The only time where you'd ever be referred to that is in conversations on gender. And in that case, everyone's being called that. Also, if you are ever in a situation where someone calls you cis and it genuinely hurts you, just tell them you don't like that label. @Drinks Home well, I don't agree with that. A much better and useful solution is to let your kid go to school, but monitor and just be aware of the climate and teachings. A kid needs school for other reasons than just learning, like socialising and showing their talents, having fun etc.

@Drinks Home weird..I'm a HS student, though in a different country in UK and there's no one who is advocating for any extreme policies or teachings, most teachers encourage free thinking, opinion etc. I think you're being too unreasonable, perhaps paranoid lol. One thing I will say is we had the school deputy head talk about hate speech in assembly. He stressed about the use of the word "gay" used in derogatory senses, mostly LGBTQ issues. We also have an LGBTQ flag raised at the entrance of the school. It was funny because most people were either thinking it's kinda serious or thinking nothing of it. I think it was good overall because what the teacher was trying to do was "prepare school leavers for the real world" in some sense. So, don't say derogatory things that are going to get you in trouble or alienate you from other people.

Well that is a highly unusual guy for US media then. I will take your recommendation and look up some of his debates. It is a major problem with US media today and hence it's politics that a huge percentage of interviewers are biased and only want to hear themselves talk about their own views. How the US gets out of this situation I don't know but it is hugely damaging to your politics and your society.
