True he is is, but he as anybody he will get weaker for each year when getting older. He has nothing to prove anymore. He might be doing it for 100% of the fun now :-)
It's a shame we don't have armwrestling in the Olympics John would be one of the most decorated medalist this country would have ever seen . I hope one day this sport is added to the Olympics.
@@Xplora213 very true but that would be pretty cool to have it in the Olympics! Hell they have all these other weird crazy ass sports that I dont even know the name of or how there played but there in the Olympics somehow....🤷♂️🤷♂️!! This would be a far better spectacle and more entertaining then most sports they have now. But I like how they added the Xgames stuff to it!!! Awesome or should I say EPIC these days....lol👍
@@justinspenceley818 yeah this is a great point. Dancing horse undermines a lot of arguments. I suspect you might not like Olympic arm fights though. It would be strap only. Tested. There might be a chance it was freedom or arm sumo. The pads on table is recent. I felt arm sumo offered some interesting opportunities.
Wow, Chance tried to explode at the start of the last match, didn't even move John 😳 I like the way John changes his levels right before folding him over. 57 years old still kicking ass and taking names. John is and will always be the Greatest of All Time. 💯💪💥🙌
@@timfrost08 I didn’t notice that until I read your reply. Sure did. You can even see the down ref say something. Looked like “break” or “arm break”. You can see chance look up and nod and give up.
Pounds confuses me still. I believe John is at 100 kg, and Chance is over 130 kg. That's 220 pounds for John and 300 for Chance. So Chance has 80 pounds or over 30 kg over John.
I remember watching John compete when he was a young man in the early 80's and its so incredible to see him take on (and beat) this whole new generation like Chance who are almost young enough to be his grandkids!! Mind blowing. What an absolute legend.
From 1985's over the top until here, where flashing who could be his grandson. The most glorious arm wrestling career humankind will witness. Greatest of all time. The eternal perfect storm, John Brzenk.
Just goes to show how great John really is. The man is now age 57, has long time shoulder injuries, wear and tear throughout the years, not as strong nor as fast as he used to be but still able to pull this off. The man is truly the goat & humble 👏🔥
Chance bit off more than he could chew. So impressed that the Goat took Chance out on short notice. Also impressed Chance did not wear some fruity shirt in the presence of greatness.
What makes me so amazed is that.. Brzenk doesnt even look like a freaky giant.. He looks like a very healthy middle aged man.. but JESUZ his power is of a freaky giant
Just realized at 6:17 John growled at a “Nooot happening todaaay” to Chance. It’s no “Where ya goin buddy??” But still made me laugh. The GOAT forever.
I never get nervous for an armwrestling match. I was nervous af for this one 😂 What can I say, I did not want to see John lose. But the GOAT delivered one more time!! #Legend #AgeIsJustANumber
@APOCRYPHAL MICROCOSM what do you mean overrated? do you have any experience armwrestling? do you understand the strength-gap in the sport and how it works?
Armshark u have the clearest video out there, big props. Chance crying at 5:40 "I CANT C MY KNUCKLE" cause he knew he was gonna lose the match. But john said and u r not going to c ur knuckle with my BIG thumb...❤🐐💪🤙
@Rob K. blablabla....nothing dumb here...and he is no kid with 23..soory man...he is tooo confident for his age and has to be placed where he belongs, not world elite...point..have a nice day and keep your agression under control.
I totally forgot when this match was going to take place and the moment I started seeing comments saying that John is still the GOAT I rushed here to confirm that he won... so happy for John.
It's aweome to see John still at it. Though the "still the GOAT" comments from people annoyed me a bit. Like if he lost to Chance, he wouldn't be the GOAT anymore. 😄
John gave him a little charity with the one win so he didn't completely destroy Shaw's confidence. Even when Shaw got the jump on the start it didn't matter with John's strength.
It’s all in his hand. Watch the interview with Devon and John explains he was exactly the same wether he lifted weights or not. His hand and wrist are what allows him to still compete at 57.
@@darrenhansom4873 Travis will always be Travis. Haha. But yeah. Dude got huge respect for John. I think most of top guns in arm wrestling world got huge amount of respect to John including Levan albeit the former seems to rarely give any good comment towards the latter.
If anything, his elbow floated a bit earlier in the match, but if so, it should have been called early at that time. I didn't see anything a WAL match would call.
@@tjp_real there was a foul actually, saw some photos from an other angle that a guy uploaded in a Facebook group called armwrestling discussion, there was a big foul but bart really did take lots of time to call it
When John raises back up from the table in the strap, you know you're in trouble. Absolute Beast of a Legend! And is this young pup really trying to critique John's thumb placement?? 🤡
Seemed like Chance was a one trick pony in this match. If he could'nt flash pin him, he had no other moves. Maybe John just didnt give him any options?
He tried to hook him one time which usually doesn't work with toprollers like Bagent, Shaw, Taras, Arsen. John has always tried to toproll against those type of toprollers, he tried to hook and Chance just flash pinned him.
@@anthonygeorges40 actually the opposite. A good toproller can usually bust a person's hand back without the strap because it the easier to attack the finger tips and it is easier to use a defensive toproll(c motion on the pad) to attack the bottom fingers of a hooker
