She was not believable. We as females recognize attire and photographs. She was too well spoken on the questions she wished to answer to have so many lapses of memory about a high school friend. And clearly she knew whose house that was even if she had only been in a vehicle dropping off Caitlin......her testimony was direct evidence imo of the defense point of view.

Hanging out at a beach you’ve gone to multiple times with multiple different people over multiple years and not being able to pick out where you are by your bikini isn’t very weird at all. You were swimsuits multiple times over years. I have several pictures of myself with a group of four that I played in a golf tournament over several years. I really only knew one of the ppl in the pic. But there are at least 10 pics over years with me with two other people, but I know very little about the other two ppl. I don’t dislike them, I just don’t really know them.
I think the female FF would have been OK had she not initially answered "I went to high school with a girl by that name." It totally came off as her trying to distance herself from ANY type of relationship, acquaintance or otherwise. After the defense got a hold of her, she lost complete credibility.
True. The thing is there's been so much harassment of witnesses by Karen's online defenders that it could make even the most innocent bystander nervous and wanting to distance themselves, but I doubt the online harassment campaign will be allowed in.

That female fire fighter came off so disingenuous and shady. Her inability to answer a question with a yes or no and the paraing of every word makes her seem very unreliable.
I have talked to my husband about this case maybe two or three times and I explained to him that she was dating a cop or married to a cop because I really don't know their relationship and I told them about the paramedic the other day who couldn't remember if he had gotten back out of the ambulance he never notated anything in his report and it absolutely looks like they are trying to cover up something. And my husband never ever plays into any of that stuff if he thinks it looks like a cover up I think she has a pretty good chance of getting off a lot of people think that they're framing her and if we all think it I'm sure the jury thinks it

Im EMS if it happens you put it in your report. If you as a paramedic/firefighter or EMT and someone says they "hit him" you ask hit him with what. And if it turns out hit him with a car you put that down in your report. The fact NO firefighters or paramedics recorded her saying that in their reports tells me it DID NOT HAPPEN. If it didn't happen you don't include it. If you remember something you forgot to put it you amend your report. No amendments were made to the PCRs.

Or "hey officer she's saying she hit him" like dude is clearly not okay, a crime may have been committed and there is multiple police officers there but none of the fire/ems thought to say something to them immediately when they supposedly heard her saying she hit him. I had a cat that had stones block his urethra. His bladder backed up to the point where he became immobile. His brain was affected but my first thought was a brain injury. My thought was... did I sit on him? Did I step on him? Was it me? It was logical to me that it was something I did but was unaware of because I am large and active in the house. So I sympathize with someone asking "did I hit him?" Or even saying. "I hit him! 😮" Thinking was there any point that I could have been unaware?
Also there is a big difference between "I hit him!" and "I hit him?"... Exact same words. The witness yesterday repeated the words twice, but the second time she did it sounded like a question.
I agree. And as for Karen first asking repeatedly “is he dead?”, the fire rescue Lt testified that he did tell her that they had hope, wanted to give her hope, and he was not authorized to call a death. After that, I can sure understand her mind trying desperately to understand what happened.
It was actually good for defence that the pix didn't come in. They weren't that incriminating but the jury just knows there was a long discussion there are pix they don't get to see them. When they hear cover op and now there's pix that are mentioned they suspect something way more shady than the pix actually show. On my opinion anyways
I think she knows Caitlin Albert more than an acquaintance. And she kept answering if she knew the location of the photos, she always said, I don't know the location "exactly."
How strange that a person who has known a woman for over a decade, gone on many trips with her, but doesn't know who she is when asked about her..... totally not a cover up, and she just happens to give testimony which helps the Albert's get away with framing someone foe a murder the Albert's committed.
I absolutely think she knows way more than she gave in her testimony. She is 28 years old, she doesn’t remember hanging out with the people in the photos or where she was or where she went with these people. She has a picture with her arm around Albert with a beer in the girls hand, so unless they’re underaged, this was probably 7 or less years ago. She apparently has a bad memory for someone so young. She made her whole testimony awkward for herself and was very uncomfortable and just looked like she was lying or omitting the truth. Nobody responds, “I don’t know. I don’t remember. I don’t recall;” unless you do in fact, know, remember and recall and want to hide it. I’m sure she was coached to act and say that.
They may not be besties. Like sharing secrets. But come on!!!! You know her…. Admit it. I think if I was a juror she’s hiding something and it’s an important something. Or covering for someone.
That’s exactly what she said on the stand - yes, I know her but we are not friends. The lawyer wanted them to be friends because it is better for his client. We all went to school and hung out with people, that does not mean we are friends.
I don’t think the witness is telling the truth about her relationship with Kaitlyn Albert. She lost credibility for me as a potential juror. Telling the truth goes a long way for me, even if the truth isn’t in the best interest of a specific party.
By trying to distance herself from Caitlyn Albert, I think Katie brought even more attention to their relationship, be it a friendship or acquaintances or merely classmates. Imagine had she said, "yeah, we were friends in high school, but since graduation we don't hang out but I bump into her around town occasionally." Instead she said, "I knew a Caitlyn Albert in HS." They were in the same graduating class (of around 200 students); have been together in school since at least 8th grade, which means she's know her for at least 15 years since they graduated in 2014; they were on the same sports team in HS (cross country or track) for at least one year; they've been on multiple beach day trips together. Sounds like she's trying to hide something. And if so, why? If she didn't try to hide knowing her more than knowing the name Caitlyn Albert from in HS, would we (the RU-vid "jury") have been as suspicious? I mean it's a small town, she likely goes on calls on a weekly basis to help someone she knows in some capacity (family friend, friend of a friend, school mate, etc).

This witness sounded very evasive and sus....her demeanor completely changed from direct to cross, which in my opinion made her testimony even less believable.
I am 70 and can do the same. Also remember every bathing suit and I lived in them so there were many. She’s either drunk all the time or has severe memory problems.
I have one❣️ At 59, I choose wisely. With maturation and a lot of therapy I eliminated the unhealthy relationships that no longer served me. I believed I had more friends when I was younger but finally realized they weren’t true friends. My comment is probably irrelevant to the topic but nonetheless wanted to share. ♥️❤️♥️

If you’ve actually seen the layout of where his body was found in the yard and the way to road is with the curve in it litterally right where his body was. How narrow the road is. First they said she did a 3 point turn and hit him. Then switched it to the 62 feet at 24.2 mph or thereabouts. They say it was a blizzard and snowing. It’s literally almost IMPOSSIBLE to get to almost 25mph in REVERSE hit him throw him 12 ft into the yard with a curb there. I’m so glad the jury got to to actually see the house and road and yard. So they understand exactly how small it really is where they are saying she backed up and hit officer o keefe. With absolutely NO tire tracks in the yard none of the short. The laws of physics just make it impossible for a car to hit a 6’2 220-230lb man at 24ish mph and make him launch into the yard. Just don’t work like that in the world
Could he have stumbled there and collapsed? Then the snow covered his footprints? I still don’t think there was enough evidence to bring charges much less convict.

He was laying there like he would be laying in a casket from the testimony I heard of the way the medics said he was when they arrived. Also the foot print thing I don’t believe because there has been different testimony of how much snow was actually on him. One said he had just a dusting covering him. Another said he has a dusting just up to his stomach area and no snow the rest of the way up. Also. If you look at the picture of him where there said he was laying he was clearly laying on top of the snow. So there was absolutely no ground exposed. No blood in that snow of evidence of it pooling and Remeber and we will hear again he lost over half the amount of blood in his body. Where is it? And of it didn’t start snowing till after 10pm as testimony says he would of been on the ground almost with a body print around him with snow around the entirety of his body. Warm something up to 98 degrees and lay out in the snow and it will melt. His body would cool down but it would take a little bit for that to happen and the amount of snow we see on the cars in the videos that are in the driveway has no where close to 6 inches imo

Probably because they didn’t plan on saying Karen backed into him at first where trying to make it look accidental. So they left one shoe off. No one with half a brain and just a little common sense would ever get me to believe that multiple officers searching for anything of evidence would of missed absolutely everything including a size 12 shoe. A blind man with a stick could of walked around enough and found that. Not even ONE piece of red plastic was found but then 45 pieces of plastic all scattered.? Almost every female can look at a swimsuit and tell you where the picture was taken. You can get a general time frame, just by looking at your swimsuit, hairstyle etc. she totally looked very suspicious and dishonest by saying she did not remember anything about anything
Kaitlyn Albert is a great friend of hers. Defense has text messages. I believe they have had vaca trips with Kaitlyn and other Albert’s and Jen McCabe (She is sister of Mrs Albert) who was with Karen at the Albert’s house.
I noticed that as well. Subtle but very interesting how she answered almost everything as "I don't recall" or "I don't remember", but she knows for sure Kaitlyn hasn't been at her house but doesn't remember if she's been to hers?
One more observation, again as someone who is completely open minded on this case, why does it seem like the judge is arguing the case for the prosecution?? She intervenes with testimony, she jumps in with the breaks on before the commonwealth even raises an objection, she seems much more inclined to agree with prosecution objections, and her sighs and belittling remarks towards the defense, it's annoying at the very least! I've watched many US trials by now and never had that feeling before 🤷🏽♀️ if I were a juror I would be shocked by her behavior.. She's either bias or a very conceited. I have no problem with harsh judges, usually they seem more fair! But she just comes off as disrespectful and disingenuous and that gives me the ick!

There are girls I know from HS that I run into around town, we might be in some pictures together in the past, but that doesn't mean we're friends. An acquaintance is someone you know of but don't have a personal relationship with; a friend of a friend.
This witness tried way too hard to distance herself to the point where she did not appear credible. It's not believable that she would not remember something that happened 10 years ago. An outfit, a photo, a location...really? Not likely.
Katie and Caitlin ran track together at canton high school. They knew each other. They hung out together. Are they friends now I have no idea. Canton is your typical townie suburb.
I definitely do not remember all my outfits and people I went to school with. There will be pictures where I won't remember who they are and where exactly they were taken. Guessing some people socialise more than others.... If he pulled pics that aren't going all the way to high school, then he would have my attention.

Police are trying to make her look bad, imo. Imbalanced. It is clear FD did not think her behavior was anything but grieving and experiencing traumatic event. She still had blood on her mouth from cpr. Idk I wish she could have been handled compassionately.

The judge made a huge mistake not letting these pictures in. The jury deserves to know all the information when deciding if a woman should spend the rest of her life in prison.
I feel she drew sooooo much more attention to that relationship than if she would’ve just said ya we know Each other- another area potentially Jennifer McCabe is the puppeteer and wants to make sure their butts are covered. I look at photos from 20 years ago and usually remember where I was- at the least. I feel McGlaughlin was definitely coached by someone to say I don’t know.

Yea yea... Every witness is a liar, Karen Reed can do no wrong, chemtrails probably killed John O'Keefe, etc. This is exactly why I avoided coverage of this case before it went to trial. Most of you already have your minds made up, so just outright say that rather than calling every damn witness a lying succubus. If I was on the Jury, I would find the Defense's overly hostile cross-examination style as extremely off-putting.

It’s been stated that the specific beer bottle shown in one of the photos is from 2021 (stars & stripes can?) - IF that is in fact true, I suspect the defense to either bring that fact in through possibly a witness that took the photo, or whose Facebook the pic originated from, OR save that bombshell revelation for closing statements when it cannot be argued! (Obvi been trial watching with EDB! 😂💜 Ps- the photo with the beer bottle is the photo where they are skin to skin with their arms around one another- a much more intimate looking photo than one of someone with an “acquaintance”

Her story did change in a substantial way. Yesterday she said she didn’t report it bc a police officer was there and said he’d “get Goode”. Now we learn her initial statement said she only said it to another civilian. Huge difference.
Especially since that officer that was standing there that said he'd get Goode has already testified and didn't say this. That's why she won't say who the cop is.
It changed a lot and she actually did as asked, did your story evolve? She answered, yes. Part of her story was that she didn’t report what Karen said or tell a cop because (as she actually said originally - Karen told the other woman there) I hit, I hit him, I hit him - that the cop was there and commented and heard it, but that was totally different than her original statement which never once mentioned a cop over hearing and going to talk to the Sargent right away. Little things ARE very important.
My dad was a process server/private investigator and we’re from a small town. He was always very upfront when taking jobs that all conflicts were laid out. Being called to investigate my mom’s business’s landlord’s fiancé, serve my ex’s mom with divorce papers… all had to be very transparent. Even when he served the roommate of a kid my brother was friends with he had to disclose! And you know when you show up, that’s who lives there.
Peter love the way you're analyzing the trials. After listening to some of this witnesses testimony I think she has locked in the words of what happened to help convict. Regardless of the real facts I wouldn't find her testimony credible, I would weigh other witnesses only, giving her testmony no weight in my decision in fact if I saw more of this from others I'd find not guilty

The female made herself seem like she can’t be honest not even under oath and that she is not credible because she wouldn’t just say yes I didn’t say it in the exact same words every time! She was not cooperative with defense either and wanted to push back even though she was wrong! This makes her feel deceitful and dishonest!

I'm actually shocked she was charged. There is absolutely no case here. If anything, they overcharged her. If, and I say if she may have accidentally hit him because of the alcohol. She will absolutely be cleared of this.

That’s why the story was changed from she accidentally backed up into him, making it impossible for the body to have gotten thrown so far, to she deliberately backed up for 60ft and hit him at 24mph. Yet there’s no tire tracks on the lawn. So the suggestion is the vehicle hit him and then immediately completely stopped moving. Momentum of the vehicle would have made that impossible. On top of that, there’s no damage to the tailgate of the vehicle. Then there’s the broken taillight… The taillight that was intact in security video from ~4:00am. She didn’t hit him.
Completely agree, LYK, I think this lady was prepped entirely wrong. It's simply not believable that she just "can't recall" a single moment she's photographed with the other woman - it's almost as if she barely knows this woman exists at all (and we know this isn't true). Really bad strategy from the Pros. who clearly prepped her. All this did was make her look very shady & like she's trying to hide something. If you were to pull any photo off my FB where I'm pictured with friends in the past 10 years, I'll remember exactly where we were and what we were doing. Anyone who answers with a "I don't recall ever doing that" instead of "No" is untrustworthy. They are leaving an out. Also her detailed memories changed when challenged with conflicting details. This is the prosecution's case in chief and I am at least 70% sure she is not guilty.
"I don't remember" leaves open the possibility that the thing happened, she just can't recall. "No" opens her up to being accused of lying if it turns out the thing did happen. If I weren't 100% sure and I were testifying I'd probably go with "I don't remember" as well.
@@platedlizardif she were not sure she could have said so. She could have said it was possible but she was not sure. That's how an honest person answers that question if they are unsure. He answers were clearly intended to distance herself without having to be truthful.
You sure skipped over some important and incriminating testimony, Peter. Like the revelation that an Albert brother, set up the meeting between Katie and Trooper Proctor on Jan 30th 😮. And the last EMT who took Karen to the Psych ward, who called her Snarky, because she was upset with the woman who tricked her into going back to the scene to be Section 12-ed!
I wish you had left in the last questions Jackson was able to ask the witness . He described the pictures she was in with Kaitlin. Including the fact that she was in a pic with her arms around her, holding a beer, in bathing suits. That was powerful. Most people wouldn’t be comfortable with being that close with a mere acquaintance.
How would the female firefighter know what to say on the scene? She said it to a cop while they were on the scene. So the daughter of the person in the house called her and said hey if you get this call say Karen said this? This makes zero sense. Like all these witnesses- it was all planned? The daughter knew she was working that night?
@@millied4089 what? No offense or snarky intent…. Do you really not believe that corruption exists? I have zero invested interest in this case (like thousand of others). She started out good and then all of the “I don’t know, I don’t remember, I may have” etc started to tarnish her testimony. IMO. Come on, she knew the home owners and their daughter. Prosecutor should have brought it out from the get go.
Alan Jackson is the X-factor in this trial. The L.A native his demeanor in the courtroom, and his thorough knowledge of this case that gives the confidence very intimidating responses from the witnesses and makes them look bad and unasure of their answers. This attorney wouldn't travel and across country for his health $ not a motive. He put away Phil spector and got Kevin Spacey off on sex charges. Much harder cases. You can clearly tell the judge and the commonwealth don't like him the outsider. She will walk NG. If you notice he only crosses the important witnesses that are lying.. idk, don't recall that's all they seem to say when he crosses. It all depends if this jury is corrupt seeing it's a small town. That murder happened in that house and are willing to go the stretch of a cover up of policeman which most people believe that they couldn't do such a thing. Pensions, jobs reputations are all on the line so it doesn't sound for fetched of a cover up. At worse a horrible accident. 2nd degree murder NO WAY that 12 reasonable people would convict. It's early though but deleted texts. Missing dog. Not investigating the house..Alot of questions that will have to be exposed. Still along ways to go. I feel for both families. No winners here. Fair trial is close to justice as we can get.
If it walks like a cover up, talks like a cover up and does google searches like a cover up….and answers questions on the stand like a cover up….its a cover up.
I wouldnt care except she sure didnt want us to know. But you skipped rightover the fact that the cop brother od the homeowner is the one who called her the next day to arrange the interview with Proctor.
Hi Peter & All 😊 I have a good friend who’s a fire chief here & it turns out there are some bad seeds .. one had been a firefighter and my friend said they were so happy to see him go!! He is now in the police department .. my friend believes for whatever reason he was beaten up and dumped.. he shared more but that’s the gist .. hopefully the bad guys will be exposed, but I don’t know 😢😢 🇺🇸♥️🕊💪🙏🏻🇺🇸
This is what I am wondering, and they perhaps took advantage of KR and her lapse in memory due to drinking and maybe put it in her ear that she could have possibly hit him. It wasn’t until later that she realized she was used or framed it appears to me what little had. Even presented. I’m only following what jury is following.
I am thinking your friend has good reasons for believing as he does about this case. Many in that town probably think there is truth in the story that was reported to the defense team just a day or so after KR was first arrested. The tipster gave too many details that turned out to be accurate for the story to be simply made up.

We need to remember Karen was in the car with these 2 ladies. The 1 named Jen is 1 that this witness is talking about, John is laying on That lady Jen’s sisters front lawn. She also was with John and Karen at bar together. They followed her to her sisters home. Maybe Jen in private asking Karen did you hit John. So Karen now 2nd guessing herself at scene.
Some sent Brandi Churchwell (13 Juror on RU-vid) a screen shot from a yearbook, where both these girls were on the same cross country track team in 2012. Teams know all on their teams. This isn't a huge school, about 200 per graduation class. Teens know who's parents are LEO in towns that size.
