I ❤ that Sound! And KX Green Look I can Hardly wait til Sunday afternoon to ride my 1990 KX250 after watching the Summer Ride- Let The Good Times Roll!
The father of a good friend of mine also has a Kawasaki KX500 and let me drive a lap, but the thing goes like hell and I really had respect from the Kawasaki KX500 after driving so extreme when it comes into resonance range
Nice Bike. I've logged about 300 hours plus on the KX500. Always bought them new from the shop. '97 and my current '04. They get along Ok. Not sure how the earlier models like yours go with the smaller fork but it seems to handle pretty well. thanks for the post.
Nice video of a 'widowmaker'! I used to have two of them myself decades ago and before that a KX250. Maybe I'll buy another two-stroke monster, just for fun.
So much smoke from the exhaust. Your oil ratio is 32:1 right? Was the gas just sitting for a long time, or is there another reason it was smoking so much? I had an RM-250 for many years, and even a two-stroke shouldn't be smoking that much.
Try not using the clutch to change up gears it will cause heat friction and wear out your plates faster, mx gearboxes are designed this way so you also stay up in band.
@@DavidGogginsmoto well of corse you can slip the clutch but changing gear using the clutch everytime is what you do on a road bike, as I said the gearboxes are designed to not use a clutch as much thts why they are so easy to change into gear, go and try it on your yz and open it up instead of riding like it's your first time on the road 😂
@@DavidGogginsmoto exactly your still learning, I've been riding and also bike mechanic 33 yrs so I know my shit, with you still learning though is the best time to get used to the method I've mentioned.👍🏻
There geared so high there no good for trail riding. It just idles through the trails.then starts loadin up. You need a big open field to really try it out properly and really hear how it sounds
Very true ,it’s like each piston stroke = 5ft distance forward movement. Beautiful riding area ,I would go nuts without a pin it till ya pale area every so often. Team Green there’s something mesmerizing about riding a clean Quaker in slightly wet grassy area .
