I wish there was a little more time at the end. Felt abrupt. Would have been nice to see Winston get his hotel back, some more flashbacks to John and his wife, more on the impact that his death had on the table and continental world

They should have kept the whole 4 hours and split it in chapter 4 and 5. I strongly believe there’s a few scenes in that extra hour that they cut off thay would explain a lot of things

The Harbinger probably was given a similar task as John Wick after removing his finger, then instead of backtracking, he followed through.

The most confusing thing is Caine being blind but still tasked to eliminate John. The plot armor is stronger than the assassin suits

At the end the dog literally makes the same whine he does at ever end. Leaving a clause that he’s probably not dead. Also general rule: if you don’t see them die, they’re not dead.

I believe in leaving while you're on top, and JW4 had a perfect ending to end a series. Other than the dog hinting the same way it did at the end of JW3, I don't see any other way you can assume he's still alive. What would be the plot of making a JW5? Just let a masterpiece stay one forever. I can only see sales rise when the box collection of all 4 movies comes available

Not sure if this was accidental or intentional, but there is an cultural implication between Koji and Caine. Chinese people (Caine) put family (and money) before everything, whereas Japanese people (Koji) would treat you as family if they see you as a member of the same pack, which is exactly how Koji fought for John and Caine fought against John.

There was a brotherly pact amongst John Wick, Koji and Caine before they each had their own families. Caine left by sacrificing his eye sight to become a blind man once he got a daughter. Koji stayed on even after he got a daughter with his Osaka Continental well established under the High Table. John Wick has vowed to take revenge after he was shot off the roof by Winston even The Elder in Chapter 3 accepted his gesture of loyalty to the High Table via his giving up his ring together with his ring finger. The Elder did not materialize his promise to let John go free, however. That's why John Wick went back to kill the replacement of The Elder after learning that The Elder making that promise has passed on. Though not absolutely necessary, but as John has always gone to take a refuge under his most trusted and more affluent alliance as he did turn to Winston for help from Chapter 1 to 3, the series conveniently continue this trend to show off choreographically nice fight scenes for the start of a comically assassin's story Chapter 3. The purpose undoubtedly is to provide impactful visual stunts to start off a killing spree stretched over 2 hours of movie entertainment. Though logically weak but still a possible way to connect back to the end of Chapter 3. With that said, if John finally does come back for a Chapter 5, a great assassin's story will turn cheap (regarding originality and comical nature of the story) for the series in order to rack in more monetarily. Sincerely wish Chapter 4 ends the story. Prequels and spin-offs, however, can still be pursued without spoiling the good name of John Wick's Chapter 1 to 4. ❤

i am counting how many times John Wick's life has been spared, which had 100% sure kill, from the first movie upto this chapter. if i missed something, please make a reply 😁 1. he should be dead right from the beginning if only Viggo's son's surprised attack had finished him to death together with his puppy (well there will be no movie if that happened, lol) 2. Viggo and his eldest son had the chance to kill him when they made him unconscious on the vehicle crash scene at church area. 3. Marcus saved him when he is ready to sleep as the lady assasin Perkins had definitely killed him who silently entered his room, or say if only Marcus had pulled and completed the contract to kill him 4. also when he was wrapped with plastic and about to be suffocated, Marcus helped him again; and only if they just fired at him right when he was babbling about his comeback, like how a real mafia should finished and taken the lives swiftly. 5. Charon helped him by using the rule of Continental when he is almost at disadvantage vs the ninja at the hotel entrance 6. the ninja duo dismissed the chance to kill him and rather they let john and helped him to stand up for 2nd round skirmish 7. Winston had the power to kill him but rather spared him and gave an hour to escape. 8. another lady assasin, the violinist at the subway should had killed him if only she target him at the head pointblank. 9. Winston also fires at his suit to forced him to fall from the hotel, that was intentional. he should have targetted the head. 10. and Bowery king/ tic tok guy immediately got him so that the adjudicator had no chance to make sure to kill him. 11. also the underground beggar helped him in the subway chase, john was almost half-dead and chilling. well, a coin from john vs a big bounty was a no brainer what to pick, but sure enough we can deduce that there was a code of conduct in the underground system unwritten rule more powerful than the bounty and the high table rules. 13. Mr.Nobody helped him against the Marquis henchman who had pointed the gun when John was down at the stairway scene. 14. only if Caine did not helped him to climb again the stairway, John would probably had surrendered his life, in virtue of his honor, when he can't make it up to their contract to meet by sunrise.

the post credit couldve been made a mid credit and the post credit couldve been like john living alone peacefully somewhere wth a dog and only winston and bowery king knowing the truth

1) Why flee to the Osaka Continental? Seems like nothing was achieved but to bring death to an old friend. 2) How can Winston know the duel is not a myth, but not know what happens to Seconds? 3) How can Caine read the playing cards at Killa's--the same way he can see Killa is a cheater? All I can assume is that since card sharps scuff or fold or otherwise mutilate their cards to recognize them before turning them over, Caine felt the marks and knew both his cards and that Killa was a cheat. 4) why smash up american muscle cars in Paris? couldn't find any Renault LeCars to add overfenders to look like an R5 turbo?

I rewatch chapter 3 before seeing chapter 4. Before I rewatched it, I thought Winston tried to really kill John. But after the rewatch, I do not think he was trying to kill him. I forget the line, but there was a line said that made it click for me that he was trying to dupe the high table.

I think in universe, John Wick is not dead but Winston arranged for him to be "dead" so that there's no way anyone from the high table would try to lure him back in. He probably wants to be left alone and live peacefully and for that he must have dropped the identity of John Wick and living somewhere as somebody else. Bowery may or may not be in it. He may come back in future when an absolutely necessary event takes place, probably death of Winston, Caine or perhaps Bowery.

In Mr. Nobody's DOPE book you can actually see where he's scratching off money on the other page is a home for $48.3 million, specifically at the beginning of the Osaka continental hotel scene, and that's why he is attempting to drive the price. Which probably could've been for his mother who knows but more details more details.

With the New York and Japan continentals being punished by the high table. And the Bowery king being anti high table. I see a civil war in the wick verse for John wick 5. Something that would actually take down the high table compared to a lone assassin. With the references to both Roman and Greek mythology, I foresee a character named the Cerberus coming after the renegade high table members. While random high table members are dying or have died off screen. John doesn’t come in until the second half of the movie, coming in to save Winston.

If they make a sequel I hope they will show how The High Table was created, a high class of assassin with rituals and polices with those whom are loyal to serve Death and Consequences, they all own each other something you do something for me I'll do something for you with an object that represents the deal, you must to remember that and cannot fail to pay, something like the 10 commands of the of The Table, but can an assassing organization get so rich to the point they have their currency, their own hotels continentals, a bidding market to kill a high class member like JW and collect the prize and so on... I would love to see that in a new sequel if it ever comes.

doesn't make sense the Elder who exists above the High Table that rules over criminal empires is left by himself

The entire subplot with the tracker and his dog made no sense, and added nothing to the story. It was like they felt like there had to be something about a dog, and they couldn't fit it into the story, so they just crammed another character hastily into the script so they had an excuse to have a dog.

I think my confusion is still with the Ruska Roma. So Pyotr was the head of the family, is The Director just an underboss or some other similar high ranking personnel?

Marquis characterization started like a lion and ended like a mouse. They designed his character carelessly

John was shot by his friend and not his enemy. It was something Winston kinda foreshadowed when he saw John before he shot him.

The very end was fair, when you think about, John was hit by car probably 5 times, jumped out of 3 stories building, felt on top of the car before lending badly on the ground, felt dowm rolling like a dice that Exorcist deadly stairs, got shot 3 times on the duel ceremony, although even after all that, I still thought they somehow would still make him comes back, now question is: was JW really gone?

(1) ABSOLUTELY no reason for Wick to go to Osaka Continental. Prove me wrong. (2) For someone being above the High Table, isn't it too convenient for Wick to find the Elders and killed them? All of a sudden Wick is in the desert chasing the Elders and their lackeys. Aren't they supposed to be impossible to find unless they finds you? (3) The Marquis felt weak and lame, supposingly they have the "High Table's power". (4) Chaser, or "Mr Nobody". Weak introduction to a new major character. Can't give a single f about this character. Felt like the producer is being shoved with money just to include this particular character in it. (5) Caine is cool, but poorly executed. He needed the 7-11 doorbells to detect enemy's position, but later on he doesn't seem to be needing them anymore with pinpoint accurate shooting? LMAO! Entire movie felt rushed.

With this narrative world fully established, it wouldn't take away much to have John Wick stay dead. With that Continental streaming series and the Ballerina movie there's a lot of "prequel" material to work out for profit.

Just saw the movie and it was entertaining. I predict the next couple of movies and series will be of the world. There will then come a movie at some point near the end of the film in which John Wick is older and actually alive. In the following film, you see John serving as the harbinger role. While viewers may ask how this happened, John is unwavered in his the ultimate goal of taking down the high table. The high table members, seeing John as the only legitimate threat to them, attempt to make peace by offering this title. Due to past experiences, he also realizes that this can only be accomplished from within. I thought the train station and the rave were clearly call backs to the Matrix. Neo just sitting there waiting for a train, and the rave when Morphious gives his speach. I think Mr Nobody is John''s son via Sophia. He doesnt happen to have an obsession with John, and he doesnt happen to have the same dog as Sophia. He wanted revenge on John for what ever happened between him and Sophia and wanted the most money he could get for that revenge. I think they are setting him up to take over the franchise after 5. Keanu is getting too old to do these action scenes the way they are filmed. They arent blurry, close in shots, they are wid angle continuous shots. Mr Nobody will continue the series to take down the high table. THey will have to do something about the dog though, it got old by the end of 3, let alone a whole nother sick balls.

Mr Nobody helped ruin the movie. He just shows up and takes away from the main characters that have already been established. This movie tried to fit in too much too fast. It was very underwhelming and John Wick deserved a better movie to finish the series.
