You know those of us that keep hamsters and have been keeping hamsters for a long time our special kind of people because we let ourselves love wholeheartedly for those short windows of time each time and then it hurts and takes however long until we are ready to have another hamster. Kashi is so cute! I can't believe she is already two years old! I have a cream colored female Syrian named BeeGee who looks so much like her. She just celebrated her first birthday, and she is still going very strong (still runs on her wheel several hours a night)! I agree with you, the time that we have with our hammies is very special, and we should cherish every moment of it. :)

I own a female Syrian hamster, who's 16 months. I'm bummed because the D.I.Y 1152 square inch cage I built her broke, so she's in a temporary 600 square inch cage. It kinda sucks but watching your videos brings me joy. Thank you Tori!

HIIIIIII! Ohhh I love it when they make it past 2. Zoey made it to 2 and a half years and really didn't show any signs of aging until the last week of her life. Henry's 2nd birthday is October 11, and mocha made it 8 months. You just never know. I like to cherish every day too. Ohh I soo wish I could build that cage. in 5-6 years I want to go on a mission and I wouldn't have a place to store it sadly. I will build it after. I just love your cage themes and can't wait till I have the money to build cages and get things for cage themes. I am slowly collecting over time. I am sorry you have to deal with your fatigue. I can't say that I understand 100 percent, but I hope you feel better. I do feel like it is VERY important to take care of yourself. Posting for everyone else even when you feel burned will burn you out more and I am glad you learned that. We don't want you to feel like you have to post for us to like you or make you feel extreme fatigue because we made you post to much. I love your videos, and pictures and posts regardless of how much you upload or how amazing your videos are. You are a loving, funny, kind person who isn't a boring adult and who sincerely cares for and wants the best for her hamster. that's why I watch you. The amazing video quality, editing, and photo quality are very very delicious sprinkles on a very good cupcake. I didn't know or care much for hamsters until I watched you. You made me want to do the best for them and love them as much as I can. You have saved 3 so far and tons more hamsters in the future from having a crappy life in my home. WHo know how many countless other subscribers hamsters you have saved. Thank you for the updates. Ohh one more thing, do you know of any free youtube editors that are good? Love this cutie! She's so lucky! Do you bake your playsand in the oven before use? I've heard you have to bake it before use and I'm planning to do that as playsand is 100% cheaper than chinchilla sand. I got 20kg bag for 4.59$ and I usually get chinchilla sand for 5.99$ 3kg. Hopefully my hamsters will enjoy extra sand. Do hamsters rather like huge but shallow space of sand or deep but not as large? And do you know what I could put the sand into that will fit natural theme? Thanks

Kashi the cutest hammy! I have a question. I have a syrian hamster who has been very traumatised with his last owners and is scared of humans badly. I've had him for a month but no progress in taming. Do you know how to help him? He hates my scent and he loves my other family members more than me even if I haven't done anything to him. Just giving treats (trying to tame him) food and water. Also no dislikes. Let's keep it that way

my mom got me a hamster and stuck her in this tiny 20 gallon TALL tank and i’m really upset because i want to get a bigger one come christmas time because it’s also near my birthday where i get moneyyy. but anyway, i asked her if i can buy her a 40 gallon or possibly a 55 gallon and she said no. her reason made no sense at all, saying “she’s perfectly fine in that cage.... she doesn’t need it bigger.” i just want the best life i can provide for my hamster because she’s also the first but my parents just refuse to get a bigger tank. i’m out of options, i don’t know what to do ugh.

If something happens to her and she sadly passed away I would like her to get cloned if possible But that's my request you may do as you please since Kashi is your hamster

**IMPORTANT PLEASE READ** Uhhh... right now I’m visiting my Uncle and Aunt in Montreal, Canada. And we went to adopt a parakeet because he needed to get another parakeet because he needed another male. So we went to the adoption thing, and got the parakeet. A couple hours later, we’re at a mall, and there is a pet store in it. So I went in thinking, “What’s the worst that can happen?” Oh. My. Goodness. The conditions in there were horrible. There were 2 dwarf hamsters in a tiny habitrail cage and they were living IN THEIR OWN FILTH. They didn’t have a wheel and they were both very obviously stressed. I was so taken aback. They had a Rabbit and a Guinea pig in the same cage, multiple rats in a glass aquarium, multiple Syrian hamsters just stacked up in the back, and it over all was just a very bad neglect situation. A lot of the hamsters looked sick, and they were all so tiny! They Syrians they were selling were the size of mice! It was honestly traumatizing. They had a lot of Parakeets in there also. They were also kept in really bad conditions. I was so shocked, I couldn’t comprehend anything for a half an hour. I was just in shock. Is there anything I can do? I understand that these are just temporary setups and that this is an independently owned pet shop, but that isn’t an excuse for these horrible conditions. I mean, the rats were living in a glass aquarium and the dwarf hamsters were living in their own filth. That is pure neglect. I want to help these animals, but I don’t know how. I’m only a sixth grader and my uncle keeps making excusing for this pet store. Can you please help me? :(

I find it sad that 2 is considered old for your hamsters. Out of the 9 I have had only 3 did not make it to 3, and one of the 3 only died because I had my dogs in the room while playing with the hamster soon after I got it and the dogs killed it. Out of the 6 that have lived over 3, 1 lived to 5 or 6 even with a big mass on him and he was inbreed.
