Here's a great interview with Journey in 1986. Steve Perry, Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain were guests on "Live At Five", A NYC NBC Station. The interview is hosted by Sue Simmons. Journey defends their decision to not make any Music Videos for the "Raised On Radio" album. It's from 1986, while Journey was a three-man band. It's worth a view.

Yeah. NY Channel 4 News had a show Live at 5 (apparently from 1979 to 2007) and Sue Simmons cohosted it along with others like Jack Cafferty back in the day. It aired before the 6pm news and often featured cool interviews like this. Thanks for sharing.

Nice posts!! I haven't seen this or the GMA interview in YEARS!! My copies are stuck on a VHS tape in the basement right now.......very cool to see again!!

@@wheelinthesky4208 As I recall my versions are about the same as yours quality-wise. If I ever get my VCR hooked up again I'll have to revisit those tapes. Some of that stuff I probably haven't seen since the late 90's!

While Journey and Steve Perry have many amazing songs, Wheel in the Sky is one song that gave me some insight into how difficult touring and being successful can be in a person. Thank you, Steve, for being true to yourself and doing what you needed to do to take care of you. You are a blessing to so many people. My heart goes out to you now and always.

Why isn't there any concerts from the 1986 tour.?

That's a great question! My guess is that this tour wasn't as popular as the 1981-1984 tours and there really wasn't as much of a demand for the concert. I know that I wasn't as interested as I should have been and I never saw this tour.
