Today we're looking at three ways to implement a classic platforming mechanic: jumping underneath and through a platform, to land on top of it. It's seen in many platformer games such as the Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong Country series. It's a mechanic that's easy to implement but the three ways we show you will have different performance impacts. If there are a lot of platforms in your scene, you'll want a performant method that scales.
