What problem did you have? I just got a vtec malfunction and a cereal communication malfunction together after power was cut off right at 5k rpm under a humble pull. K24a2 NA pro4 6spd manual lsd all new krune/hybrid harnesses to PND ecu. I also lost communication to my laptop a few times when I can’t to plug it in to see why the engine light came on. Later that night, laptop and kpro communication was good again. But idk if that has anything to do with what happened at 5k rpm bcs I was not utilizing my laptop , it was unplugged.
Could you just talk a little bit slower and clearer for the people from outside of the US? I had to review the video 5 times before I exactly understood what you were saying. Would be very helpful thanks.
Kpro v4 has the option to convert that high frequency signal to low one. If you dont have a Kpro you can use Dakota device. its easier to use. just needs 10 mis or so to splice the signal wire and wire Dakota in. I will be making a detailed video in few days
@@97ektre4 No you don't need converted like Dakota if you have a Kprov4. here is a ncie video from Brian. This iwll sove your problem ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A4-ECo9Luds.html
Great video, now how can someone do this if we have a stock Rsx ecu and we don’t have hondata or halltech I understand what to do in the trany side but how can we make it work on the Ecu side ? Thanks in advance
I'm running 6 speed si k20z3 transmission I bought a jumper harness will install have to do same thing with the wiring on the inside. Also I'm running haltech 1500
Kinney, so i have COMPLETELY different setup. A Kpro 4 with a namebrand GPS speedo unit. Previous owner of my K swap installed a m factory LSD and did NOT install the ring gear back on! 😂 i don't mess with trannys internally SO... went with GPS unit to bypass ALL that. Sorry for LONG story. ANYHOW in theory I should be able to run my GPS gauge signal wire to the E25 PIN and be golden..??? Any help/info APPRECIATED.
Will this work on my 1993 Kswapped eg civic, I recently fitted a 2005 rsx type s transmission (NSN4) Iam running a Heltech Elite 1000, seen in the comments another guy needed to fit washers? Iam hoping mine is the same as yours lol
I have a 1989 K24 CRX with a 2006 SI transmission. I installed a Rywire harness. Hondata installed on a 2004 ECM. Hondata is not reading speed. I have 12v, though, going to the CSS..?
What happens if someone does not know to do this? What will happen if this is not done and under what driving conditions would trigger or cause what type of error or failure? Very important question on my end 🙏?
VSS operates on 12v while CSS on 5 Volts. Also give you expert advice on which washer to use under that 10mm bolts holding the CSS. I fired one ECU and Hondata and 4 CSS sensors figuring out which size washer to put. Honda originally do not put any washer there but some time putting sensor back, if we slightly over tighen it, the CSS touches the 3rd gear teeth and ECU will get burnt. Leannt after wasting near 1000$. 150$ ECU,700$ Flashpro, 4 CSS sensors fried. I have looked into Honda manual and there is no wahser there originally. very bad doing from Honda. Edited 2023: i found the solution of correct waser size after so much trouble and made a full video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iaalTNT3pao.html
@@vt6469 thanks for ansswer but there is none in some models. but i solved the dilema by finding the correct size. here i made a whole new video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iaalTNT3pao.html
I have mine hooked up using a d series sensor housing if you have cable driven trans speed sensor to your dash you can use a d series sensor but the plastic gear strips easily you can buy part #sbc1118 its some k series sensor and take the shaft out gear and shaft are solid metal exact same gear as k20z1 sensor but shaft and top are the same as the d series just put the shaft and gear from sbc1118 into d series sensor housing put on k20z1 may most likely will work with any k motor with a gear driven trans speed sensor on a post 91 honda this was a more simple solution that i accidentally stubled upon couldnt find any info on it in the forums anyone who sees tgis share the info
@@humbleperformance I have an rsx 02-04 tuck harness and 03-07 accord transmission with css. Going to run Kpro v4, can I just repin into a css plug in correct location? Or do I need to use a converter? Brian says Vss is 12v and css is 5v but k tuned says they’re both 5v, so I’m at a loss of what to do.
Kpro has option to convert high density signal from CSS to low density one which a VSS produces. you just need to check an option in it. which tranny are you using? Are you giving sensor 5 volts or 12v ?
@@BrianGillespie_brianathasport his only explanations are for css to Vss, never the opposite.. I need to know how to swap from 02-04 rsx harness to 03-07 accord css transmission.
Yes. Just cut that 12v wire and give it a 5 volts from some other sensor. i mostly do the newer k-swaps like Honda Fit, CRZ, Insight. If we use these older trannies in newer Hondas in which ECU is looking for CSS high frequency signal, , we have to give VSS seperate 12volts and just take the signal out of it which needs to go in Plug-A of ECU. But as signal is of low frequency from VSS we need a device like Dakota to splice in. i think i need to make a detailed video regarding this. a lot of people strugling with this issue
