I’m starting to lose support for her, she’s being a hypocrite and backtailing on all of the opinions she had just cause she’s scared to be cancelled. It’s the opposite, once you get fame and the belt especially, you can say whatever you want, look at Strickland. Amanda is not a real mother, masks are pointless, and Rogan did nothing wrong.
@@Stephen-lt1tp and the UFC doesn't censor them so there's no reason to be afraid of it even if you're not a champion, Bryce Mitchell comes to mind. They should take advantage of being able to say anything because no one else can. The celebs are going after rogan for supposedly using the n word but for some reason they still endorse Biden who is on video calling a mayor and others the n word. Maybe those videos aren't shared enough. Imagine if Trump said something like that. Hypocrisy on the left is sickening.
@@otallono Exactly but when she was on Rogan she was scared to even swear, maybe something with her daughter. Still you don’t have to switch your whole political beliefs for a private company youre champ of. Plus what about Howard stern. He said the N-word thousands of times, he even hired Robert just so he could say that. But of course he supports vaccine mandates, so he’s never going to get canceled, liberals are the new conservatives. Conservatives are the new hippies
@@1BlackParade sorry just cause you have a positive attitude doesnt make you the champ, i can respect it, but nunes showed who the real champ was last night
Bruh lol it has nothing to do with that, the controversy was her saying that she thinks Covid is fake and that the government is trying to kill everyone lmao
I’m gonna be real, I’m a Muslim so (although I don’t hate them) I don’t ride with the whole LGBTQIXYZABC thing but what she said is rude. Forget about Amanda here for a second. That statement affects women who don’t have a uterus, women who are infertile for other reasons. I get what she was implying but there was a better way to phrase it. And this is coming from someone who’s tired of hearing all the self righteous hypocritical “feminists” who want equality in rights but no accountability or responsibility. This is how you know what pena said was harsh
When she stood in the pocket with the lioness and won she made me like and respect her as a fighter. Now hearing her talks, her drive, and seeing how she carries herself. She has a fan.
She is so cool,so personable. Love how she has matured so much since the Show. Really Happy that she got to shine like this, because Many fighters never will. Respect.
Man she’s a good representative for the sport. Well spoken. Carries herself great. If she can manage to stick around and have a good run she just has everything the ufc could want
But Julianna’s right though, she’s the only one of the two who actually gave birth. Whatever toll that takes on your body, she’s the only one who experienced that. All other factors of being a mom are the same
Not only that hormonal disruption, but Amanda also most likely had the exact opposite in hormonal advantages/disadvantages due to most likely having androgynous testosterone added to her at one point or another. (Assuming)
If you hear her on the Joe Rogan Experience she talks about giving birth and how it went really bad and she was in a lot of pain. She thankfully recovered from it though.
She deserves that belt, and deserves respect, she is so humble but confident. Looking forward to her rematch, what ever way that goes, she will still have my respect.
I was in the crowd when she won the belt and it brought me to tears. I remember talking with someone before the fight saying they would put $100 on Peña I told him you’re better off burning it. Crazy.
She carries herself like a Champion and talks like a Champion. She knows herself and what she wants, doesn't second guess herself or her answers and she is true to herself 👏👏👏.
My favorite thing she said on her victory tour is she lets anybody who wants to take a pic with the belt that opportunity. She wants to share this and inspire people and still kick ass. I absolutely love it.
I’m starting to lose support for her, she’s being a hypocrite and backtailing on all of the opinions she had just cause she’s scared to be cancelled. @@Stephen-lt1tp Exactly! While her win was inspirational to many, she lost my respect when she backtracked out of fear of the cancel culture! A real champion is never afraid to speak their mind! Especially if you're a fighting champion! What's the point of being a champion fighter if you're going to let others make you take back things you said that were right??? Amanda did not travail in child birth to be a mom. Juliana did! Facts are facts, and if you can't stand up for obvious facts, you're a coward!!
Man she's such a beautiful, well spoken, bright, intelligent woman. Makes it very easy to love her. Great representation of a champion. Hope she wins this next one and more
@@markstuckless5039 I'll admit I wasn't familiar with her whatsoever before the first fight. I'd heard her name here and there but definitely not like I'm learning now. I can count on one hand the female fighters I know. And I wish they'd get more promotion as well, they're just as badass as the men. They're doing the same shit after all! Julianna and Rose are probably my top women now.
Ryan Toone the female fighting in some ways is more technical, at least at the very elite level. I think it’s because the lack of brutal KO power that males have means to be elite you have to be technically excellent.
I honestly think as we see the season airing and pena’s confidence growing every week and standing her ground, alot of people will favorite her going into that rematch
Powerful woman, glad she is the champion and a role model for our daughters to follow. Can't wait for her to shock the world again. Full circle, that's how she started.
Julianna winning the belt was such a satisfying win for the story, but now seeing her as champ it’s a great win for the sport. She really carries herself great as champ, and handles questions as well if not better than some of the best that have come before her. The fact that she didn’t jump on the Rogan hate train is also a big bonus for me because some people in her place would have done that without even a second thought. She comes across very genuine which I love to see in the fight game
The UFC has been gifted a female fighter that could be a super star. She checks a lot of boxes. Confident, hard working, smart fighter, personable, gorgeous, great interview, passionate about mma, determined, etc. Also, as you said, all of it seems genuine. Hard not to like her.
Congrats to her. I was shocked but happy for her. I love the way she just stood there after the win, not celebrating or jumping on the cage but taking it all in and trying to process what just happened. It was fascinating to watch that. She is a great interviewee too, very interesting to listen to and full of personality.
THIS is the REAL test for her: Defending the belt. Winning it is great, but now she must defend it- and not just here, but repeatedly. Doing so is an undeniable sign that you are the top of the game
It seems to me that he wins the rematch but that he doesn't win all of them because then it happens like Amanda won so much, that after they beat him it was quite an astonishment, it's better that he wins loses wins about two in a row loses to recover his belt and so on
Julianna Pena really adds to the image of the MMA sport, cordial in her demeanor, articulated, clarity in her thoughts, good looking, smart, etc. very inspirational at her performance above and down the hexagon. congrats!
She is genuine and I like her as an athlete and as a first-rate human being. Whether she wins the rematch or not, it will not matter: she will remain an athlete I will always support.
Huh? Lol Shes back tracking on her own opinions like a coward. Theres no way for her words to be miscontrued... she clearly said she physically gave birth and amanda did not... it is her opinion that that makes her more of a mom... she should stand by that and not bow down to the twitter mob if thats how she feels. Also, whatever she said on Rogans podcast she should stand by. She needs to stop trying to be something that shes not, and stop trying to please people who disagree with her. Its a rather pathetic display by a champion
Don’t apologize for nothing. You owe nobody, Julianna. Your thoughts are valid, just as Rogan’s are and anyone who can agree 1+1=2 know that. Please never forget the rights you were given, the fights that have really happened, the people who died for us to have those freedoms to say what you want. Dana has always been a supporter of that as well. Valid points never deserve an apology. Stand tall & head high, Champ!!
ZPSBestProfileName wtf was the point of the gain of function research in Wuhan, check out Kary Mullis's thoughts on Fauci before he died. Fauci is just an administrator pushing an agenda not a scientist. All that Eipstein shit came out and the public didnt do shit. Aside from politicians and celebrities, scientists were on that island as well. Ghislaine Maxwell's father was part of Mossad and they did the same shit with kids with the purpose of blackmailing, so what were scientists being blackmailed for?
Don’t know much about her I’m not going to lie but this was a great interview, she holds herself well and I’m looking forward to seeing what she can pull off, again.
Nobody can cancel you. You cancel yourself when you apologize to the clowns trying to cancel you. Everyone to the right will gladly applaud you for standing your ground against the wicked.
The bottom line is that from here on in , the name " Champ " is attached to her . That can never be taken away from her. She knows she's got her hands full in the rematch. She knows next time it's going to be a war. She only has to tweak a few things to win again. As crazy as it sounds the biggest tweak, and she knows it , is to be in even better condition. She knows Nunes will be in better condition, so she's got to up hers too. In my opinion, if she can get thru that first round, again, she wins the fight. She can't bust her nut in the first . Be strong, counter , get out of the first and it's hers. In the next fight, the first round might end up being the best of all time. Stay tuned.
I've been a fan of Julianaa's since the TUF season. I imagine it is going to be a tremendous emotional experience returning to the TUF as a coach and the champion.
@@brobeans9 ok so that was your first thought. TUF one of the best and most watched shows, seen by many people. a fighter who was very dominant on that show and showed a good personality. in the final she won in the first round with tko, she completed a beautiful season where she had the leading role. And then you think it's weird that people follow her after that? I think that's weird...
@@bonk4225 you a lame lmao I also been a fan of her since TUF and always thought she would be a champion. But she dealt wit a lot of injuries and had some tough losses in between against Shevchenko and Germaine. I feel like you one of those dudes who quick to type “casual” when someone got an opinion that you don’t agree wit or make a statement that you think is wrong. You weird lol
Never apologize to cancel culture. She IS the only female champion in the UFC who personally bore a child. That IS significant. Don't apologize for being a woman who had a baby (which completely changes your body chemistry and can take months/years out of your ability to physically train). It IS different. Anyone can adopt a baby, only 50% of the population can bear one.
Juliana would make a great coach on a series of The Ultimate Fighter, with her being so likeable, people will hang off everything she says, and anyone who can make Amanda Nunes hesitate and back up,then tap out is someone I’d want training me…
When julianna won the belt it was a real tearjerker moment for me, the way Amanda nunes palmed her off, as if she had no chance winning. only to proof to the world she has the heart of a champion

@@notwom3751 You must mean besides all the artists taking their stuff off Spotify lol I've seen more angry about the N word usage, than the misinformation stuff tho
Honest question. How much longer till Joe Rogan gets so big that he can no longer do mma commentary because of the remarks and guests he has on his podcast?
She’s always had a sparkling personality. The UFC never really pumped her up for whatever reason. Her personality broke through without the PR machine. Her saying ‘they really like me’. It’s like Jeremy’s Stephens interview and him saying how much fan support he’s gotten now that he’s left UFC. Both of these fighters had a lot more admiration than they realized because the ufc never put them front and center
Free speech in America: standing in front of judgement and shame by the media/journalists/Twitter/democrats; into a position of accepting not expressing any opinion that doesn’t match theirs, and also: apologizing for not saying words in the exact order or tone that they want, and also: apologizing for being different any time they decide to change whatever their opinion or rules become at the moment.
Been a fan of Julianna for years because of her personality how she carries herself & for how genuine / quality of a person she seems to be. Waited for her skills / results in the cage to match that so seeing her be a champion is so awesome. Just like with Do Bronx so easy to route for them

Juliana is so sweet yet deadly at the same time, i hope she stays champ for a long time because if kids can see her as a role model then the world will be just a tad nicer for all
to try to discredit her because "Amanda had an off night" is ridiculous lol that happens so what. They're legitimate reasons nd excuses like fighting with injuries and shxt but having an off night is truly an excuse
Yeah but the off night could be caused by injuries and other factors e.g a bad training camp. I honestly cannot see a scenario where Pena beats Amanda again. MMA maths doesn't always work but Nunes beat Valentina in their first fight and at least made it competitive in the 2nd fight (she lost tho imo) while Valentina thrashed Pena. Nunes is the far better fighter lets be real
@@kevindurantburner3592 maybe you can't see it.....but trust it's going to happen again, pena didn't even get into 2nd gear in that initial fight and she had amanda backing up once she got in the pocket etc i feel amanda is better at 145 as today for her the 135 cut eventually takes it's toll and she gasses quick once a fighter weathers her storm.
@@Mark_106 Good points ngl. You could be right about the weight cut tbh. Her cardio sucks at 135 but it's good at 145. Weight cuts can be managed with a better nutritonist & sports scientist (just look at the difference for Figgy after he linked up with Cejudo & his science team) I think we'll see a better Nunes that finally turns up and gets it done. We need to see Nunes v Valentina 3 because there's no one else that has even come close to competing with Val
I love this woman! I am going to pray to God to bless her and give her victory once again, when she talk we can notice her humility, respect and education
