My personal channel contains my older Journey videoblogs which can be found in the playlist on this channel. The Wheel In The Sky blog can be found at ronsouth.blogspot.com.
A lot of the reviews of the book on Amazon are rather negative: anti Steve Perry, postulating on his sexuality, racial influences and meanings in their songs. I may have to skip this one.
I had no idea as I haven't yet read it. I'm still excited for the book and will definitely have opinions about it. Look for a updated review in a few months.
Hi Jon, question off topic. Do you know where I can listen to the full version of Steve singing "Unchained Melody". It's beyond beautiful the small clip I can find here on YT.
Steve Perry did not have a hip injury. What he faced was a disease, but his band mates wanted him to hurry up and get a Surgery whether it was correct surgery or not they did not care. They just wanted to get on the road for that tour How the band members, Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon treated Steve Perry was ridiculous. Neither one of them would’ve had the fame that they had if it had not been for Steve Perry. I know that Steve has not talked a lot about this because he’s just that class of a person. I think Journey was a band before Steve Perry, but after Steve Perry came into the band is when fame happened, and Neil Sean was money hungry when Jonathan Cain came into the band He also got money hungry no don’t get me wrong Jonathan Cain and Steve Perry were very talented, duo, writing, and composing all Schon did was his guitar solos no I’m not putting all the blame on Jonathan or Neil because I believe Steve caused some and I know that he apologized to Steve Smith. And Ross Valory.
Raised on radio was a Steve Perry solo album nothing more nothing less way too popi!!! That's what happened when they let Steve Perry take over he ruined the band.
I know they were joking and they were taken down this conversation hole by the interviewer, and I've never heard them talk like that in other interview since so maybe they learned their lesson. Seriously by now Steve was in a serious relationship and Greg's soon-to-be wife was traveling with them. They were a little old to be making those kind of jokes
Interesting about the unrest in our country at that time. As we know there was unrest before that time and ever since that time, no matter who had the reins. But to be able to go to a concert and have something that special to look forward to and to have Journey and somebody like Steve Perry singing people and places directly to you... I guess I just can't express how much we need that now from somebody but just like with Steve Perry that's an awful lot of responsibility to put on one man's shoulders
Herbie was like a black hole in that interview...I'd rather read his interviews in print. And Herbie is actually a great interview. Kind of ironic that Jelly Roll Sweetie conversation there considering they supposedly tossed Aynsley Dunbar (at least partially) for boinking the underage girls on the road.
Can you just order from Amazon USA? I can and have ordered from the Canadian Amazon plenty of times. At the bottom of your page after you log in to Amazon.com you'll find a way to order from Amazon all over the World.
@@wheelinthesky4208 yeah but they Said they dont delivered un my region i thought maybe another place or library but tu thanks anyway i will see this week with a library downtown Sherbrooke
He probably didn't notice that he missed saying the title of the Book. The Video is the name of the Book, "Journey: World's Apart". I'm sure he'll make sure he says the title of things from now on.
This was a weird broadcast. First I heard they were going to be on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Then it got switched to another late night show. Then it suddenly happened on Tom Snyder. I can't play the songs on my channel as they get hit with copyright strikes.
Thanks Patricia. There were two other people who said they wanted to buy the book due to this upload. I lost those comments when I had to rey-load this video.
I’m absolutely shocked at how sick these guys are!! I’ve loved Journey / Steve Perry music for years and years. Knowing they are basically a bunch of pedophiles now and even going as far as laughing at the thought of having a four-year-old for a sex toy!?!? They are all SICK, the interviewer included. I’ve lost all respect and or interest in their music! I wonder how much they had to pay to try and keep this interview buried? I’ve never since this until today.
At that point Steve was in a relationship, and Greg's soon-to-be wife was traveling with them, so I think the conversation went South because the interviewer encouraged it to go south
I really love Jonathan Cain, more so now that I know more about him. I'm reading his book and realizing he's just a good writer all the way around. I think of him as a peacemaker at least early on and his talent with music is unmatched
I regret watching this video. I love this song but now I freaking hate it. I didn’t realize these men were pedophiles. The people excusing these grown men having sex with children is disgusting. Definitely shows me who you are behind closed doors.
Because Journey was a live band first and foremost. Those dudes knew that they looked like fools for doing those three videos for the Frontiers album: Chain Reaction, After The Fall, and Separate Ways.
Hmm, "Innerview" is almost a RU-vid concept, or vice versa, with the "view" being our own view that we publish to the world with our own content, or "view".
Insightful re: politics, their viewpoints and how they used their platform to "wake people up" and become aware. Some say life recycles - here we are again
Love this! It took me back to the best decade of my life. Steve Perry is a legend with the voice of a God. Truly gifted and that is why he was and will always be called the voice. Thank you for sharing.
