He’s truly an inspiration for me yeah he’s been losing but dude number one contender since earrrrly 2015 Conor gets sucked off by everybody and Khabib fught was cursed I hope to have 70% of the dog tony has when it counts
Adrenal overload is a mutherfucker, man. 93.897% of all my sparring sessions & fights throughout my life, have only about 6.103% memories, where I actually remember anything that happened. Chaos & violence in motion, goes so gaw'damn quick...
no, please stop downplaying the #HumanHighlight with this lie everyone is trying to sell the uneducated public. Tony got OUT-CLASSED you lying ass tony groupies
I was thinking the same thing. You know there has to be an open invitation considering Tony's relationship with Eddie Bravo. I'm guessing Tony ain't cool with two plus hours of sit down conversation. El Cucuy likes to keep it moving. 🤷🏻♂️
Most real and relatable moment was when Tony shoved Justin after the fight (was a gut-wrentching loss, makes sense) and Justin told him simply yet sternly. "You get nowhere being an A-hole bro," and Tony quickly turned and hugged Justin once he realized. Both men quickly overcame their overwhelming feelings to show respect
@@boogeyman1016 true Tony had to take that all in... but you win some and lose some. Justin was the better fighter no excuses and I'm a fan of tony! But it could have been the weight cut people say it was I personally believe it was that Justin was the better fighter but glad they hugged after and showed sportsmanship.
Totally, and imagine where he'll be in 10 years. He's already psychotic, his life will become the worst shitshow ever. Sad for his kids who will also become psychotic
>Trains all year for khabib >Gets a fight with khabib >Khabib pulls out >Gets only two weeks to prepare for the hardest hands in the division >Accepts the fight anyway >Cuts weight 2 times in 14 days >Gets handed his first loss in 8 years and 12 fights and is absolutely broken >Goes on a 6 fight losing streak It has been painful,Cucuy💔
Watch the whole thing for the Yoel comments, but I'm sure you know what he said already 😄👍...but on a side note "denser bones than Yoel" is saying something lol
yeah, it was actually a little sickening, haha. The bone crunching thumps without crown noise to cover it up really makes it a little too real for me. Especially with how many were landing.
Trevor is a gifted teacher. He doesn't complicate things, he has his ego in check and respects the coach/athlete dynamic. Effortless breakdown of nuance of in-fight coaching and pre=fight training. Know it all blowhards would do well to take tips from this master.
@@omnignarusist yeah I agree 100%. Its almost common sense at that point to lose all that weight twice within a short period of time. I still believe that Tony beats Khabib and hes the only man to do so. The ONLY.
@@omnignarusist yeah 4 weeks before u know its gayche n u still train for a grappler...he is stupid like khabib said...i loved how he danced in the octagon...n that bad beating he got...its good for what he did to his wife n kid
It doesn't matter how many days early they called you. No man in UFC can win in any game while have two weight cut within 3 weeks. I mean 3 god damn weeks!!! THATS A FACT. And even in Joe Rogan previous epside everyone agreed, weight cut is a disaster, includin Justin agreed Nate Diaz had 1-2 week notice and beat Conor Mcgregor, He never bitched like Just Gaethje is doing, By the way Justin and Khabib are on same team management, so it's hard to dismiss that this wasn't a setup.
The dynamic between Justin & his coach is outstanding. He’s coaching Justin during the podcast, never turning it off. No wonder Justin has done so well.
Tony's UFC story is honestly so sad. Everybody falls off. Even the greats. Most of them are just able to capture gold before that. Tony could have been champ for years but injuries and having to fight everyone to string together a win streak because he wasn't a HUGE seller just kept him from it. It's like if Anderson Silva kept having Silva v. Weidman moments and was never able to officially become champion. It sucks. He should have achieved alot more than he did. Die hards will always remember how great he really was though. As a true fan, I don't want to see him fight anymore. He's in a Brendan Schaub situation. He's starting to fall behind the competition so he'll keep taking big shots. He's already taken too many. I want to see him retire and take care of himself. I don't want to see him take more damage for a couple more checks and the UFC machine
Agree 100%. Btw, if anyone hasn’t seen the video of tony kicking around metal pole for strength training for his shins, it’s disgustingly awesome/crazy. just look up: Tony Ferguson training. I think it’s like a 3-4min vid and the thumbnail is him elbowing some shit.
@@someguy1688 it’s sad how now that he is losing people just look at him as washed. They seem to forget how dominant he was and how he was seen as the only threat to khabib. His recent losses made them forget his reign of terror that lasted 8 whole years
TBI fighters that I can’t watch anymore: cerrone, JDS, Maynard, Diego Sanchez, Overeem, Mir, Barry, there’s about ten others. Fortunately these are almost all retired or released at this point. Except Cerrone. God let him get really into fishing or wake boarding or something cause needs to not fight anymore. I hate to see someone get that TBI every fight.
@@mayflower4082 lmao me either bro I’ve never seen someone look happier when their fighter loses then when they win 😂😂 Usman gets knocked completely unconscious with a headache and Whitmans in the corner like this 😀😀😀😀
Trevor is a badass coach,i like how he thoroughly broke down training time for a fight. A lot of fans think they just show up lol..it takes months to get ready
What?????? I don't know anybody who thinks people who are professional fighters and coaches of fighters "just show up"/don't prepare or train. I can't believe people believe that. Def not true for people I know but damn I guess there are some out there.
Now Joe's gonna buy one of those machines for the studio so he can start offering everyone a complimentary bone density scan. Then he'll be saying they can really pump their numbers up if they start eating more elk meat.
Joe is such a great interviewer I love how he gives his guest story structure and let's the audiences in on the information supsingly so many podcast don't do that
Adam Mitchell - Nope. He basically took shot gun blasts to the face for five rounds without falling. If you’re going to look badass even losing, he most certainly did that. The guy got TKO’d without actually being knocked down a single time. Tony’s the type of guy to do that.
It killed a part of me seeing Tony get dismantled and literally suffering brain damage in that fight. He was never the same after that loss. I can still hear those thudding hooks after that overhand. 😢
Man , I'll remember this fight forever , Khabib - tony fight murdered, the covid situation ,absolutely nothing going on , no motivation from anywhere, and then this brutal fight took place and i was sure that Tony would win , but the beautiful brutality that Justin showcased was such an INSPIRATION! To me, it showed how hard and focused he was during this time of distraction where nothing is to look forward to when I was so easily distracted , This fight was special and I'll forever feed INSPIRATION from Justin's performance , and i learnt that no matter what goes on outside ur body , focus on ur craft!
@@fmaza6615 People with metallic replacements in their body are more susceptible to injury, not the inverse. If your skeleton were all titanium, the force of a fall would tear everything soft connecting each piece, and getting punched would probably mean screws coming loose.

@@NixonRexzile-xz4sq just stop it , don't start talking about Ali set Tony up and that bullshit ... Ugh Why the fuck Tony except the fight anyway, that was stupid move, he could've literally just WAIT for khabib to comeback after they open the borders and fight for the title, but no he decided to defend his entrin title AGAIN and he lost, was really a bad decision
What causes you to go to sleep isn't actually anything to do with head impact, it's spinal. You inflict spinal torsion on your target, causing their vertebrae to pinch the spine and that causes a reflex in your body to put you to sleep to relax all your muscles and stop that spinal compression from causing permanent damage. If you can either inflict enough torsion on your target's spine to make the vertebrae pinch it hard, or hit them hard enough to reverberate the spine enough to trigger the reflex, you can insta-sleep someone.
I didn't cry, but I was pretty emotional. It was tough, and somehow an epic fight. I love Tony. He's like a hero to me, but Justin fought so fucking well that night...
@@lloydlovell8431 and what about you? You will resist two rounds with it? Obviously if there had going for 20/30 seconds ahead he will KO tony. But remember it took 4 rounds and a half for to put finish the fight, it took 120 punch to stop the fight with tony. Now ask you yourself: what happened if you fight with tony in the street? Fanboy think before put shit in your comments. Classy stupid human man who only watch the lose or the damage one can take but not others factors as resistance, tenacity, versatility and hear. , and still remember it took 120 punches to Justin to finish the fight because he wasn't finish Tony, and try to image what happened if Tony wouldn't cut twice. Rat.
I'm very eager to see how Tony will be when he returns to the octagon. Hope he fights Dustin or Conor, I just want him to fight Khabib already, especially if Justin fails to beat him in September.
@@jlang7705 This. Khabib isn't eating the shots the Tony ate. No one is. If Justin is able to get even 20% of the significant strikes he got Tony, khabib will be taking a nap.
@@jamesh8852 I agree - and seriously? I am a major Khabib hater - I just don't like liars and assholes - But? let me tell you something - I have come to the conclusion that Khabib probably has the best STRIKING DEFENSE, in the UFC - Did you see the 20 seconds of Francis vs Rosenstruick? If that was Khabib, he would have had his arms up, and wouldn't have been KO'd -
Damn now you gotta calculate the amount of punches you threw and get the 10% of it and take that out of your original punches , while your getting clobbered in your head
14:30 they are talking about why sometimes a shot will put you to sleep and other times that same shot won't and I just wanted to put it out there as a nurse, hydration has a lot to do with "cushioning" for lack of a better word in your head. If your brain is dehydrated it is gonna impact the inside of your skull harder. Water helps cushion against that, so I think hydration has a lot to do with whether a fighter goes to sleep or not.
Trevor has done an outstanding job with an incredible group of fighters. The adjustments Gaethje made during that fight with Tony Ferguson made me a fan. I hope Justin wears undisputed UFC gold.
Justin just highlighted how the mental health side of the preparation is important. A lot of fighters suffer on that front. That shows everyone need a bit of TLC. Hope they all are getting the help they need and the prep along with their training and post match recovery.
I love Justin he’s one of if not my favourite ufc fighters but Trevor Whitman has got to be mentioned he’s gotta be one of the best coaches out there if not the best, what a perfect partnership, respect boys from uk
I get chills just hearing the breakdown of the POV from a fighting coach. Please try to have two coaches from both corners of a previous match on your pcast. OMG that would be electric bro.
It is a 12 fight UFC win streak which is one of the longest that is at the highest level, bc some guy go like 12-0 and fight nobodies in mma until they get into the UFC it won’t matter as much. Tony will be back!
Actually true. Lol. But for his sake I hope he doesn't have to go through that kind of dismantling to often, it doesn't pay off long term, he is a beast no doubt and it was a classic fight but I think I would be cringing for Tony if a rematch was planned. .
Tekka579 - It wasn’t more severe than some other fights. People are forgetting it was dead quiet in there with no crowd noise . The shots weren’t muffled and most likely there was some reverb going on. Relax.
That's gonna be the hardest fight of khabib. Maybe he will really lose a round or two. I don't see a total domination because gaethje is a wrestler with amazing hands and great cardio he have everything. Before he didn't have a brain but now he fights smarter. And a big factor if abdulmanap can't do the game plan for khabib that will change everything
Khabib isn't losing to anyone who is not Abu Dhabi level with submission transitions. This fight will go how the fight with Dustin went. Khabib will smash.
Trevor Wittman and Justin Gaethje combo is so awesome!!This conversation is so fascinating!!This Trevor Wittman guy is very articulate about stuff he wants to go about!!
@@Waka4000 I have met Justin's family. I fixed his grandmothers toilet one day, and they are the average catholic hispanics. Very nice people. (Edited poor wording and changed my name to my nickname)
I think about that alot as well. Specifically in the kamaru vs Colby fight. Colby hit him with shots that'd knock anyone out. It was as if Usman was telling himself, no matter what, this man is not putting me down. He ate every shot like a champ. I thought Colby would walk through him
@a credible media source youre ignoring the part directly inbetween where Trevor said,"but there are people who can punch you at any moment, and youll go to sleep." thats why Joe replied with,"yeah, punching power is so weird". So maybe you should heed your own advice about opening your ears dude.
love tony, but the way gathje fought that match was pure methodical, genius and beautiful. hope he keeps it going and hope tony can give a better fight on a rematch later on
Methodical, he's unstoppable. He was about 2 leg kicks apiece from chopping down both Alvarez and Poirier, and being undefeated, while not fighting so smart. I guarantee neither of those guys would want a rematch.
That being said, Khabib is an alien. Cormier can't roll with him. My 2 favorite fighters in the UFC are meeting, and I hope it's the fight of the century.
Definitely one of the best fights I’ve ever seen I have to say as impressed as I am with the beat down Justin gave tony I’m equally impressed with Tony’s ability to take so much damage especially from one of the hardest hitting guys in the division who is also great at dealing those nasty leg kicks
Justin Gaetje has got to be the most exciting fighter in the UFC right now , and he totally brings out the best in his opponents . When I know he's fighting I'm like a kid before Christmas , I can't sleep . 😁
