and cats yea? Its called diazepam, valium is just the TM and its commonly used. Whether or not its safe for orca whales is a mystery to me though.
A shocking amount of animal documentaries are actually from specific welfare accredited AZA non profit zoos and aquariums. But do note a AZA non profit is not a oceanarium and not a roadside zoo tourist trap. It’s a legitimate hybrid Educational and conservation based facilities.
when I was a kid and I was introduced to the concept of sea world I was confused and basically a disappointed level of upset, I was like the clowns being in the circus is okay because they choose to be there and perform, the animals don't benefit anything from this and they don't confine the damn trapeeze, I'm sure they would rather be where they belong
Just wanted to leave an interesting thought. Demers mentioned towards the end about how people respond to the treatment of the animals based on how they personalize an experiemce with them. Scientists and conservationists aknowledge this and often have to consider this kind of relationship relative to wildlife conservation. For conservation projects to be successful you almost always need the support and commitment of the public. You have to convince people to recycle and you need to convince people to willingly stop activity like deforestation. Its the same with saving animals. Because of a lack of enough money and support conservationists have to find a way to appeal to the public to cooperate.
It makes me realise how shallow we are as creatures that to get on board with something, we need it to be entertaining for us to give a damn. I’ve been to Loro Parque in the Canaries myself which is the European/African equivalent of Seaworld, and I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I was just as much a part of the problem. Everyone just hides behind cognitive dissonance to enjoy half an hour or so of these beautiful animals being used as entertainment. I still feel bad for laughing as I was splashed by the immensely powerful tail fin of this creature whose life is a misery. I hope there can be some way we can get people interested in conservation without the need for shallow and humiliating entertainment but I don’t have that much faith in humanity if I’m being honest.
That's the catch 22 on these places they educate kids and get them interested in fields that we need people studying in but they're quick to turn a blind eye to corners being cut in the name of holding onto every penny because these operations are expensive.
Poor Peanut. These animals are super smart. Peanut saw the walls of the pool getting higher and higher as the water drained. Then she found herself stuck on the ground wondering what's happening behind her - watching the surface of the water turn to blood, "Wait, are they killing us now?"
Not only I believe animals belong in the wild but also people should leave animals do their thing. It's far more interesting to watch animals do their thing than go make selfies with them. We should not support any of this places circus included. It's all sorts of wrong. These animals are prisoners. On drugs... 🤦🏻♂️
Yee Yee nah Omnivorous 😁 but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel compassion for all living creatures. One thing does not impede the other. But your question shows you are short minded and perhaps you should get out of the little bubble where your mind currently resides.
Hugo M B Martins whoa bud I told you it’s just a question, the fact that you took offense to a simple question without knowing my intentions, and proceeding to assume that I am small minded because of this question, is a very immature and small minded thing to do yourself, I added the “Just a question” part to show that you were not supposed to take offense to my question. A question which formed out of just curiosity and nothing more, you really should think about situations before responding with insults, It would help out in your personal life too, stay humble.
Yee Yee suit yourself. What you may think is your opinion as it is my own opinion what I think of you. I didn’t take offence from it I simply don’t think that the fact that I feel compassion other living beings dictates I am or I might be of some type of affiliation or places me within a category. I know that your question had an intention behind it, perhaps to trigger me but it doesn’t and my answer was simply the one you needed to educate you that you shouldn’t depreende that because I believe in X I should be Y. I hope you consider these words not as an assault at your intellect but to show you that there is room for improvement. Don’t get stuck contemptuous frameworks. We are all different and as such we shouldn’t be placed in “boxes” because of our views.
Hugo M B Martins you see, that is where you’re wrong, you have no idea what my intentions were when I asked the question, and if you somehow could read my mind and see my intentions, you wouldn’t be commenting on a RU-vid video😂
MB808AllDay in fl, can confirm this. We got busch gardens, universal, lego land, swim with manatees, adventure island and SO MUCH more. No reason to keep these animals.
[Name The Trait] FL in general has tons of animal attraction. Most people go because they are unaware of the legal battles and you can get 3 parks admission all year for less than 30 bucks a month. Busch gardens has animals, adventure island has slides and shit but no one suspected Seaworld was abusing animals until shit like this came out, and Sea world did receive backlash. I do think orca torture will end but shit its not fast enough. We got lego land too this is dumb and unnecessary.
surelyU Rcrazy Yeah humans entertainment has been placed WAY above an animals entire life and the suffering, abuse, drugs, punishments, freedom, etc. and the consumers are responsible for this. Can't stand this level of greed.
