Thank you so much for liking it! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ Yeah, the tones it gets are very cool, especially in a tube power amp! That's where we like it the most. Also, please subscribe for many more rocking tones to come!
Thank you so much! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ We recorded everything with the unit stock, without any updates. So it's definitely not mandatory to do the updates, the unit is great just as it comes from the factory. We're not even sure what the 1.2.0 version is supposed to improve, so only do the update if you are curios to see what they added. Hope this helps! dʕ◉ᴥ◠ʔʕ◠ᴥ◉ʔb
I was wondering if this will successfully marry up to my Line 6 Powercab 1 x 12". Helix and Kemper's are way out of my budget. Even the Iridium. I tried my Boss ME70 into the Powercab and could not get any appreciable volume. I'm guessing it's because there is no direct out like the Preamp House has.
Yes, Preamp House should work very well with your Powercab! The ME70 has its L/R outputs labeled as "guitar amp outputs", likely meaning they're not quite line level and need a preamp to bring them there. But you could try the recording / headphone out, that may be a better output for going into the powercab. Worth a look if you haven't tried that already. Let us know if you have more questions, we'll be right here to help. And thank you so much for watching! \ʕ◉ᴥ◠ʔʕ◠ᴥ◉ʔ/
I love the style of your videos, now you have a new subscriber! I do have this pedal, any tips on using it in a real band situation? and can you use a fuzz pedal in front of it? Greetings from Mexico City!
We are honored to hear this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! °˖✧◝ʕ⁀▽⁀ʔʕ⁀▽⁀ʔ◜✧˖° Yes, the Preamp House can take pedals in front of it without a problem. In a band situation, it depends on many things: instruments in band, desired sound, recording vs live (and the type of venue), and of course the gear to support all this. We like fuzz both into clean and high gain amps, stacked fuzz and tube amp drive rules! If you like fuzz into slightly overdriven amps and use picking dynamics to clean up the sound, use #6 (the EVH model) on channel A: it can easily overdrive with heavy attack and clean up perfectly when you pick lighter, no volume knob needed. But if you plan on using other effects too, you might want to try a perfectly clean amp for your A side, and something heavier on the B side. In this case, we'd recommend #5 Mesa for clean A and #1 Fender for high gain B: they have good mids and dynamics, just what you need in a band to be able to be heard when hitting hard, and fade a bit when playing soft. Also, their mids should work well with all types of fuzzes. You won't be left wanting even when using a Muff-style without a mid control/boost. Experiment and pick what suits you best: we recommend starting with #5 channel A and #1 channel B and going from there! By the way, this is all based on using the Preamp House direct into PA / stage monitors, without a tube amp after it! If you plug your Preamp House into a tube amp, which we like A LOT, we'd recommend other settings as the process is completely different. Let us know how it works out, and whether you have any other questions. And thank you again for your support! \ʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔ/
@@PairofPandas I already tried the settings that you have suggested and they are incredible! I never thought to listen to a fuzz in a digital preamp in such a magnificent way, my chain is: Voodoo Labs sparkle drive to Space patrol fuzz (a Muff Style DIY Project) to Joyo Preamp house, simply phenomenal, now, what settings do you recommend in my tube amp? I have 3, a Fender vibrochamp, an Orange Tiny terror and a Joyo Bantamp Jackman I really appreciate your help, it's great that you share the way the gear works and your playing is inspiring!
@@IcaroNight It depends on your cab, and volume levels. If you want to use the Preamp House more as a preamp and less as a boost, you might have to plan your volume carefully with everyone else in the band, especially your drummer as it's a bit trickier for him than just turning down a volume knob. But for recording you should be golden either way. For the TT: We assume you have the head version of the TT so that's going through a cab. If it's a closed back, you should have pretty good low end going there, albeit a bit less than the OR15 which we have here. TT and OR15 power section are similar in design but the OR15 has a more powerful output transformer, hence more low frequency response. But you should be good. Our OR15 settings will work very well for you too: tone (in our case 3 band EQ) at noon, master at full and preamp to taste: it depends on how much volume you need, 9 on the dial should be plenty loud for recording and still quite clean. Then just use the EQ on your Joyo Preamp house like we did in the video and you're good to go! For the Jackman: should have substantially less volume than the TT and even the Vibrochamp, but at 20w with an efficient speaker (think V30's, 100dB sensitivity), you can still be quite loud and clean. Haven't tried the Jackman to say how it distorts when pushed loud. We'd say set it neutral and use the EQ on the Preamp House as it's a 3 band instead of just the tone knob. Should be good. For the Vibrochamp: if you can get a closed back cabinet with an efficient speaker for it, you'll have pretty nice volume and low end for your Preamp House. If not, it's still great, just don't expect anywhere near the same bass response as with your TT. It will have an awesome sound all of it's own. Also, if used without an extension cab, the Vibrochamp should be very nice used with the Preamp House as a boost and EQ: channel A will be best here to get a clean (lightly driven in the case of #6) boost with a nice 3 band EQ. And you can use channel B for gain stacking, just don't go over the top with the gain on the Preamp House, otherwise it may sound too compressed. But that can be fun too, haha! That's what we'd try with these 3 amps, an extra cab and Joyo Preamp House! Hope this helps, and thank you so much for being here with us!! ❀ʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔʕ。◠㉨◠。ʔ❀
@@PairofPandas I finally have a day off to try what you have told me, and I must say that thanks to you, my TT has a new life, I have hardly used it because I have always felt that its natural sound is very dull and lifeless, it lacks brightness and not much gain at all, now i used the Preamp house as a boost and eq shaper and it's a world of difference, with a muff in front of the Preamp house now it's a doom machine, i really appreciate the help you guys have given me, and please don't stop making such great videos!
@@IcaroNight These pandas are the happiest to hear that they helped and shall sleep well tonight!! We deeply appreciate your support, and shall do our best to impress in the future too. Thank you again!! ♬◝ʕ⁀▽⁀ʔʕ⁀▽⁀ʔ◜♬
Hello! ฅʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔʕ≧ᴥ≦ʔฅ Great to have you here! And please subscribe to our channel for the best panda gear & info! This is a wonderful digital pedal replicating 10 (ten!) different tube amp preamps! It can be plugged directly into a mixer, interface, power amp or powered speaker to play directly with it alone. Or you can do as we did in the first part of the video and plug into your tube amp, as you would any distortion pedal. It can do MANY things very well. What would you like to know about this pedal? Let us know if you have any questions, and we'll help!
Definitely! Its distortion works great with 5 string bass: dynamic tones with an effective EQ. You can get subtle clipping, or you can get massive low B onslaught too. Check one out if you can! And please subscribe to our happy panda channel for even more bass action! ❀ʕ 。•㉨•ʔ人ʕ•㉨•。 ʔ❀ Thank you!
