Track House definitely got their hopes up high when the fields used to be tight and close, but now the field is up to Hendrick, Gibbs, and a little bit of RFK. They just need to take a step back, get their guys together and try to make steps foward
I'm a fan of Ross and Daniel. They were one of the most exciting teams for the last two years, but struggled this season. I want Trackhouse to succeed.
I agree. I'm a fan of Ross and hate the fact that he isn't winning rn. IMO they need to get rid of Phil Surgeon. He's clearly not getting things done & is the reason Chastain is winless.
Well, when you have Hendrick's calling trackhouse, Chevy and NASCAR, basically, they put handcuffs on Ross chastine and told him to back off or else they were going to pull their motor program from trackhouse racing so chicken s*** owner of trackhouse bowed down To their demands.
I think the truck series is bad for Nascar, so good. They spend to much money on a stupid "developement series" except o wait moron teams just hire Matt Crafton and other Nascar busts istead of new talent... so dumb and not to mention awful awful racing the past few years. Take it out back or sell it.
@@kharnthebetrayer1575 normally id have said even more time but 2 big factors are hes older and doesnt have the time and as hes said the cup car races so differently that youre not learning much in xfinity because itll all go out the window i think go to 3 cars for TH but leave svg in xfinity 1 more year and if daniel doesnt perform again next year then swap him out and bring bruce too because svg needs some continuity
HMS has just recently had engine trouble. (Larson’s indy engine had ECR influence in it). And relied heavily on RCR/ECR engines. But no one will say that in the news. RCR has a car problem not an engine problem. Guessing the same thing with track house because they also use RCR/ECR engines.
It is technically a HMS problem since HMS is blocking data sharing with the rest of the teams, while in 2022 and early 2023, they were mandated by GM. They used the Darlington incident as an excuse to block sharing to all teams because they were butthurt about other Chevies being competitive.
This was originally a rumor that started on r/NASCAR, people started running with it for no apparent reason before EssentiallySports picked it up. I have Hocevar's amputated leg, btw.
@Imspammedout SVG has a pretty strong shot of winning at least 5-7 races each season. He only needs to win 1 to get a juicy playoff cheque. He is a sponsorship dream as he will get lots of camera time and bring in new fans from around the world. Not to mention new sponsors from aus/nz e.g quadlock, redbull and rumored air new zealand for a direct flight promo.
I feel like if Trackhouse were to expand i do believe that Suarez would still be on the hot seat (coming from a Suarez fan) especially if Chastain's and SVG/or Smith's performance is better. However i do believe Trackhouse is to blame for this situation, if they didnt sign a whole army we wouldnt be in such a hole.
Cannot believe what Mark says. People didn't think CGR was going to sell the team, and Chip just brought the majority of CGR. So anything is possible. Plus chevy/GM not going to give them support because of HMS and Nascar relationship.
Hey Eric, just a little note on your editing. At the end of the Eckes interview as he was wrapping up his last statement, you quietly brought in your close out music as you then get to the supporter page. Really slick and gets you thinking there is a screen change coming. Just thought it was cool. Nice work.
Am i the only one that noticed when spire signed childers that there press release never said a word about corey lajoie being the driver of the 7 car, normally when a crew chief is signed they say who he is working with not just “the 7 car” i guess a lot of people just didn’t catch that.
TV schedule is the real problem To many channel How many streaming or cable do we need I only watch Football and NASCAR on TV It’s a waste of money When you think about all the different channels for us the fan
The problem with Trackhouse is with the performance of the cars, NOT the drivers. Drivers that have proven they can compete don't just turn into bad drivers overnight. The cars they bring to the track every week simply aren't on par with the top tier teams. It's important to remember they have a technical alliance with RCR, who is ALSO struggling, and they have Kyle Busch.
Beating a dead horse here, but Suarez is vital to the Trackhouse name. It's not just a collaboration with Pitbull, it's a group of scrappy guys who fought hard to get where they are -Chastain being a melon farmer, all the uncertainty leading up to CGR in 2018 and after that Xfinity team dissolved -Suarez being from Mexico, first international Xfinity champ, struggled with JGR and SHR, but third time was the charm with Trackhouse -Smith doing numbers in Trucks, thought he was bound for CGR only for it to close, and then last second get Front Row's 38 Truck and win the title in his first season -SVG I mean...guy won his debut Cup race in a car designed to showcase international talent and now it has earned him a seat at the big table of NASCAR Trackhouse isn't just fresh, it's familiar. It's a throwback to when NASCAR drivers came from nothing but their own talent, versus now where sponsorship often plays a bigger role
I agree 100% with you on Chastain, Suarez, and SVG being full time cup next season. I hope for Zanes sake that he gets to stay but his team really needs to step up their game if he is to be with Trackhouse long term. I will say though, thinking about possible alternates for his car... I cant help but have my eye on a couple xfinity guys who could move up in the next couple years and who Id be happy for them to join Trackhouse.. Jesse Love for example. He has been really impressive! He has the potential to be as big as Larson is no doubt so Trackhouse would be smart to swoop him up before someone else does! or maybe Justin Allgaier? Sam Smith...? Corey Heim.. These guys have been making waves in xfinity and Im curious if you think any of them are cup ready and where you think they would fit
They can’t let of Saurez. He brings lots of sponsors with him. They’d lose lots of those sponsors cuz they’d follow Daniel where he’d get signed next. He’s the only Latino representation of the Mexicanos !! La Raza!
When it comes to a 3rd car/charter for Trackhouse next season, what if they go for Owner points with the #91 running it full time instead of part time with SVG behind the wheel for road courses and both Zane & Connor splitting the oval races between the two of them? I recall it mentioned before that Owners points pay better than Driver points so that's something while giving Them some/more Cup series experience before possibly going full time in 2026 & beyond.
The TH worries are being really blown out of proportion imo. In the world of professional Counter Strike, we have a saying that goes "the honeymoon is over" for new teams/rosters. Whenever a new team/roster with top level talent forms, they almost always overperform due to the pressure of being a competitive team not being quite present right away. After some time, and the pieces finally settle together, you almost always see a dip in performance, followed by a small rise in performance with much more consistency than they ever had. TH's honeymoon ended this season. They've won races, and got Ross to the final 4. Now the pressures mounted on everyone to match previous seasons. They might be faltering right now, but that's expected. By the end of this season, we should hopefully start to get an idea where each car should be consistently running, and then we'll start to see TH mature, and consistently perform better, or we'll see wholesale changes because this configuration of drivers/pit crews/cars just isn't gonna see the long term success that Marks undoubtedly wants
Did I miss something with Spire? “They hired their own guy to replace him” referring to Zane Smith. They only just released Corey Lajoie, not hired anyone. So they still have an open seat, no? My guess was Trackhouse bought out Lajoie to keep Smith over there. Cheaper than buying a 4th charter
My opinion about Suarez is he is a good person but when you have better talent in SVG, Zane Smith who’s gained confidence recently and a up and coming superstar in Connor Zilisch you have to move on he’s had 1 good year in the 99 and that was in 22 when he finished 10th in points he got a lucky win at Atlanta but outside of that hasn’t shown consistency even after making changes to the crew keep Ross in the 1 bring in Smith to the 99 and SVG to the 97 and have Zilisch in a Kaulig xfinity car
Talking about Zane Smith, you said he is unlikely to go to Spire since "they already hired their guy".....Who are you talking about? Was that regarding the person replacing Corey in #7?
It makes sense now with Lajoi out at Soire that spire will lease Zane Smith for another year. Then the only question is to replace Suarez with SVG or buy a charter and add a 97 car. I think buying the charter is likely what Trackhouse will do. But a lot of the hold up might be related to NASCAR’s charter agreement still being up in the air. You don’t want to buy the charter before you know what it’s going to be worth, and you don’t want to resign Suarez before you know you have a seat for him. So everything is getting held up
Ross, Daniel and SVG will maybe run 3 cup cars for Trackhouse. We'll definitely see some more strange moves happening. Didn't see LaJoie being released but I understand the move. I've seen rumors about Kyle Busch retiring after this season as well. Is anything confirmed on that note?
Eric. It’s like you don’t even watch the xfinity races. SVG just manages the first 2 stages runs about 20s and then goes for it in the last stage. That’s why he gets his 15th place finishes. Now that he has his 3 wins he has been going for it earlier and getting top 10 finishes.
Without a charter deal, I'm starting to think the other SHR charters maybe have not been sold. I feel like 23XI and trackhouse are on similar wavelengths regarding NASCAR politics and may not invest without first having a deal. Could we see those charters go unsold until after 2025?
Everyone forgetting Suarez won the Mexico Clash this season as well. That's 2 wins for him this season and Chastain 0. But.... I don't see him continuing in 2025 at TrackHouse. They got a lot of money invested in SVG just to let him sit in Xfinity another season.
It seems Trackhouse is experiencing some serious growing pains. You can say Suarez has underperformed, but if he didn't get that win TH would have essentially NOTHING this season. The question for me is if these growing pains are part of the plan. I don't think you can expand that much that quickly and stay as competitive in a series like Cup, and I would hope they are conscious of this. As others have mentioned, Ford and Toyota teams have an updated car and possibly even better factory support. Hendrick has had to react - which they did, but it seems the other Chevy teams haven't been able to do it as effectively. I think some of that parity that made the field so close the first 2 years of the Next Gen car has kind of gone away as the biggest and best funded teams do their thing. I don't think this is about the drivers.
You can’t really be mad at people who made these rumors. We are all getting a little restless. Just wait my friends. We got 11 days until more nascar action 😊😊😊
I actually made a video going over a similar topic, asking the question "Is Trackhouse expanding too far?" The video I made even has that question as the title.
I think TH is having a "mid" season because Hendrick turned the faucet off for sharing data and TH is now using RCR engines. My understanding is HMS stopped sharing data with all teams. No wonder they are so far ahead of the rest of the Chevy camp. TH is definitely the second-best Chevy team right now even considering.
With the charter talks at a stand still and rumors of a big layoff coming to Nascar employees, make you wonder if Nascar is going on the auction block!!!!!!
i don't know why everyone keeps talking like Saurez is going to be the one dropped. Saurez is the guy who brought the money in and brought pitbull in. IF trackhouse decides to let Saurez go, they better have some good sponsors lined up to replace the money that will be leaving with him.
yeah we need to get back to racing these rumors are ridiculous. What’s next “Kyle Larson leaving HMS for RWR because he pushed Haley at dega or something 💀💀💀
Honestly, I can’t wait to see SVG in the cup series but I think that one more year n the XFINITY series would be a good thing. I would not want him to go through a Hailey D situation.
Yesterday Bob Pockrass released his list of top prospects that have a good chance to make it to the Cup Series. He listed a girl, her name is Jade Avedisian and he ranked her 15th. I know nothing about her. Do you guys feel she has the talent to make it to the Cup Series?
Everyone overcomplicates the plumbing The Answer is simple = General Motors/Chevrolet is focusing ONLY on Hendrick Motorsports their MAIN factory team, while ECR is getting second hand engines for all teams, Look at last year and now, HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS always had the last word on it, and they give ECR the engines per deal. Meanwhile FORD and Toyotas are leading the charts every race. Chevrolet GM should had announced their new car and engine for This year, but they didn't, now here's the consequences of such laziness it would be more easier to use the CTS-V Blackhawk as a new Car over the Impala, or even steal one of the Chinese BUICK Regals for this, but nope. Now chevrolet lacks a Car while FORD and Toyota has it. If there is one to blame for Trackhouse's situation is NASCAR, HMS and mainly GM.
Impala, Malibu are being axed... GM's Chevrolet brand now only builds Crossovers, Full size Trucks an SUV's. The only car Chevy builds is the C8 Corvette.🤷🏻
To be honest, Daniel Suarez got a lucky win in Atlanta. He fucking sucks and Chastain struggles to get a win every season. I would trade both those drivers in a heartbeat if I was trackhouse
@@BwInNewJerseyliterally have no sedan's or coupes under the Chevy brand... The new ZR1 is the only bad ass car that Chevrolet builds but it isn't going to be used as a Cup car.
@@T.N.D.88 Thats funny I was going to say corvette but theyre now trophy cars. Its wild that they stick with these underpowered, small suvs that no one wants.
