Thanks, just fixed the same problem using your method. I'm really trying to like this radio, but first I had a problem with the switch that happen to be the ribbon cable that needed to be reseated, than key stuck issue that happens to be the same- ribbon cable in another location. Since 70's I used ton of different radios, Futabas, JRs, FrSkys, but this one so far seems to be the least dependable, yes I'm trying very hard to not to use the right word to describe it. Kind of scary to fly the more expensive craft with it.
Bought a refurbished T16pro from Amazon. Page button was not working, no error message no nothing. Was very skeptical at first to try your method. 10 mins later everything works perfectly again. Thank you so much for this video!
I thought it was ridiculous too, but it fixed it to this day. So glad to see the RadiomasterT16S and T18 coming out with wires and not ribbon cables. Glad it helped you...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my channel. I went to a friend's house to update his T16 from Jumper TX to Open TX, however, the transmitter was not working. The roller and buttons on both sides were unresponsive. So I figured out what was wrong, and here it is. Also, after fixing it and loading Open TX, we can finally play Freerider Sim. I like the voodoo that you do! My Jumper started doing this after jumping off the desk. The cables looked just fine, but flipping them around worked a charm. Probably just re-seating them would have worked as well, but why mess with success. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I started getting the key stuck error on the newer T16 pro which came with open TX. Since only the model button was not functioning, I just reseated the ribbon cable on the left hand side and that resolved the issue.

Thank you for checking it out and the feed back... I have watched a few videos and read some forums and found Painless 360 did the best job. It is a little tricky, but he makes it easier, I thought. That is so funny two months ago I received my radio and I had the same problem me being a curious person I said let me see if I can fix this I've found in my radio when I removed a little ribbons there was a little piece of copper looking like a strand from a wire Crossing two of the connectors can't believe but I got lucky and caught that pulled it out with tweezer and well and behold there was another one on the right side of the radio in the connector but not Crossing I'm taking a guess when they made the ribbon cables it was a piece of copper from when they molded the End or or however they make them great job good video
Hey man thanks for replying. But no i dont have a video about it. Its just the screen is blank white when i turn it on. Its brand new out of the box Not sure whats wrong
@@propsoff Heyy brotha dont mean to bother yah but i took the whole thing apart took all the ribbons off put them back in and put it all back together and still the same thing. It turns on says the welcome to open TX then the screen lights up but its blank. Idk. SMDH lol
Mine came in this way fresh out of the box. Locked keys and all. I just don't understand why so many people recommend this radio, it feels cheep, already malfunctioning right out of the box. I'm taking it back. I'd say do not go with this radio. You're a paying customer, you shouldn't have to do this on a brand new, fresh out-of-the-box product.
