I heard when cleaning the k&n filters and oiling again, don't use to much oil it can damage the spreaders! Think it sounds like something to think about.
Wow , I have the same car 11 550 4matic grey with dove grey leather AMG appearance package. I love what you've done! I was considering Chrome delete. Do you use vinyl or paint? I was considering red stripe tires. see you deleted the hood ornament and chrome grille. Thank you for this video it gives me a look at what I could make my car into
@HunchoVids can I please ask how you made your E550 roaring like that? Is it just the K&N filter alone, or do you have a different exhaust system and other mods done to the engine. It sounds amazing bro and I’m wondering what I need to do to mine in order to make it sound like yours. I have the same exact car and year. Thanks in advance sir! 😎
Hey few questions with muffins and res delete do you have a lot of drone or just any annoying sounding peaks at any rpm, also is it to loud for daily driving did u just straight pipe the rest or x pipe it
Hey man, this car luckily has very little drone, at a very specific rev range. Pretty much a non-issue. It is sooooo much fun to go up and down he rev range in this car when it has no mufflers, it is well worth any drone you may get. You can easily keep the car from being loud but just letting off the gas, it does not always have to be loud. I have an x pipe, it is a must for this car
yo my man i just got a e550 as well can you tell me what exactly you did to your exhaust and the exact size measurement of your wheels and suspensions setup?
Man u did this thing so nice i swear. Did u paint the chrome parts of the car yourself including the door handles? And also is that carbon fiber mirrors or just covered with carbon?

Did you straight pipe your mufflers? And which set of resonators did you delete and how’d you delete them, x-pipe, H-pipe or straight? & lastly where’d you purchase the lowering module? Been looking for one for mine
its a straight pipe after the main cats, I used an x pipe in place of the main res. I bought lowering springs, not the module, and it was from ebay I believe buy I cant find the listing at this time
I think after a long time of using the filters, I agree. I will post more videos, i just saw all the attention that this video got, I had no idea people were actually watching this
I agree those filters wont change anything in the exhaust note. Lol. But if you want a little more performance and a little better sound out of the engine your (or Him lol) better off deleting those filters outta the air box completely and replacing the tubes that direct the air into the airbox with some cold air intake filters and fitting them properly into the shroud that holds the stock ones in place. If done properly not only will it look better but youll get a way better sound from the engine. Youll especially notice it at higher speeds in the mid to high power band of the rpm range. Itll have a nice whistle sound. And youll also notice an increase in the power. Not a crazy increase but most definitely a noticeable one and one worth the upgrade since you can do it really cheap. But the main thing is deleting those filters out from the stock airbox which most people dont do and say when adding cold air intakes to these naturally aspirated engines your loosing power and just drawing in hot air but thats only because they don’t remove those stock filters out the airbox. So there basically just adding a second set of filters restricting air flow and thats why they loose power and draw in hot air. But if done correctly it definitely works.
I got a couple questions. I can tell you are running Airmatic, which lowering module did you get? Also what tires rim sizes you running? I am trying to avoid rubbing. Indium grey is such a good color isn't it?
I am on airmatic, no lowering module just lowering links, 20x10.5 and 20x9, i have some rubbing but i rolled my fenders and was fine, and i love the color man
@@HunchoVids I got a lowering module and it's so nice. I can go low or high is the road is bad. As long as the car is stopped the lowering module let's me make the changes.
what front lip is that? I have a 2010 e550 with a muffler and resonator delete, 19 inch wheel and tire package, tints, subs in the trunk integrated to the HK system, x pipe, K&N and eurocharged tune... I like that lip tho.... dammit.... there goes another 1000
How reliable is it? And for how much did you bought it? I daily drive 2015 3L diesel landcruiser prado and was looking for v8 weekend car for a while. Is this 550 4 matic system has constant 4WD?
Bought my 2007 e550 for 8 grand and straight piped it a few months ago, it sounds the same as the one in this video. Put rims on it, converted to HIDs and will be tuning it soon. Car has been very reliable, have been daily driving it to work for a year without problems and the car now has 145k miles
Hello m bj had I have e350 and I would like to know where you purchase the Thermal wrap for your air intake pipes. Looks really nice I want to do mines like that. I also love your rims
Hey i’m going to get mine done like this. Can you tell me what all you’ve got done? You said X Pipe and Muffler Delete but what inch pipe in place of the muffler and for the X Pipe
Why record exhaust noise after air filter change. If anything could change in the noise it is the induction sound in the cabin and maybe in front of the car. But with panel filters only, even that is doubtful. Performance wise on the other hand usually the panel filters don`t provide any improvement in the Merc without a remap. Sorry for being so honest :-) But have fun with your e550. Great car.
I was chatting with a guy on the internet that says you can program/Tune computer to go from stock 382HP to 414HP. Without touching anything mechanical🤷♂️
In the video there's very minimal difference. Perhaps if you install a go pro on the hood when doing the launches viewer can identify the difference.😊😊😊 just my 2 cents
the oil is not in the filters, you NEED to apply the supplied k&n spray oil otherwise all the dust particles wont be filtered and it will cause long term damage to your engine. People just put too much oil causing issues, it jsut needs a small amount and it will catch all the dust.
@@daboxer181 New filters every time? That's none sense, the point of these filter is they are reusable. Apply a small amount and let it dry off before reinstalling it and you will be find. Don't make the filter drip oil.
the older 500 ones like this had 5.5L naturally aspirated and the older AMGS had 6.2L naturally aspirated as opposed to the 4.7L biturbo in the newer ones 500s you are thinking of, and the 5.5L AMG that replaced the 6.2
Ok, thanks. and I would like to know the number of the front and rear tires, is that I have the same car as a 2011 E550 and I want to put 20 rings on them.
bumped into this video. Like those filters. Can you leave a link or the products name so I can search for them and try them out. Also, I like to ask you for others things I see on your car, I have the same car but a 350. I'm in a mission in working on it with details specifications like rims, the exhaust etc. Especially what I saw in the engine, what is that yellow paper foiled look a like rapped that I see there, I like it very much, never seen that before. Anyways, can I reach you on your Instagram account. Would love to DM you. Have a good one.
