Thank you for bringing the truth of this matter to the unfortunate often gullible masses. I myself with 30 years of martial arts experience had one martial artist demonstrate a take down technique on me easily without me resisting at all. He later took that demonstration and changed it to "I took him down". Talk about an ego trip, similar to Gene and many other ego driven practitioners. Much love.

Except Lee himself...since he died from being a cocaine addict. He boasted that he didn't like drinking alcohol ( though in his last year or two he did sometimes ) and preferred drinking tea....yet was smoking hash, smoking weed, snorting cocaine and taking steroids. Talk about being a walking contradiction. ie: Party host: Would you like a glass of beer or wine Bruce? Lee: No THANKS. I don't touch the stuff. Lee: 5 minutes later goes into the bathroom and snorts two lines of blow. SMH. Lee, in my opinion, read a lot and was a bit, " bright " but not a wise person at all. Cheated on his wife multiple times, did hard drugs, had temper tantrums, was self absorbed, took steroids and on and on and on.

@@anti1training A lot of stuff is not going to be printed online, in 2024. We know, in 2024, that Bruce Lee was a visual phenomenon when it came to realistic fight scenes on film. If you believe that anybody who was a TV and movie star (never even mind in the 1960s and 1970s) did not do cocaine, then you just don't have any common sense street cred. I remember hearing about Bruce Lee cheating on his wife when I was a kid, in the 1980s. There was no internet then, there was just the living memory of the people who saw news headlines while they stood in line at the grocery store, or read magazine articles because they were fans of the living legend a decade earlier, and so on. I know that Bruce Lee was into using fitness shortcuts including using the original medical TENS units, at high throughput, because 10 minutes of electrical stimulation to the pectorals was equivalent to several hundred push-ups. It makes sense that he would have used steroids too. Anabolic steroids weren't even considered cheating, in sports training, until the 1980s and weren't made illegal until 1990.

Joe should watch more One Championship where many of these style vs style matches still happen. Highly decorated BJJ athlete fought the champion in their weight class, Xiong Jing Nan. Xiong basically just boxes in all of her fights. She punched and dodged all over the ring for 5 rounds. The BJJ woman never posed a threat, and she was supposed to have been the most decorated female BJJ athlete in the world. I have no doubt that this woman could have beaten Xiong on the ground, but she was incapable of getting her there.

Joe was, and possibly still is, a fellow Satanists. He typically does and says, what the Elite tell him to do / say. You dont get to be on TV, and make it big, unless you have "Made the Deal" with the Cultists. The Elite dont want the Lemmings to have high level combat skills.. which is why they pushed hard, to make people thing Grapplers are the best thing since Sliced Bread. The Gracies Cherry Picked clueless / inept fighters, and easily exploited them, using simple feint tactics. They purposefully labeled these fighters, as "Masters". Anyone with a year or so in the arts, could EASILY see that NONE of them were even close to being a Master of anything. The Gracies also took the original art of Jujitsu, and removed its striking, on purpose. The Gracies have ties to the Mass Media.. and were behind the creation of the UFC... where they used the same tactics: Invite some clueless fighters, that can easily be exploited. Slant the game further... by making it favor grappling methods. Eventually ban like 40 different martial arts techniques... make the flooring rubberized.. and install shock absorbers on the actual Octagon ring. All sorts of trickery and deceptive practices. Unfortunately, the Lemmings ate that crap up... and Parrot it back out like the Gospel. Joe has mellowed out a bit over the years. He used to not be able to spit out a single sentence out, without at least 10 curse words in it... even when he was supposedly taking about "Enlightenment". His ideas about Meditation, were completely wrong / inverted too. You dont just allow your mind to wander. You need to keep the mind busy doing a specific task... in order to eventually TAME the subconscious mind. I know, because I did 3 years of daily, 1 hour long, silent meditation sessions. I developed the "Quiet Mind" state, in only about 3 months time. Joe used to trash Traditional arts like TKD... Despite him having kicks that are FAR superior to ALL of the UFC fighters... because of his former TKD training. TKD has certain issues.. but, it also has some superior training methods, that are not found in the MMA schools, nor the UFC training programs (and it clearly shows). As for Gene telling the poo story... I vividly recall seeing him telling it. And as for the mention of the Mafia stuff... that clearly would have been a "Phrase", not something Literal. You dont poo your pants out of fear, unless maybe you are like 2 yrs old... or if you already are having a severe diarrhea episode.

Grapplers always think they are Invincible. I once attended an Open House sparring event at a Jujitsu school. Their students were being extremely disrespectful, and as Id later find out... intentionally harming others (breaking the arm of a TKD fighter). When one of their best Blackbelt fighters chose me to spar against... he started to make funny faces at me, while making some groaning noises. I dont stand for Disrespect, and whenever it occurs, I used KO level forces... to teach these dudes a lesson. He tried the classic high to low feint.. and rushed in. He was met by my mostly extended LEAD guard hands, Vertical fist to his Forehead. Less than 6 inches of travel, and I only used about 15% of the power that I was capable of delivering. Dropped him like a stone. I then proceeded to KO two of their other Blackbelt fighters, one after the other... the same exact way. These guys were excellent Grapplers, and have won many tournaments, all over the USA. However, that didnt prevent me from easily Knocking them out Cold. And that was me being Extremely NICE, allowing them past my Oblique Kicks, without Destroying their Knees. This wasnt the only exchange Ive had with Grapplers, either. I once sparred in a school that taught both Aikido and Kyokushin Karate. The Aikido dude was about 2x my mass.. and tried relentlessly to get a grasp of me... but I easily broke out of every attempt.. and kept Pummeling him, for the entire round. One time a dude that knew some grappling, as well as Muay Thai... grabbed both of my arms, and started to swing me around in a circle, while laughing. Obviously the dude was much larger and stronger. Again, I take this as a sign of disrespect... as he was doing it for laughs at my expense.. trying to impress the room of other fighters. I allowed my legs to drag a little, then quickly shot my body ahead of his... able to plant my legs firmly, and suddenly did an Arial Spin kick, that just barely missed his head... as he quickly let go of me. Dude got all bent out of shape, telling me to "Take it easy", when I nearly knocked him into the next week. Grappling has its uses... but its mostly for getting a drunken uncle under control, without harming them. Its not especially effective, in actual combat... especially when going up against a Masterclass level striker. The Gracies got their Fame, from Cherry Picking + Exploiting Clueless / Inept fighters. They refused to fight against anyone, that was actually capable of Destroying them. Gene would not have even gotten within an Arms range... before Lee unleased a brutal leg breaking kick, followed up by Lethal level handstrikes. Gene was way too slow.. and Lee was much faster, and far more sensitive + experienced. Like most grapplers, and large sized fight... someone like Gene is used to just Tanking some hits, in order to be able to get a grip on someone. Hes not used to getting KO or Lethal level strikes, on the way in. One of the fighters that lived near me... we used to spar frequently. He was also much larger and stronger than me. Which wasnt surprising, since while I was 6ft tall, I only weighted about 150 lbs max. You could have fit 2 or 3 of my own limbs, into each of his limbs. When we sparred, I never wanted to harm him... so I refrained from using KO level punches, nor did I ever use my Oblique Kick with any power. I merely used it like a "Stop Kick" to temporarily halt his advance. Basically, Id use him for Target Practice. He would eat my mild punches, and kicks, then using his greater mass and strength, would drive me to the ground, to try to grapple with me. I tried at one point, to tell him that he never would have been able to do what he was doing.. if I wasnt holding my techs back... to which he laughed loudly. I really didnt care much, because I knew the real truth.. that I was actually winning in each and every Exchange. I was getting my practice in on him... and I didnt care about looking bad in the process... However.. One time after we sparred, he said that I, and Wing Chun, are "SH*T"... as he walked away. My blood started to Boil, and I demanded he return to the mat... but he kept walking. It was at that point, when I decided to give him a Tiny Taste of what I was actually capable of delivering. The next time we got together, our mutual friend says "Fight". He takes a single step towards me, starting to throw a Cross. However, as his lead legs foot planted firmly on the ground.. its Kneecap was met by MY LEAD legs Oblique Kick. I used less than 20% on that kick... but even that was too much. He dropped instantly, like a bag of stones. He was SCREAMING at the top of his lungs, and crying a River of tears. This went on for a good solid 5 minutes, before two other dudes helped him hop on one leg, back to his car. He would later tell me, that when he got back home, his knee swelled up like a Melon, and he needed to down like half a bottle of pain killers that night, to try to dull the pain. He said he had to crawl up his stairs for quite some time... and that it took a Month for the injury to fully Heal. Again, that was less than 20% of what I was capable of Delivering. Mind you... he was probably as big and strong as Gene. He showed me a room full of 1st and 2nd place trophies, from his full contact competition events, from all over the states. Hes also not the kind of man that Cries. From that moment onwards, he was extremely cautious about getting anywhere near my legs reach... to the point of pretty much not being able to fight me at all. He originally said that he wanted to "End" me for what I did.. but realized, that I taught him a valuable lesson. He would soon start practicing that kick himself, for potential use against others.

@@aliensyndrome4280 Clearly you have not seen all of the clips Ive watched, if you think Lee wasnt fast. But you are correct, that speed alone, isnt everything. For example.. its being able to catch the OP with an instant Counter, every single time... without failure... such as seen in his Long Beach sparring footage. Lebell catch Lee?! lol. A lot of people severely over-estimate grapplers. I studied Wing Chun myself, as well as several other arts methods. I used to go around to various local schools, to participate in their open-sparring events... One day I went to a Jujitsu schools open house sparring event. When I went to spar one of their best Blackbelt fighters... he started being disrespectful, making stupid faces at me, and making grunting noises. Normally I dont use KO (or higher) levels of power when I spar. However, when a fighter shows me open disrespect... I teach them a lesson. He tried the typical grappler tactic, of feinting high, then diving low for the takedown. Except, that Im a Masterclass level fighter. I dont fall for such foolish tactics. I used my mostly extended LEAD guard hand.. to launch a vertical fist to his forehead. Less than 6 inches of travel, and I never used more than about 15% of what I was capable of Delivering. Knocked him out cold. I then proceeded to KO their other two blackbelt fighters, one after the other... the exact same way. I was Kind enough to ALLOW them to get past my Oblique kicks to their Kneecaps, without putting them in the Hospital. Id later find out, that one of the dudes I KO'd, had also intentionally broken a TKD fighters arm that day. The next event they held (that I heard about, and attended), was not for another few years, when they moved their school to a different location. I expected a similar behavior... but this time, their attitudes were far better. All smiles, being very polite, and even bowing to everyone. And for whatever reason... none of their fighters approached me to spar against me. Unlike last time... when they instantly made a B-Line towards me, to try to fight me first. Happened to me a lot, when I wore my Traditional Chinese Uniform. Grappling has its uses... (mostly for controlling a Drunken Uncle at a wedding reception) ... But its not the "Magic Bullet" that most people think it is. Most of the vids you see it working, are against mid level, and or Clueless / Inept fighters. Try getting within a Leg or Arms reach of a High or Masterclass level fighter... and you are getting a severe Injury, LONG before you are in grappling range. In fact, most Chinese arts, have entire advanced Grappling + Throws + Takedown training sections within them (Chi-Na, and Shuai Jiao). However, why would you allow a fighter to get past every other range of combat: Long Kicks, Long Strikes, Short Kicks, Short range hand-strikes, foot-sweeps, ankle locks, elbows, knees, full-body checks, headbutts, etc.. Why try to wrap them up.. when you can simply KO, Cripple, or "End" them? Again, grappling is Mostly for controlling someone, rather than harming them.

Bruce did train with JGL and he opened Bruces eyes to Judo, which is why you'll see Judo is at the second highest level in the Bagoda in his movie Game of Death. The highest level was to have no style at all and to be athletic. Kareems character.

I'm on the fence about this. People talk a lot. Lebell could have spoke to rogan off the air during a particular podcast and told him the story "off air" because of the lawyer thing and Rogan might have just taken all Gene's stories at face value. They could have been high, they could have been drinking together some. Who actually "knows" what happened between them. I think Godenbell is going a little over with this "Joe Rogan is lying" thing where it seems more likely Joe is just carrying over a story he probably wasn't supposed to that (according to you and the guy you spoke to) isn't true. Gene might have just decided it was better to tell a fibb (or two) to get a little more juice with Rogan thinking it might not ever surface or, by the time it did, the lawyers wouldn't come after him. So many people have told this story that pointing the finger at Joe (alone) seems a little unfair. I think the more honest thing for you to have done would have been to directly contact Joe Rogan about it and "ask" him before putting out a video. If Joe had blown you off or something that might be more validation for this video. Also, it could have been edited out of the podcast for legal reasons and joe just still told the story. It's pretty obvious that Gene made NO real efforts to stop anyone from spreading it...what does that tell you? There ARE interviews where it quotes Gene talking about being on the set with Bruce in The Green Hornet. Jump on google for a minute. I think you should have titled this video "Rogan believes Lebell lies and carries on the story". Just seems like you're cutting Joe a little too deep for believing Gene Lebell. This story just seems a little one-sided. Sorry, but that's just my take on it all.

John Little is the best biographer of Bruce Lee (though Goldenbell Training is getting close, props to you) and he has studied Bruce Lee's actual journals which had a detailed itinerary of all his appointments, where he trained, who he trained and at what times. There was nothing in there about Gene LeBell so Gene's claims of training with Bruce were not true. Lee never went to his school and he never went to Lee's home or class. Lee didn't know him that well. Gene only appeared in a brief stunt scene on the Green Hornet once and another stunt scene on another TV show and that's it.

It is nice to see Goldenbell Training ( GT) including the long lost BlackBelt column describing Lee's loss to Lebell I brought back to public knowedge in its video. You're welcome. I also believe GT is overintellectualizing the whole episode by dissecting job titles trying to find out who was "Stunt Coordinator" and who wasnt. This is parsing over insignificant details. The bottom line is a known hothead who was abusing stuntmen got in a probably thisclose nose to nose, finger in chest argument with a much larger ( and debatebly more skilled) seasoned grappler/stuntman. And the fact they were probably right in each others face and personal space made it extremely easy for someone with Lebell's skill too easily wrestlefuck a much smaller Lee to the ground. If they started 5 feet apart. maybe Lee would have won. But under the circumstances of starting from a chest to chest argument, Lee was easy pickings for Lebell's meathooks and his grappling. This was an in your face argument that devolved into a flash wrestling brawl which ended up with Lee being helplessly pinned by Lebell. I have yet to here Shannon and Linda Lee, or Inosanto for that matter declare this account as false.

I was around when Bruce Lee was still alive. Lebell & Bruce Lee trained together, Lee studied judo with Gene to add to his early JKD. Lee also trained with many martial artists like Ed Parker the Kenpo master and appeared at his invitationals. If you weren't there, at least do some research before you post bullshit. As for Lebell & Seagal, Steven was known for beating on stuntmen, and "acting" like a badass, and Gene was a stuntman for years. Later Gene would only say Steven is a terrific martial artist. That was because Seagal had a standing lawsuit threat to Gene if he ever mentioned the incident again.

I believe Gene LeBell would beat Bruce and wouldn't have too much trouble catching him. One story I heard was Bruce's sparring with karate people in Boston, where the guy he was fighting routinely stuffed Bruce's kicks and was, literally, catching Bruce to keep him from winding up on the dojo floor. Gene, as an excellent Judoka, would have probably stuffed Bruce and been able to throw him around. But, it's just a theory, we'll never know.
@GoldenbellTraining
@GoldenbellTraining 4 месяца назад
That story about Bruce sparring in Boston isn't true. I've looked into it. Furthermore, Hayward Nishioka couldn't catch Bruce. He trained with Gene Lebell. I am starting to think people don't understand Bruce's actual gift of being able to get in and out of someone's reach basically at will. I learned that lesson after trying to spar with an old boxer after a Sanda class.

And many of Gene's guys have retold it. The Bruce Lee story is also as Gene told it to his students. You can say Gene lied, but you can't say Rogan made it up. Also, no offense, but none of the judo or JJ instructors were the level of Gene. Saying his first exposure to real or high level grappling was with Gene is a fair characterization.
