To all of you who have something negative to say: I posted this video hoping people that like Journey with or without Arnel to enjoy. My first concert ever was Journey back in 1986 the Raised on Radio tour with Steve Perry. For many years I refused to see Journey again because Steve Perry left the band. After seeing multiple videos and talking to others who have seen Arnel perform I decided to give it a shot and really enjoyed it. No, he's not Steve Perry nor is he trying to be, but I have to say he was very good. If you don't have anything nice to say, move along to another video.
Thanks so much...I am a journey band fan and love their songs whoever the vocalist is... fortunately Arnel from our country Philippines hired to be the Frontman since 2008 i love more ❤All members now are Great musicians. Mabuhay.
Every time i see arnel come out and try to sing STEVE PERRYS songs i cant help it he just doesn't cut it for me.IVE SEEN THE BEST ARNEL JUST ISNT ,I RATHER SEE DEAN
These comments about Arnel vs Steve are ridiculous. When you compare the two are you comparing Steve from the 80's vs Arnel from today? Regardless, comparing them is unfair to both. Steve is never going to sound like he did on the records today. Which is why he refuses to perform concerts. Arnel is never going to sound as strong as he sounded when he first joined Journey. Add all these years later and of course his voice will be weaker, It happens to 99% of lead singers who have long careers. What Journey fans should focus on is Jonathan Cain-He is scamming the fans by pretending to play guitar, pretending to sing background vocals and pretending to play piano/keyboards. It is a well known "secret" in the industry that Cain is not playing or singing live.
If Steve Perry came back today he would likely sound less like his old self than Arnel does. The comparisons are understandable but unfair. I saw Journey last year and it was a great show.
Saw them a fews weeks back in birmingham......overall a good show but singing at that level is really taking a toll on arnels voice. Dean casternova sounded great and the other guy who sang did great.
His voice is incredible. You all need to lighten up. Yes Steve Perry is the best but this guy is just as good and does Steve and the band justice. That’s why the picked him!!!!!!
Neither can Steve these days. Go ahead and enjoy his vocals from the 80's but don't pretend that Steve can sing those songs today or 10 years ago or 20 years ago.
It's funny or ridiculus to see peoples leaving their seats to get a beer or other shits during a performance when tickets are more than 100$.last show i went it was in 1987-1986 in a tent in the old port of Montreal for Invil and 2 goods others bands with 2 tickets for 2 beers for 5$
after toto band performance they prepare for Journey stage so some other they prefer to buy some drinks while waiting.. and it happen that the show is already start..
Freddie Mercury died...should we never hear Queen again? Adam Lambert is great in his own right. Lynyrd Skynyrd almost all died 50 years ago and they are still touring. Steve Perry is out. Amel Pineda is great. Get over it already.
that was SP era ,now fans dont mind anymore If Arnel will perform because they understand that SP is cannot sustain his voice petforming on stage night after night
Glad you like the video. Here's to why the arena is named what it is. Total Mortgage Arena (formerly The Arena at Harbor Yard and Webster Bank Arena) is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena in downtown Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States. It is the home venue of the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League (AHL) and PWHL New York of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Managed by the Oak View Group,[5] the arena was built alongside the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater and opened on October 10, 2001. Webster Bank entered into a 10-year $3.5 million agreement on January 6, 2011, with the City of Bridgeport for the arena naming rights.[6] When this agreement ended, the City entered into a new one on March 8, 2022, that granted the naming rights to Total Mortgage of Milford, Connecticut.[7]
Its kind of strange - Steve Perry you can feel, the same with Steve Augeri, but how much I try to be warm with Arnel - he sings good and makes a good performance- but I can't feel him its only his voice I can hear, maybe its different if you can see him live?
