This is why casino should be outlawed that literally there’s a certain percentage the population they literally just can’t help themselves. They just gamble everything they get a paycheck they go cash it and just gamble it all I mean, I literally I literally have a relative that has caused their kids to be homeless and this is gone for decades it’s literally the same, dopamine response as like crack, cocaine, or met anyways gambling should be illegal, and if it is legal, there needs to be strict guidelines on a certain percentage of your income or wealth that you can gamble you know per month or per year and could easily be implemented easily be implemented no problem with today’s Car technologies and things like that
Your judgment is ridiculous. Of course, it's demonic, but demons only influence people to do wrong; they don't make the decisions for them. It's people's choice to love darkness more than light that reveals the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Demons counsel people to do wrong so they have grounds to avenge the wrong, so that everyone is rewarded according to their works. To me, it sounds like you're saying, "The demons did it, not the people," to explain away accountability for your own actions.
Oh here we go…they’re “addicted”. I’m so tired of hearing that word. “It’s not my fault, I have an addiction”. No, you’re just an adult child who makes bad choices because you’re stupid.
I just got my bathroom renovated & paid for the materials and labor AS the work was being done !! WHAT IDIOT pays for it upfront ?? LOL Serve them right !!
Construction scammers are truly terrible it puts such a bad name on small construction businesses that really fight tooth and nail for the best product that aligns with the vision in your mind when designing with quality material.
It’s really scary to know who to trust. We are not stupid, people, but got caught up in being scammed the Summer of 2023. Ended up costing us about. $13,000 give or take! Luckily it wasn’t the company - it was the guy!!! No need to go on!
Not in 90 percent of real scenarios. People roll up and go Protective Custody. What happens is the victim complains about being extorted and the person owed catches a charge. The victim moves to a new wing and feels empowered.
@@Han9emA11: Hey, I was just confirming your exalted grand pumpkin’s love of the poorly educated, lol. Anyway, I know this topic got you all triggered but I think we should stick to the conversation at hand which is about gambling addiction, not politics, right?
@@marieandrade7924you kind of can. They literally didn’t provide a service(casino). Pawn shops have to give back stolen property why not casinos? If we made the casinos liable for these things I would imagine people would be less likely to gamble with someone else’s money. Either by the casinos hand or the courts
I used to work for someone who had a gambling problem and he was by far one of the worst people I have ever met. Never hire, work for, or work with people who have gambling issues. They are the worst type of addicts to deal with and will eventually screw you out of money.
It's so bad here in my town that I am finishing up my renovations myself, saving a ton of money as well. I just hire out for the things I can't do, like electrical and plumbing. I have had to repair and redo so many of my contractor's mistakes. It's terrible, but I'm learning a lot. Going to have Lowe's do the kitchen cabinets I think. I had a local custom make some in one of the kitchens but they aren't worth the money.
@@ramiromoreno1386 Good point. I try to learn as much as possible and do it but some things like a/c coil replacement are too tough for me. But the other things you mention i can do.
Well the supplies that are brought on site for the job with receipts shown to the customer should be paid for, but never pay everything upfront til the work is complete with a written contract of expected progress and payment. Sorry for the ripped off folks and this “lovely” couple deserves jail!
Thats not how life works partner. Down payments are normal, or maybe you never bought a car or home? Contracts. Never paynthe FINAL payment until complete.
I would never fund a clients job or remodel.... if they cant pay a deposit, they wont pay later.... This story is about these two idiots, not the rest of honest companies trying to make a living.
Nice attempt at CONFLATION. Any country must deal with their own criminals but to import international criminals is insane and suicidal. There I fixed your illogic. You seem to be an Ivy League caliber intellect.
@@michael-lynnit means that if you can't even turn a Screwdriver, or Roll Paint, then you really aren't able to justifiably say anything about someone working in Construction and Remodeling.
@@user-xn7uu9jt9q You don't have to be part of the building trades to know a scam when you see it. I'm not a butcher either, but I know a good steak when I see it.
W H I T E... Someone in the comments will still type "illegal" cause this race never commits crimes unless it has to do with humans that aren't legal adults.
@@asmodeus1274 To me crime is crime, but if you think that it's a flex that this community enjoys being romantic with humans that aren't legal adults as an adult is better than other crimes, you should prolly speak to a therapist.
Well, she has a good, steady income, like most gov employees. I have sympathy for poor people who cannot find work, so they turn to crime. This is a case of pure greed! just disgusting
@@zoe6723 And none of what you posted addresses the medias need to add pointless info to the story. We haven't had true journalism in 50 years. I suppose they are trying to look like journalists?
People, wake up! Never give a contractor money for work that is not 100% complete. The contractor can put a lien on your house if you don't pay but if you pay up front, you have no power.
unless you are dealing with a major contractor like Home depot or something like that NEVER give these mom and pop contractors any downpayment for a job. Make a deal with them that spreads the payment over the entire job where you pay them daily as the job progresses. If they ask for downpayment to buy materials offer to buy the materials yourself and have them delivered to your house
Well, given what typically happens the couple will be put on house arrest for 12 months and do some hours of "community service" and/or ordered to pay restitution (which they will never do). But with $1.5 million gone, unless the scamming couple has this amount in assets (trucks, equipment, office building, other real estate) that could be sold those scammed will never see even 5% of what they lost. Lessons here include set up a strict payment schedule with contractors for payment milestones at project intervals (patio concrete poured, patio roof completed, etc.). Then adhere to that schedule. Nothing is perfect even with a payment schedule but better to lose $5K than $50K, etc.
My sentiments exactly! We just started online gambling here in North Carolina - the state who didn’t want casinos because of ??? And it’s really being pushes through local TV!
Don't people get references first before hiring a contractor? And maybe call the contractor board to see if they actually have a license + ask about complaints against them? Plus don't pay until after the work is done. Maybe 15% for materials - if they say no then don't use them.
Just wondering, why does every station need two newsreaders to do a 10 second lead-in to a story? Is it that difficult? Should there be two weather readers too?
First thing. Customer gets what they paid for. 2nd is pay employees. 3rd is electric or landlord, whoever is most mad. Small business: It's not for everybody.
Should be charged to the FULL extent of the law! No Mercy! When Trust is broken between a store and a customer that store should be shut down and all the “Top” people should be arrested and charged! No plea deals or “understandings”. Know who you are hiring!
Was picking a company to put a pool in when I saw the front runner company on the news with customers complaining about unfinished pools. Just dumb luck that dodged that bullet and I had no complaints about the company that ultimately did the pool.
