best "rivalry" in ufc history imo. They genuinely hated each other and put on two of the best fights of all time. I honestly believe their fight showed he highest level of fighting in any mma fight ever.
Facts. Together, they were the most dangerous pair of men to ever square off in the octagon, and the geniune hate between them made it so much more visceral.
He’s the GOAT when has he not outwrestled anyone he’s been up against only been taken down a few times in his entire career. He’s got credentials himself
@Wraith Gaming it’s not that deep. Dc was literally interrupting the guy who was hosting the interview. It was a funny move and there’s no point in listening to a guy who’s obviously about to shit talk you in the interview.
@Wraith Gaming you’re so dense. Dc interrupted the interviewer to talk shit to Jon. Jon walking away from someone who’s not only shit talking, but also interrupting the interview is nothing bad. That’s like calling you disrespectful for walking away from a drunk guy who’s trying to fight with you.
@Wraith Gamingat this point I’m convinced you’re a drunk yourself. Dc interrupted the interviewer to talk shit to Jon. That’s more than enough to walk away. I don’t like jones and don’t see him as a good person, but to say that this is not funny because it’s glorifying disrespect is stupid. Leaving an interview where the interviewer is being interrupted just for someone to talk trash about you isn’t rude.
I think the best part is at 21:10 when the fight ends and Jones is celebrating then realizes there’s still time left so he swings at DC LMAOOOOOOOOOO 🤣
@@drunkenmmamaster419 DC was disrespectful and all the hatred came from him. Jon was more reactive throughout. dc was jealous because John was already far more established and deserved a little respect. He was trying to tarnish his image beyond his errors, and that's just wrong. I think Jon is the better, bigger, and stronger of the two.
@@Kaodusanya me too but that's the game, baby. Sometimes you lose big irregardless how much you want to win. Jon bones is a killer but DC has great character. A lot of the time the good guys lose
That shit blew my mind as a kid cause he did it to the great Lyoto machida, another killer, and Jones looked like he killed Lyoto. Prime Jones is a absolute atg and a killer regardless of his absolute trash personality.
The hate and disrespect from DC probably came from losing a daughter to a drunk driver, and seeing Jones be as successful and loved as he was while preforming a hit and run on a pregnant woman. Both are absolute legends in the sport.
“I started watching my opponent so much, I started to subconsciously inherit their talent and their gifts” Why do I actually believe him when he says this
This rivalry made me a fan of the sport. But I don't want to relive it. It was all disappointment from Jon. A little from DC, but for less hectic reasons
Man the DC, Jon Jones rivalry was legendary, I will never forget the face off back in 2014 when they brawled off the stage and brought the fight promotion board down with them, their interviews were also crazy, giving each other threats, iconic rivalry 🙌
*'D.C who's your son's favorite fighter?* That was low key the most brutal and psychological shot I have seen because poor D.C had actually told someone that fact
Don't know what you mean by this comment. DC definitely mushed JJ in the throat before he swung. Dc likes to say its bc JJ touched him first but he has a history of getting physical at staredowns with fighters he doesn't like ala Pat Cummins
@@cole590 you said he had a history of it but you named one person Edit: I'm not trying to call you out or anything, im just saying that I've never seen DC be the first to touch anyone. I feel like I worded this in a Dickson type way
@@zenmartialartist701 it doesn't matter if it was one person or ten. If you've done it in the past and then do it again you have a history doing it. DC tends to get physical with ppl he doesn't like before fights. It's rare for DC to actually have real dislike and drama with the ppl he fights. Cummins and Jones being the only ones I can think of so that's why you've rarely seen DC put his hands on opponents before fights.
DC couldnt stand the fake persona Jon always had on because hes not used to beef and DC wears his heart on his sleeve while Jon has that stone cold Serial killer mindset
DC is just as fake as Jon, he has this fake nice guy persona when in reality he’s a crybaby and has an inflated ego for no good reason. Jones is no better but at least he stopped faking it, DC never did
@@BobbyAuld how do u know tho? Have u met both fighters n real life ? Do u know both fighters in real life ? No u don’t. What u see on tv isn’t the truth. An will never know.
@@hunterxhunter54 look at some of the interviews he had with stipe during their 3 fights. He constantly was saying how stipe was not on his level and that he had no chance against him even tho stipe didn’t talk shit once. Then he said how he didn’t like stipe as a person and then backtracked on this statement after stipe beat him the second time. After the third fight when stipe beat him again, he cried about stipe eye poking him and that’s why he lost, even though he constantly eye poked stipe throughout their fights. He cries about his opponents yet he will do the same things
@@lupomena this was the last era everyone was roided up, the best doctors in the world are paid to beat the tests created by the second best doctors (compare it to computer anti virus software).. to think they're all not on something is crazy, escpecially when amateur athletes take the same shit and don't have money on the line. If people who ride bikes for a living are doing it, so are UFC fighters.
@@lw4791 no. Unless someone pops, it’s innocent until proven guilty ( as is should be for any drug or crime) one can not just call everyone a cheat just cuz. So no he’s a cheating scumbag who won numerous fights only because he was too much of a coward to fight clean
Jon Jones is an amazing fighter. Even now all these years later I wish Daniel Cormier would've at least won one of their fights. Their second fight while Joe Rogan is asking Daniel if the rivalry was still there? Daniel with tears in his eyes basically says there's NO rivalry since the past two fights he's lost. It was absolutely heartbreaking watching Daniel literally break down.
@@_FH_-pj3ef That shit don't make you a better fighter plus amatuer wrestling is filled with Roid use so dc aint feel nothing new besides better techniques
@@xares2851 True, but his voice Is soft, calm, and smooth but In a menacing and somewhat sociopathic way which works to make It seem like he Isn't phased by what anybody has to say even threats that Include his personal life, while being able to psychologically breakdown his opponents strengths, weaknesses, and personal tendencies Inside and outside of the ring so he can get Into their head as efficiently as possible, without even raising his voice.
