Quick look at my homemade solar battery box where I combined two 20Ah Chins LifePo4 batteries in parallel. I also take you out and show you my HF antenna farm, 100 watt Goal Zero Boulder 100 panel and chickens, yes, chickens.

Nice little go box, been buying parts to set up a better system myself. Just got a 60 watt briefcase panel, and a charge controller for the LiFePo4 batteries, I use with the backpack portable radio. Was up on the top of Kenosha two days ago testing it out. Seems to work well, but is kind of big for backpacking. Have a system I use at the house with two big AGM batteries, have an Epic Powergate that switches from Solar, Power Supply and Batteries. Need some more panels for that setup. Just set up my G5RV again yesterday, between a couple trees, then found that my tuner is messed up.

Bummer to hear about your tuner and I hope it's nothing major. I love my g5rv - it has been a great antenna. Sounds like a good set-up at your house. I would like to get my shack rolling on solar with a permanent set-up one day.

@@JosephLittleK3ARK There are some nice Solar Panels, and some complete systems, for sale locally on marketplace. Having a hard time getting anyone to respond to my messages about these panels though. I currently only have two older 55 watt panels, that were given to me.
