Nate Eaton interviewed that younger juror on the end by himself first, then later in the day that juror helped him with the other five. Today he interviewed another juror. When you see two grown men so emotional, Eaton included, it says a lot about this case. These jurors were great. I so thank them for their service.

The thing that most struck me was Prior's insistence that Alex could have buried the bodies without Chad's knowledge. I don't care how big your backyard is, if someone buries *anything* in it, you're going to notice that the soil has been disturbed. That was most damning for me. If Chad hadn't been involved, he'd have noticed the graves and investigated. Period.
@greeneyedsoutherngirl6468
@greeneyedsoutherngirl6468 3 месяца назад
I saw another juror interview on another channel-and she was perceptive! She said “Alex wasn’t at the location long; Chad had that grave ready to go”! I was blown away! How true! I wish the prosecution would have brought that out in their argument! I mean, Chad was a gravedigger! He would have had that ready quickly!

If Chad was really unaware of the burials in his back yard, surely he would have been extremely shocked. Not being calm and be saying 'I'm not coming back'. What is strange to me is the fact that his daughter was also not surprised when he said that. What a strange thing to say when you are innocent.

@@denisepeel7018And Emma and her husband were mad that the cops were there? I mean, kids were missing. Why would you be so mad at the cops for that when kids were missing? If it turned out that two dead kids were buried in my yard, I would be freaking out
@Julia-uh4li
@Julia-uh4li 3 месяца назад
@@rosesweetcharlotte I think Emma knew full well what was over in her dad's back yard. After all, he'd been allowed by the sheriffs to go over to her house as they began investigating. Ya know, a good while before he got into his car and "raced off" up the road, only to be pulled over by those same sherrifs and brought straight back. That's why he was then placed into the back of one of their cars to then be filmed talking to Emma, thankfully! It would not surprise me if I ever learned in the future that Emma or her husband ended up continuing Chad's cult of The Children Of The First Born cult. Okay, I know that may be a wild speculation on my part, but at this point 🤷‍♀️

8:58 On Aug. 10, 2019, Lori Vallow Daybell texted the man she would later marry. “Do you think there is a perfectly orchestrated plan to take the children? And we just have to wait for it to be carried out?” she asked Chad Daybell. “I feel lost. Like I should be doing something to help.” “There is a plan being orchestrated for the children,” Daybell responded. Just weeks after the texts, prosecutors say Vallow Daybell’s two kids -- 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow -- were killed and buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of Daybell’s Rexburg home. 10:04 “A little over 24 hours from reporting his wife’s death,” Blake said in her closing argument, “Chad messages Lori: ‘I know exactly how you feel. I’m feeling sad, but it isn’t for the reason everyone thinks!’” At the time, Vallow was on a trip to Hawaii. Blake said Vallow had grown frustrated with Daybell, sending him a text saying they couldn’t be together until things changed. “What needs to change?” the prosecutor asked the jurors. “Tammy’s in the way.” [Both sentences Blake's.] Daybell responded to Vallow’s message, Blake added, by saying that being with Vallow was the only thing that mattered to him.

I waited until he was done and introduced myself and thanked him for all his amazing work on this case (which neither Lori’s or Chad’s had gone to trial yet obviously) and the DeOrr Kunz Jr case. He was so nice and genuine-we talked for about 10 mins-he asked me what I thought about each which proved to me he is an amazing journalist-he is genuinely interested in listening to people-that’s part of what makes him so great! I’m local and was able to attend most of the trial days in person. In the day that Chad’s Forensic Anthropologist came and testified, everyone in the gallery felt the same way the jury says they did. My friend and I had a notebook we would pass back and forth between us during trial because you weren’t allowed to even whisper in there. I remember as the Anthropologist talked about Tylee’s jaw being fractured, my friend wrote down to me, “this is heartbreaking!” After trial went into recess, we would always just go sit in the hallway til they let us back in. That day is was extra somber for the group of us sitting around against the hallway walls in the queue. @@rosesweetcharlotteI may be wrong but after Chad said nothing on his own behalf I thought “wait a minute is he trying to make sure he gets the DP…cause it looks like it”. If I’m right his mindset might have been “if I get the DP they will keep me in solitary confinement and I can handle that whereas I don’t want to have to deal with maniacs in gen pop - they could make my life miserable so I’ll take solitary”. If that’s what his plan was I think he’s going to (and pretty darn quick) realize just what a mistake that was - cause DP inmates in solitary do not get any fringe benefits that gen pop inmates get. I learned this by watching a video by a former inmate that turned his life around after he was released from prison. He said DP inmates spend 23 hrs a day in a 12 x 7 room without anything to occupy their time but stare at the walls. He said DP inmates never have any type of communication with any other people…that their life is completely and totally SOLITARY.

I find it so bizarre Emma moved her family into Chad's house where two children were buried in the backyard and where her mother was killed. I mean what is she going to tell her children when her kids say to her one day, "Hey Mom. Can we go play in the backyard?"

I have heard people say that the Elena story and all the goddess stuff showed that he was just being manipulated by lorie, but id like to point out that all of that is seduction hypnosis stuff that is talked about in certain parts of the manosphere. Lorie may have been a manipulator, but she also desperately wanted to be special. Chad recognised that and im pretty sure he'd have been exposed to the seduction technique stuff, as well as techniques of persuasion. Its not like he had charisma on his side ...

It was a great interview! Nate interviewed the young juror first, and that was great-especially because he was one of the youngest. In that interview, he said he was raised LDS and he really talked about how far off Chads teachings were. It was fascinating. Nate also interviewed ANOTHER juror last night who was AMAZING. That interview one on one, and he really talked about the testimony and its impacts. He’s also talked about Prior and his presentation and what the jury thought about it. I would love to hear your thoughts on both of these!

Chad was given the option to get a different lawyer and was asked if he wanted to keep prior and he said he wanted Prior. They would have appointed him a death penalty attorney. I was surprised he didn’t accept that. That oddball lawyer Ratliff, that tried to delay the trial was a Dp qualified attorney but Chad couldn’t scrape up the money to add him.

Awesome Peter! You’re still loving and learning from this process. I’m 66 and was on jury duty once. And halfway through the trial the guy took a plea and I really felt robbed of the opportunity to talk to my fellow jurors. But I did find it very cool that both sides spoke to us after to ask what our opinions were because they said it would help them learn from us what they could’ve done better/differnt.

I like what you said about, once you loose credibility to the jury, it's an uphill battle. Prior was arrogant, condescending, belittling, and disrespectful to the witnesses, to the judge and court. The jurors pointed out Prior starred at the jury, especially certain members; and, it felt he was trying to intimidate them. Plus, Prior seemed unable to read the emotional temperature of the room, adding insult to injury with his witnesses, almost unaware that often his line of questioning with witnesses, and the witness itself hurt his own case. I mean did he really think after we found out Tylee had her jaw broken 6 times, and her ribs were broken, that him asking the witness if she could have been killed elsewhere would make any difference. I think allowing jurors taking notes is important, why, cause if they wrote it down wrong, their memory would be wrong too. In this case it appears all the notes agreed.

Regarding: Should the jury be able to take their personal notes with them when they're deliberating or could they get their conclusion wrong from their notes? ... All 12 or 18 jurors are not all going to have the same wrong notes. Maybe one or two jurors will have something off or different from the consensus. But all 12 of them won't have the same wrong detail. You'll have at least three or four jurors that'll have taken a note about that specific item and have the same thought. Then if you have a juror with a completely different thought ( this is the juror that got it wrong) what they wrote down. But all 12 or 18 are not all going to get the same detail wrong. So I think jurors should be able to use their notes in deliberation.

11:10: this jury is great…BUT…I don’t believe that Chad was solely the mastermind. This evil already existed within Lori and Alex long before meeting Chad. Alex attacking Tylee’s father…and trying to find someone to finish the job, while he was incarcerated for that attack…? Alex had the heart and spirit of a serial killer.
