The most frightening thing is, if Karen Read didn't have the resources, she'd b heading to prison IMO. This is a 7 figure defense and worth every dollar. I hope she gets every dime back when she sues them.

Sorry that I have to put it so bluntly, but as a physicist, I was appalled that this trooper devoid of sufficient physics or mathematics knowledge to even understand the basic laws of kinematics and dynamics can appear in court as an expert witness objectivity trying to convict the defendant. The frightening thing is that he has appeared in other cases masquerading as an expert in road accident reconstruction, and by inference kinematics and dynamics. The supreme irony in this case is that one of the world’s leading institutions in the discipline of physics and mathematics, replete with ACTUAL physicists is in just TWO MILES from downtown Boston, namely the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . WHY did they not organise an actual expert from this prestigious university? Could it be that the prosecution did NOT want a real expert on the stand.

I’ve read that Alan Jackson was a fighter jet mechanic in the Air Force. He has a BS degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering. After obtaining his engineering degree, he went to Pepperdine Law School in Malibu, CA. Jackson knows more about speed, acceleration, mass, force & momentum; compared to the accident reconstruction officer. It appears the guy has forgotten all of his physics definitions & equations to determine important information. When you calculate speed, acceleration, weight or mass, force, momentum, etc; you need information from the previous math equations. If you do not know the weight, acceleration, speed, force or acceleration; you will not be able to calculate momentum.

99% of the Prosecutions “experts” have all been State Troopers. That’s wild to me. Those texts were supposed to make Karen look bad… but,to me at least, I ended up empathizing w/ her, & it was John who came out looking bad.

How was this case even brought to trial? It's terrifying.

He sounded like he memorized a script and then had no idea what to say that he wasn't told. I don't think he reconstructed anything but a fantasy.

I can’t WAIT for the defense’s case. Expecting them to bury the CW case. This has been a circus. Surely the jury must see it.

The more I listen to this trial the more I believe Karen is innocent

I did not feel sorry for this Trooper Paul guy at all! Does he not realize how serious it is to try to put a person in prison for the rest of their life! What a joke. I feel sorry for all the people in Mass if this is the quality of experts the state relies on.

I thought the key cycle cross was huge. 24 mph in reverse is very fast. Proving that key cycle 01162 did not occur at 34 Fairview is important.

I know that Karen thought about taking a plea for 16 months, I think only a fool wouldn’t consider it when you’re facing years of incarceration. I do find myself wondering if they upped the charge to 2nd degree intentional murder to “punish” her for taking this trial. If I were on her team, I would request no lesser includeds. No manslaughter. All or nothing. There is ZERO percent chance she is convicted of 2nd degree.

Alan Jackson is amazing. Karen Reid sure has got herself quality lawyers. I could watch Jackson all day, i can't put my finger on what it is about him i like. He's very quick minded and witty ❤

They keep using the term "expert" so loosely in this trial. It would be laughable if a man didn't lose his life and another persons life is on the line.

Did anyone see Gordon Ramsey today? He was in a bike wreck this weekend. He lifted the left side of his shirt in a video to show his injury and the entire area was solid purple. He described it as the color of a purple potato. How does O’Keefe not have any upper body injuries remotely close to this if he was struck by a suv?

The fights seem like normal relationship issues to me. I used to be so worried my husband would leave me. He would say things that he knew would cause me to be insecure, then everything would be okay. We r now in our late 60’s, things just got better about 10 years ago. Insecurity can mess with things. Doesn’t make one of them toxic, and the other one “good”.

Imagine being put away for life because of testimony like this. It makes me think of all the people who have been incarcerated for life or had decades taken from them because of investigations like this.

Lally could show me a video of Karen Read committing the crime and at this point I would STILL vote not guilty. The whole prosecution case has been a cluster f**k and that’s putting it politely.

The key cycles was the most important part of the testimony. It proves that the car had been seized when those trigger events occurred. You should rewatch to catch the magnitude of that testimony. It shows Karen wasn’t in possession of the car at the time the key cycles allegedly coinciding with her hitting O’Keefe occurred.

This was brutal to watch. I don’t like seeing people being embarrassed, even when they are bringing it on themselves. This man should never have been in that position. This is not how we reach justice. The entire investigation was a complete debacle and the prosecution is following suit

He had me thinking this was believable UNTIL 1) the one that was inaccurate was the time stamp in the middle. 2) and bigger…It was not replicable. That is the whole point of science. It HAS to be replicated.

I've said this almost everyday after trial- IF Karen Read did this, the CW has obliterated any chance at his family getting justice and its heartbreaking. I've always thought she was not guilty but I'm pushed further and further from the CW everyday. 😢

I feel like everyone gives John O'Keefe credit (as they should) for adopting his niece & nephew. But Karen's contribution is totally glossed over. She was a second parent to those kids, and I don't hear her getting any credit for it. They are no relation to her, and she wasn't married into the family, yet she seems to have spent at least as much time with the children as he did. If I were raising a man's children, and he criticized my methods, my texts would be much more reactive than hers. I would feel that if he wants to control what's going on with the kids when he isn't there, he can hire a damn babysitter.

I’m married x7 years to a man with two children, I do not have bio kids. I hate to admit it but I have said some terrible things to my husband in text messages in a fight. I know his kids absolutely must come first but sometimes I need to feel like number one and sometimes say things hoping for a certain reaction from him. Not a proud moment but I think it is normal human behavior. I do not think these texts mean motive for murder. Again I love my husband more than anything in this world. I’d never think of hurting him in any way except with my words.

His whole little map was based on where the body landed and it's orientation but he NEVER saw the body or even a picture of it!! TP: There is no evidence he flew in the air AJ: EXACTLY...EXACTLY... This guy recreated his own crash and burn.

I feel horrible that this poor Witness allowed himself to be used as an expert. He looks like he's about to cry and has no confidence

“Blowing up his phone” is less than two texts an hour when you’re wanting to work through a relationship issue? Anxious-attachment & Avoidant-attachment is addictive but toxic - and it takes time to recognise it’s not going to change & leave. The fact she wouldn’t have left a teenage girl alone shows she still cared. I’m presuming one of the other “guests” was meant to drive him home. They decided to up the charges to encourage her to plead guilty. They didn’t know anything about her but her medical issues and stuff Jen had told them & didn’t realise she could afford a quality legal team. I’m really looking forward to the defense experts. I would have thought each State DA’s office would hire a graphic designer / coder to do graphic illustrations for cases. That would be worth the money and would be fairly easy to do.

The texts between Karen Reed and John O'Keefe read as a woman trying to pin him down. She seems to be trying to get him to break up with her or prove his commitment and profess his love. He seems like he has no plans and is just seeing how things turn out. Or he wants to break up with her, but it isn't because he needs her to help him with the kids. It's hard to tell with him. Doesn't seem like a motive to kill him.

As a former Massachusetts police officer, I can tell you that 10 years ago at least when I was in….. accident reconstruction was VERY few and far between officers. Few knew any math, lots of nepotism, and nearly impossible to get one when you needed one so few even bothered trying.

The fact that this “expert” not only needed to see his report every time he was asked a question, but also used the following language “I’m trying to make sure it all fits” and “I’m making sure I have my checks and balances” shows that he did come come up with his own conclusions.

Whatever classes he may have taken, there was almost ZERO *application* of those lessons. 😔 He did little more than what any of US could do. 😠 Little to no science, and then basically defaulting to "well, this is what I think, but I’m an expert because I took CLASSES, guys." 😒🤦🏻‍♂️ Yet he *literally* thinks that it CANNOT be figured out if the two objects colliding are not in an absolutely straight line, and if they both aren’t vehicles. I saw a super cool video that had a dog training expert on it! He has silicone arms they use to teach dogs tonite flesh more appropriately. Bit and hold is hard to teach. So you could see all the LACERATIONS! Then he shared a video and pic of a delivery driver that was attached and bitten by a German shepherd! Omg! It looked exactly like O’Keef’s arm!!!!! I never thought his arm looked like what I thought dog bites would look like but it actually does! I really really hope they bring an actual dog person on there. I’ve always been a die hard support the police person. Never questioned it until this case. Now I’m even convinced it’s a cover up and I have NEVER believed in conspiracies!!!! FYI you are AMAZING! Idk to me those text messages between Karen and John sounded like the kind of fights you have at the end of a relationship. Karen didn't sound crazy jealous to me, it seemed like she wanted him to tell her he was interested in someone else or that he was done so they could just move on. If he was interested in someone else she wouldn't have to feel guilty about leaving the kids. These texts combined with the texts with Brian Higgins really don't show any motive to me. I also keep going back to the fact that she told the paramedics that they had fought the night before. If this were an act of jealousy or anger why would you volunteer that information at the crime scene? It also is super annoying to get like real, important evidence this late in the game! I don't understand why they called a thousand meaningless witnesses before bringing in these text messages.

Think about if Karen didnt have the $$$ for her phenomenal representation!?! She would be done for!!!

As a former juror on an attempted murder case, education is not as high up as credibility. Unfortunately, these guys had neither. One was an infomercial, and the other one was just plain not intelligent

Seems everyone is forgetting that she wasn't comfortable with the invite - John was to go in and see if she was welcome and waited in the car, he didn't respond so she sent the text "I'm going home" and left.

Several dog trainers have stated that those marks on John's arm is definitely from dog bites. They gave examples. They need dog trainer experts on this trial.

I wish I caught this live. The key cycles are important because the 24 mph in reverse was when the tow truck driver was backing out of her parents driveway. If there is a lot of snow then the tow truck driver would have had to floor it to get it out of the driveway. They just proved with Paul that she wasn't driving the car when they claimed it was in reverse and that there is no way to recreate the accident

Lally should have known this guy was not qualified for such a complicated trial and yet he presented him as an expert. Maybe that says a lot about Lally's qualifications.

I can't get over how the one place this man is hit by a taillight is his arm. How do they have him positioned for the arm to be at the same height as the taillight?

About KR texts to John: Those texts after 12:45am to John are totally in her character from what we have seen from their relationship so far. It would be more strange if she had gone silent afterwards or if her tone would have softened towards him.

Peter, You missed the importance of the key cycle. This guy was saying, 2 key cycles before he got the car - that is when the events occurred driving backwards at 24 mph. Jackson was making the point that when the car was at Fairview rd, that was 4 key cycles before he got the car. he did not count the 2 key cycles of the car being turned off and on 2 times to get car off and on flatbed. so the car was at the cop shop when that event happened (driving backwards at 24 mph,

I’m not sure how you aren’t convinced by the key cycle argument or why you think it was her who sped backwards. It’s just a record of the car being turned on, and the car was demonstrably turned on and off multiple times after it was confiscated. So if the state is right that it happened on cycle 1162, it couldn’t possibly be i her driving in reverse at that speed. Unless the car’s data is completely unreliable, but if that’s the case there’s no reason to believe she drove backwards at a high rate of speed.

Man Jackson was amazing. The part about the pirouette had me dying. I don't know how Jackson held a straight face. Trooper Paul is a proud to C student. In all honesty though, I actually felt really badly for him. He was so incredibly nervous, stuttering, shaky, grabbing his throat, drinking water, blinking rapidly that you can tell he is not a bad person and he was forced to do this by the higher-ups. Trooper Paul should really get the heck away from the corrupt Canton PD because he does not belong there.

These prosecutors and this case has really made me lose faith in our justice system. It’s so scary to see play out. If this was my son’s investigation & trial & experts, I’d be furious. If I was Karen Read/Defendant, I’d be furious as I fought for my freedom. Who wins here.

He 100% says "kill me". The sigh substantiates it IMO.

The big issues w this case is that his injuries DO NOT match being hit by a 7,00O pound car. He had NO bruising, NO broken bones, NO injuries below the neck. He had two black eyes, blunt force trauma to the BACK of the head and no blood found on any curb showing that he hit his head. He had lacerations to his face and PUNCTURE wounds to the arm and yet NOTHING was on the SUV, no DNA, NO SKIN, NO BLOOD. I believe the information the informant brought forward and it matches their behavior almost identical. He was beaten up by Colin who had swollen knuckles, by Brian Albert who didn’t show his face after he was found, he threw up and convulsed on the basement floor…basement floor was ripped up. Etc etc etc etc…..I can go on and on but there is more suspicious activity showing they did this than Karen. Oh and let’s not forget the two unknown DNA profiles found in the blood ON HIS PANTS that was never tested against Colin or Brian. John didn’t bleed out 3 different profiles 😮‍💨

Joe Paul must have had no idea that prior to being a Lawyer, Alan Jackson was a trained jet engine engineer with the US Air Force and holds dozens of certificates in jet propulsion.... aka more of an expert in physics than he is.

Why is no one talking about Matt McCabe being an IT guy? He could have easily got rid of the search and/or edited the info. Also, this is not a trial for Jen McCabe..

It’s horrifying to think what would happen to a defendant who was stuck with a low level defense attorney or public defender. Thank god she and her family have the resources to defend herself and expose the corruption.

I know the text messages and the voice messages are supposed to look bad for Karen, but I see it like this. She sent a lot of that stuff after he was killed. It wouldn’t make any sense for her to have that much anger and be so upset if she knew he died if anything, she would take any sort of suspicion off her and try to not contact him at all. That only shows that she was upset with him never would she or anybody in their right mind or even wrong mind send all that stuff after they supposedly killed their partner. It makes absolutely no sense and, I remember being in a relationship where I have said the ugliest things out of anger to someone I loved very much because I was so upset and I can only see that as being in love with someone and never would I want to hurt them. it’s just your anger and being upset because it’s not working the way you want it tobecause you do want it to work

That was the most painful “specialist”. The nurse charting equivalent? I went into a room gave the patient some medicine stuff. the patients room told me the vitals were okish. Did some stuff to the wound on one of the extremities, will follow up likely, Will continue to monitor patient probably.

Lally literally lied so many times to defense and the judge before the federal grand jury minutes were released. I think this is why AJ is angry. He was accused of terrible things by Lally prior to the grand jury. I watched some of the pre-trial hearings and I was shocked.

Please tell me the defence has hired a Physics Professor from MIT as one of their expert witnesses! Seems like a no brainer. And does everyone reverse doing 24mph???? That is unheard of! I cannot imagine going that fast in reverse unless I were a stunt driver. I would also focus on disproving that if I were the defence. I do not see how it is possible to reach that speed in such a short distance and not lose control of the vehicle. Is it possible the wheels spun on snow or ice showing 24mph?

The point of the "keycycle stuff" is that the "expert" has no idea when the data he used was logged. He found some data, assumed it was from the time in question, then did the reconstruction based on his own unjustified assumption. The worst part was when he admitted he had no idea how keycycle/ignition cycle works.

During Tpr Paul's testimony John O'Keefes brother looked broken. I think it's starting to dawn on him Karen didn't hurt John. All the rage n anger is going to be directed somewhere else and that realization is sickening. It's at the same ppl who showed up at his parents home, told them to send the niece to Canton high over the private school John was so proud of, same ppl that helped the MST "solve" the case, and interjected themselves into his families lives. That is depraved and disturbing.

The only way that I could see Karen being found guilty, would be if there is Jury tampering.

Those are dog maul lacerations on his arm. While Brian and Colin Albert attacked him in the basement they punched him so hard causing the two black eyes, the cut on his nose (and John had bruised knuckles from fighting back), that he fell back and hit his head causing the blunt force injury on the basement floor. He lost 3 LITERS of blood and it was not found in the snow or the lawn. Head injuries bleed a Lot and I mean a lot. They did NOT find all that blood in the snow or lawn or street and that's because it was in the basement and the LE Never searched that home. It was in that basement and that's why they ripped up the flooring before they sold the home. Also, I am extremely familiar with dog bites and the mechanics of dog bites. I've been attacked I've done protection dog training and I've rescued German shepherds and bred them for 20 years. Those are 100% dog attack lacerations from the maxill part of the dog's mouth connecting and tearing out his flesh. John's long shirt provided enough resistance that Chloe's bite kept slipping and so she would regripped over and over. Trained police or bite dog she would have never let go but because she was untrained that's why she kept regripping. If you want confirmation watch Melanie Little attorney with American Standard K-9 of former police dog trainer and he will show you visuals of near identical dog attack lacerations. There are many dog mauling survivors that have scars that you would never think are from a dog. Even just the top of their mouth connecting can cut your skin like a knife. People have a lot of misconceptions that dogs only leave symmetrical punctures. That is actually rare. I forgot to add, then they moved the Ford Edge to block the path while they dragged out his body instead of calling 911 because he had a seizure and vomited after the blunt force trauma when he fell and hit his head in the basement to plant him on the lawn and frame the snow plow driver. Unfortunately Karen found him first. Two important things. Jen McCabe did make that search at 2:27 a.m. anyone that does code will tell you that Apple iPhones time stamp the time you close the browser which means that search was made at or slightly before 2:27 a.m. but never could have occurred hours later. The true cellebrite expert from the FBI will clear this up for you. Ask anyone that does code and they will confirm the same. Secondly, lucky the snow plow driver around 2:00 a.m. drove by and saw NO body. Then about an hour later around 3:00 something he drove by again and he saw a Ford Edge parked exactly where the body was. They moved the Ford Edge that the Albert's owned so that they could have cover while they dragged his body out.

A 2023 Lexus RX350 will go 0-60 in about 7.3 seconds so how could it possibly get to 24 mph in 52 feet? IMPOSSIBLE

If O'Keefe managed to hold on to the glass after being stuck by a 7klb SUV, that's some The Dude level of beverage protection. "hey, man, there's a beverage here!"

This is actually very scary. These troopers are giving evidence in other trials to convict people based on what?? Nothing as they have no knowledge!!! I mean I am just…… 😮. Wow!

It's scary how much cell phones can be used against people and every word turn into something monstrous. If you took the daily ramblings people said out loud I am sure you could make the same argument. Not to mention talk about timing of text, when you signed on or off. What a nightmare when you think about it. A garbage but semi plausible case could be made against anyone this way with only the tiniest shred of real evidence or motive. And this one does seem obviously ridiculous.
