+Thomas Davis I never knew other people's opinions mattered more than my own. Just because the masses say it's the greatest game ever doesn't mean I will EVER see that game as better than my all time favorite game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Earthbound being my second most favorite game. Just because Undertale gets all the praise doesn't mean shit to me. That's other peoples opinions. And other people don't pay my fucking bills.

The thing about Undertale was about how it defied other games. You don't have to kill anyone and everyone has a personality. It was how it could shift from the horror of a neutral ending to the pure emotion of pacifist ending to the rage of a Genocide run. Undertale relies on the player knowing nothing. People should envy those who played Undertale before the hype hit. Those who know nothing and most likely massacred the Underground and then felt the weight of guilt. It does things that modern gaming doesn't do as well such a moral choice to characters and atmosphere. To anyone who dislikes Undertale, I can except that but this is all I have to say. Monster Girls will always have fan art and Rule 34 will come into effect, it is natural but sexualizing monsters is better than sexualizing robots or animals or, may god forbid, both simultaneously. To quote Yahtzee's Earthbound review (from memory), 'it was just a good game that was released at a time when a game's worth was dictated by its graphic. Thank Christ we don't have that problem anymore.'. Indie gaming is wonderful since it allows for creativity and some of the best games ever made that may even be free of cost.

It's sort of like when I heard that Bravely Default makes you restart the campaign so they could pad out the game; now I actively refuse to play Bravely Default.

Xenoblade is good but open world wise it is EQ2 on launch with a nice big drawer distance for the scene setting flora and fauna. Single player MMO with some public kill/collect quests and some instances. I have sunk 70 hours in and just got my skell but in terms of playable content it is lighter than I had hoped normal/story/affinity quests have provided some good times but the overworked is well designed but standard open world discovery fare with some high level enemies wandering about to add flavour/tension.

Definitely true, and the username was one I came up with several years ago, back when I still watched the Pokémon anime regularly, and played only Pokémon (my first game was Pearl, so circa 2007). After watching the theme songs again, the Orange Islands theme features "Do you wanna be a master?", the last Johto theme (named "Master Quest") has "to be a master is my dream", and so many of them feature 'unbeatable', 'winner', and so on. I was 9 when Pearl came out (Nov 1997 to June 2007 = not quite a decade), so those words resonated with my child self, and I used to watch Master Quest and the Advanced trilogy quite a bit (through Foxtel, videos or those small discs I bought). So yeah - Pokémon's been a part of me for quite some time; I even remember playing an online Pokémon game, named _Pokémon Crater_, before it was shut down and revamped. While XY was a massive disappointment after the brilliance that was Emerald, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, Black and Black 2, and ORAS less so but still disappointing, with Sun/Moon being better but still not quite reaching the level of older games, I still enjoy my time in the world of Pokémon (just hoping for a Ranger 4 and/or a Mystery Dungeon that returns to Explorers of Sky's level of enjoyability, including abusable Wonder Mail).

I always seem to write a lot more than I intend on doing...hmm...
