I don't think many people are going to see this but this is the guy with the 10th submission. Honestly, I didn't think I would be select for this but I'm glad both the boys and chat had a good laugh. First off the desk is a homemade and you only get to see a third of it in the photos, it's really big like 7 PCs can fit underneath. Then again I sit in a weird position so leg space might be a problem I never notice. As for why the desk was a mess, there WAS a lot of empty space both behind and beside the monitor, but I hate having unused space sooo yea.... The PC itself was a hand-me-down and the upgrade would of been nice but the others need it more than me. One thing I'm salty about is being DQ for being a League player, FU Garnt rehab was a mistake and I should've continue being a toxic gamer. My take away from this is 1) To clean my desk again and keep it clean. 2) If I'm going to try and be funny DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LEAGUE RELATED ON HAND.

2nd place here. Thanks for rating my setup really love your comments and reactions :) my PC was a hand me down and I just made the best out of it. The processor is an AMD FX (not bad but def way behind). I do have both good quality JoJo figures and cheap ones (bootleg funko pop looking ones) and I find both work well enough to bring color and character to my desk. I wish I got 1st place and won the PC but hey I would still hard stuck at gold III in league even with it. Perhaps Erika could make use of it more and be a better member of society. Great content as always boys!

Yeah, I was a bit unsure because let's be real, none of the boys are what I'd call good with PC hardware. Like when they trash the GTX 970 despite that still being a solid enough card (although as a 980ti user I do feel it's getting to the point where I would want to consider an upgrade). Then they look at the PC with the old FX CPU and what I assume to be a fairly old Radeon Sapphire GPU, I'd guess maybe like a HD7950 or HD7970? and say the GPU looks new... They never even noticed the FX sticker on the cooler which iirc would make it a FX 9000 series CPU, so that's what? almost 10 years old at this point? and from a time when AMD was getting kinda pummeled by intel. Considering how hot those chips ran I think it's a good thing she had the cooler outside the case lol

@@Kriss_941 I still have a GTX 970 and I can run many games at above 60 fps (often 144 fps for lesser demanding games). I can still max out the graphics and have a stable 60 fps for several games. Newer, more demanding games still run fine but there are often dips and inconsistencies in busy areas. Bear in mind I play games at 1440p

@@Arkanna96 Unfortunately, people's habits say a lot about them, and they don't suddenly go away even after a drastic event. I understand that there may be skepticism surrounding her care for the PC. Initially, you'll do all you can to protect it because it's expensive tech, but she'll eventually fall to her own habits eventually. That being said, once I upgraded my PC around early 2015, I stopped playing browser and indie games and immediately started playing AAA and more demanding games because, well, it wouldn't run like garbage. I don't think she'll use it just for RU-vid.

Bad submission #1 is definitely a retro gaming setup. You can see the gamepad and one photo had CapCom logo on it. People don't like playing retro games on modern screens because they lag and don't look like they used to with interlace etc. It costs more to have a CRT these days.

For those curious (and the boys), the screen inside the PC, if actually a screen, probably is used to display some of the computer metrics like temperatures, memory usage, GPU usage, etc. Jayztwocents did a video or two showing how to do it if anyone's interested!

I was one of the people who thought that single monitor setups were enough. This was until I bought a second monitor off of a clearance sale. It was only 19 inches and had bad viewing angles but it was extremely cheap. The difference was night and day especially when doing research work or presentations. I was able to easily read books/papers on one monitor and input information on a word processor/powerpoint on the other monitor which saved me a large amount of time since my laptop would sometimes lag whenever I would alt-tab. It is an extremely worth-it item especially if you are doing a lot of academic research and I would recommend people to buy one if they own a laptop.

Top left figure is chie mama 1/4 scale by binding and native. Also monitor is on just an endstand thats flipped around. Cant believe I made it on trash taste and have been deemed to have fucking great anime taste. First thing I did after this was buy a new desk and some cable management supplies.

The more I see the submissions, the more I feel I could’ve had a fighting chance since all I’d do is take a picture of my laptop and extended keyboard (unless the rules for submission required a preexisting PC setup). I’ve never owned a PC in my 21 years alive.

Erica's relic is so ancient. The GT 210 is a 2009 release. Even if Erica didn't get the 3080, the built in CPU graphics in the 12900K are already a massive upgrade over the GT 210.

Close, Slot A is usually PII(there was a Slot A to Socket 370 adapter but those were mostly for the Celerons like the 400A which was Socket 370 as well), and it is possible to run up to 1.5GB of ram, that board is probably a 440BX chipset and the IMC on those dont really like sticks over 256mb(but i did manage to run two 512mb 133MHz sdram in 100MHz on one of those boards a long time ago) so 768mb of ram is usually the upper end of what you would see on a PC like that, shout out the Creative Soundblaster Live!

More than enough for a retro setup. I used an early 2000s laptop back in 2011 which had around 64 mb of ram and I was able to play n64 games via an emulator.

Looks around a mismatched trio of desk, and 15 year old New Egg computer(Windows 7). The computer has both panels removed with a 2 foot industrial fan pointed at it. Tied to 3 mismatched monitors; Curved 32'' , 22'' CRT, 18'' laptop turned into a video monitor. All packed in the corner of a room painted pink and green(not my choice, never bothered to repaint my office), with my main desk converted to a reloading station. I'm pretty sure I would have won, in terms of janky ass setup.

1:40:43 i believe that ‘table’ supposed to be a TV stand because i can see an electic socket under some kind of a thing that hold the TV (The black one behind the main monitor). It make sense if you think it that way because the ‘tv stand’ is surrounded by a wall cabinet and a bookshelf

On a side note for the bois, You can have PS5 Controller work on a PC. Steam games work with it or also you can use DS4Windows. So he probably uses it to game on the PC

Looking at some of these setups I think mine is still decent since I have a laptop with MX230 2GB VRAM, i7-11th gen, and 20GB RAM and a second monitor plugged in, my only problem is desk size, I have to remove my drawing tablet if I need to do something aside from drawing on the desk

Build one, wayyyyyyy cheaper (except obviously for a gpu), it’s super fun and you learn quite a lot of new things, it’ll last you way longer, and you can continue upgrading over the years and doing this with a pre-built might be difficult because most other parts that aren’t the cpu and gpu are not as great. I built my first one about 3 weeks ago and I’m so glad I built one instead of buying a pre-built

Connor really is my favorite. Joey sometimes just says stuff that makes no sense. Like earlier he said something along the lines of "be broke and get woke", referring to the person with the worst setup getting a better pc. But that's not what woke means. I have been using this keyboard for about 6 years and never thought that it was the "most saddest-looking keyboard" + I keep it clean and I have never had problems with the keys, so I've always looked at this keyboard as something comfortable and high-quality. @@AJJ129 for NVIDIA GPUs, generally, the first 1 or two digits are the series of gpu (like a generation) and the last two are where the gpu sits within that generation, with different ranges from 50 to 90. As such, the bigger the number, the better the graphics card (for the most part). But this is only for marketing/naming purposes and a high end card of one generation will often outperform a low end card of the next generation. But the new lower end cards will start with a lower retail price. The Gtx 970 is in the 900 series. The next generation was the 10 series (3x: gtx 1070). After this came the 20 series (ex: rtx 2070), and currently we have the 30 series (ex: rtx 3070).
