Thanks. I would do it, but I don't trust my handiwork, and when I am free to observe the mechanic do it, I can trust his work. For example, if I wasn't allowed to oversee mechanic working on my bike, I would not go to that shop, ever. I'll pay while I still can afford the labor. Maybe on a bicycle I would do it on my own. LoL. :)
Great video! Two things: 1. Please use brake component cleaner, instead of using pressured air to blow off your brake dust! Modern brake pad materials are not supposed to contain asbestos anymore, but hey are still harmful. 2. I am not sure if it is a good idea to use garden hose to clean your chain. Use kerosene or the proper chain cleaner (degreaser) instead.
1. Not all shops that the brake cleaner, some resort to pressurized air, but yes it is harmful, do not breathe in the dust. 2. The solution he apply with the brush is kerosene or petrol before using the water hose to wash it off. Thanks for viewing!

Could you please tell me the reference of the wrench to remove the oil filter or the model? I have the same bike and I'm looking for a key so I can do the maintenance myself. Thank you!
I'll have to ask the mechanic next time, or you can opt for aftermarket filter like Maxima theirs has the bolt head on the end of the filter can use a normal wrench to install/remove it without special tool
hi bro..question forum the bmc air filter..do the bmc air filter make a diffrent in add some Power to your bike than the stock air filter? and how is the bmc filltering the dust ,sand and others over the stock air fillter? thanks bro
After market filters are considered performance filter because they increase the amount of air flow to the engine. Some say performance filter since allows more air, meaning the filtering is lesser than stock, I'm not sure about that. Also stock cannot be cleaned/serviced, unlike the after market ones. OEM and after market cost almost similar so going for after market is a better choice.
I don't trust myself enough to do the job, so I'd rather spend the money than save money but potentially screw up my bike because of my sub-standard work. :) But if you know what you're doing and doing it right for sure you can save lots.
bro one thing i would ask is if cleaning your air filter with pressure air would harm it doesnt the engine do the same by sucking the air at high pressure ????
Air induction passing through the filter element, and blasting pressurized air through a tiny nozzle onto a tiny surface of the filter is different, that's why you can damage the filter element if you shoot high pressure air through the nozzle placed closely on the filter surface, if you shoot from a further distance at lower pressure then it's still OK.
Ikutkan owner manual, setiap 24k km. Gantung pada owner nak ikut atau tidak. Saya buat pada 35-40k km macam tu. Sebaiknya ikut owner manual kalau tak pasti, kalau terjadi apa2 tanggung sendiri..
hi bro im thinking about getting the same bike as yours in the near future so i would like to ask question about the maintenance how much is it for the full service of the bike??
What do you mean by full service.. I usually just do the scheduled maintenance as required.. For just a regular oil and filter change is around MYR 300+, fork oil change is around MYR 400+, valve clearance is a few hundred but usually I do other things as well when VC so it could be close to MYR 1000+.. A set of tires are around MYR 1200+..
Saya pun tak pasti sangat, saya hanya boleh komen pasal ZX-6R sendiri saja.. So far tak ada problem selain magnet coil terbakar dua kali.. Mileage nak hampir 80k km.. Nanti buat major service + VC next round.. Cuba try join ZX-6R Malaysia FB group boleh dapat lebih info..
Till now I have not used any kind of fuel system cleaner, sorry. I usually fill with RON 97 fuel and never run it till the tank is totally empty. It hurts the fuel pump if you often run till the fuel is fully gone plus whatever debris in the bottom of the tank will most often get sucked in by the pump if the fuel levels are too low.
Ok i wanted cuz i have mine at a pawn shop that i saw online 09 zx6r with 7k miles on it ,have about 4,499.99 left to pay this bike is beautiful . and its sitting their.
I don't recommended to keep switching oil, if you are happy with what you are running with, just stick with it. I used to switch oils and my magnet coil burnt. I cannot be certain it was the frequent change of different oils but I have a feeling it might have contributed to it.
I am not to familiar with Kawasaki. Is there anywhere in this video that list the year / model of the bike there working on. I am pretty sure its a 636 but no sure what year. Sorry if I over looked the info.
Not sure about QT, but if you need a reference, always check your bike's user manual. I usually put in about roughly 3.25 ++ liters or if you look at the EO level glass, it's closer to the top mark. If not mistaken the user manual numbers will have the EO level in the mid point between both marks. The important thing is not to over-fill it past of the top mark or you might get EO splitting out the air intake or out the overflow hoses.
Kalau ambil jenis Supercorsa lagi mahal sikit..
Full synthetic oil is not that cheap and you need 3.x L of it, this one cost a bit more cause I did some extra cleaning for the air filter. Usually it would be 2xx-3xx.
That is down to the engineers that design and build the bike.. Their recommendations are what is on the user manual. I have not serviced my Ninja every 3 months since the pandemic and also lower usage, I just go with every 5k kms mark even if it's more than 3 months so far no trouble.
