1:36 That's bit creepy. And you know what? It's the weirdest thing how real this boys feel. You gotta love then for being so realistic flawed, like most people are at 14 years old.
I don't really count this as spying tbh. He needed something to focus on so he could drown out the noise and not be in constant pain. He didn't know that doing that would make him hone in on her, and he didn't really know how to turn it off without being in pain again. Granted, I think his reaction was way too much, but that also could've been because of his social anxiety disorder that I feel like a lot of people forget about. Some of the symptoms are having over reactions to things and having tantrums because of it. And if that's how the writers we're thinking when writing it, they did very good sticking to the mental illness of the character. I just wish more people would remember that what seems small and stupid to them, Jordan processes it as a big thing and that's not his fault.
Yeah, Jordan shouldn’t have eavesdropped, and he deserved to be chewed out for it. But what Jonathan did at the end, punching the stairs next to Jordan’s ears? That was the equivalent of punching someone’s leg when it’s broken. Both boys are flawed. Jonathan has always been the golden boy. He’s spent his entire life protecting his weaker brother, and suddenly the dynamic has flipped. Jordan is introverted and awkward, and envies his brother deeply. He’s lived his life feeling like he was second best to his athlete brother, and for the first time, he’s experiencing real power. He has no idea how to wield it, because he’s spent his entire life believing he was inferior. In short, give the kid a break. He’s young and dumb, and he’s going to make mistakes. As long as he learns from those mistakes, he’ll be ok.
He’s a bitch, he doesn’t need a break, Jonathan stands up for him every time, he saved his brother knowing he probably didn’t have powers, Jordan gets mad because the girl he likes gets treated normally by Jonathan
@@user-vs1hr6qk1y Now you're being unfair to Jonathan. Jonathan's talent for football doesn't define him. There are other things he is demonstrably good at: calming his brother = counseling, mediation, clear thinking. Leadership. He has a talent for football and he loves it, but it's not all he is by a long shot. And I'm still for forgiving Jordan. Jordan broke Jonathan's hand being recklessly, blindly stupid, not intentionally malicious. While it is tragic that Jon may not be able to play again, it was an accident. And it's also important to recognize that Jordan didn't kill Jonathan's future in football. He killed a POTENTIAL future. Jonathan might have gone on to become an NFL champion... Or he might have blew out his knee in a year, ending his sports career. Or, seeing as Jonathan is currently human-dominant, who's to say he would have made a professional team in the first place? There are plenty of great players out there. Again, not saying Jordan gets a pass for what he did. But let's keep things in perspective.
@@jennifersaar1611 whilst i agree that Jonathan does have other things going for him look at the actual episode where jordan tries out he uses his powers on purpose to upstage Jonathan consciously or not he still did it then then didnt notice how Jonathan being isolated from the team before he tried out was his fault Jordan kissed sarah and Jonathan got the punishment alongside getting his ass kicked when Jordan actually did Jordan seems childish and not willing to take blame or recognise when he is in the wrong
@@user-vs1hr6qk1y well i like to keep a conscious mind that the actors playing these boys are actually a few years apart in real life age so it probably reflects in their acting of the character and the cw is probably writing these boys around the actors more then someone like Tyler who has to stay strict to superman and Clark
Jordan: DAD YOU'RE USING YOUR SUPER HEARING TO HELP ME WHEN I'M ABOUT TO TURN A KID'S HEAD INTO A READ MIST 😡😡😡 also Jordan: spies on his frickin brother just for having a convo with his friend after defending him to her
He wasn’t trying to eavesdrop on Jonathan he didn’t even know he was there. He was trying to focus on Sara’s voice and he happen to be there. The difference is Clark listened in on purpose and Jordan did it by accident.
@@gilbertmillers4865 no he’s not, he was focusing on Sara’s voice it’s not his fault he didn’t know Jon was there. Ya he should’ve stopped listening but he didn’t do it intentionally like Clark did.
@@cameronross9391 But then he chose to continue focusing on said conversation? He also chose to listen on Sarah’s voice? Pretty much spying on her in her time of privacy? Whether he was trying to control his power or not…..He did choose to try and control it by focusing it towards listening to someone without knowledge of. Jordan is a hypocrite because Clark did it so he could protect Johnathan and Jordan when he was available too, the last thing he’d need is for Jordan to accidentally kill someone so there he is looking out for his son while he learns to control his developing powers.
I wouldn't have called it spying. I would call it more trying to control an ability. It's just unfortunate that he did it when Jonathan was talking to her.
Honestly I don't like jordan seems the first episode he got power got attention from his father all the time but it's not enough jealous even his own brother who's doesn't got anything jonathan has to leave his girlfriend behind because of him
Back in metropolis Jonathan had everything and Jordan was just the outcast who had anger issues and was introverted. But they didn’t stay in smallville bc of Jordan they stayed bc Clark thought it would bring his family together. Now that things are looking up for Jordan and Jonathan isn’t the popular one it’s Jordan’s fault? I think the move was good for both of them. It brought Clark and Jordan closer together and it’s showing Jonathan in another light.
@@gilbertmillers4865 tal rho isn’t from the comics either that’s no reason to hate a character. Just bc Jordan’s an original character and Jonathan didn’t get the powers doesn’t mean Jordan’s an automatic bad character.
@@cameronross9391 no him taking away the only thing jonathan is good at then breaking his arm spying on him and forcing him to hate himself for not having powers means he doesnt deserve to be liked
@@user-vs1hr6qk1y Jordan didn’t take away the only good think Jonathan was good at. They didn’t move to smallville bc of Jordan. And Jordan isn’t a quarterback so he didn’t take his position either. And Jonathan is t jealous about not having powers ether, he’s never once said he wish he had them. And he wasn’t spying on Jon he was trying to focus on Sarah’s voice and he happen to be there. Also he didn’t intentionally break Jon’s wrist, Jon tried to block it so that was his fault. All of ur points are weak and ur just a hater to hate.
@@superrenai9338 Jonathans POV is skewed because he doesn't understand the reason how Jordan could focus his hearing Jordan basically now understands the position his dad was in when he'd listen to people he cared about, Jonathan should understand the reason behind Jordan listening rather than what he heard
smallville Clark had it easier, he didn't have an adopted brother or a biological brother. Knowing Clark luck his brother could have been just ass evil as his uncle Zor-el.
@@smk3390 but that doesn’t mean you get to be a dick to your brother when you know he wouldn’t do shit like hitting on the girl you have a crush after everything he sacrificed for you. Like, that’s just using your brain.
Does literally no one realize that he didn’t mean to spy on his brother, he was trying to focus on one sound to control his superheating, so he focused on the girl he likes, and his brother happened to be talking to her. Like yeah, listening in on their conversation was not good, but he never meant to just spy on his brother. Edit: another point, everyone is saying Jon is better than Jordan, but when he was yelling at Jordan at the end, he clearly saw that his brothers hearing was hurting him again, and he purposely slammed his hand against the wall right next to Jordan’s head to cause him more pain. He can be mad, but a good person wouldn’t intentionally cause their brother unnecessary pain.
@@terryprice1691 Like even if he had flirted with her a little, he literally stopped you from committing a murder and ruining your life while also maiming himself in the process, preventing him from participating in an activity that was a large part of his identity. He can flirt with whomever he wants.
