The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is an incredible, legendary bike. In this review I will give an honest review of this sports bike after owning it for a few months. FREAKMOUNT Billet Magnetic Motorcycle Phone Mount a.co/d/7Mzc8vR
WOW! You get 5k miles out of a tire on a sport bike that’s amazing. I’ve had 28 bikes, 1 GSX1000R, 2 ZX10-R, and currently have a Hayabusa, along with 3 other bikes. I have never got more than 2500 miles out of a tire on a sport bike and even then the metal was showing. With the exception of the Hayabusa, which I got close to 4K miles. When I did track days I was lucky to get 2K miles out of a set of tires. I’m picking up the ZX6R in the morning. Be my 29th motorcycle. Did I mention I’m 3/4 of a century old.
7:44 is a fact. first 2 years riding i was on a cruiser and never really got a whole lot of compliments they were seldom , last month i bought my 23 zx6r krt and immediately started getting way more compliments. in just over a month I've been complimented more at stoplights than I did on a cruiser for 2 years.
Because cruisers are basic and bland. No hate, it's just the way it is. Their looks are more appealing. I have a 2021 and love it and never had issues and I have almost 13k on it. And I have a 2014 CBR1000RR SP and that thing is nuts too. Lol
may i know what your cruiser bike is?. well you wont get compliment riding single cylinder Race or street bike and many cruiser are low end tbh. although they are smart like continental gt650
For the rear I have a Michelin road 5(sport touring), and a Michelin power 5 in the font. I think this is the best setup for my 2020 636. The rear lasts twice as long as the front but the power 5 is really aggressive. With this setup you can go through 2 front tires for one rear tire. Saves some money and the road 5 in the rear has better wet weather performance vs a lot of the more agressive rear tires. The front is still super fickable because the front tire is more aggressive. I highly recommend this setup for anyone who commutes on their bike. I already have 17500 miles on my 2020.
Bro the tires don’t last because they are good and soft and sticky. Good tires last less long. What you think is a negative is actually a positive. If the tires were hard and lasted a long time they would have less grip.
Glad I'm not the only one that felt there was something not right about the rear tire! I have the exact same bike (2023 zx 6r krt) and from the get go - the rear tire didn't feel stable. I thought it had something to do w/ suspension (I still might have to get it adjusted) but now I have confirmation that it's the tire most likely.
Just a heads up the bridgestone s22 is an excellent street tire fir grip, but if you want tires that last longer and still have decent grip you should look into sport touring tires
Just start on an ex 500 under 5k rpm it’s a 250 over it’s one of the fastest older 500s out there perfect bike if you can’t afford the normal learning process of 2-4 bikes in a few seasons
Had the dunlops on my 2020 Z400 that came with it from the factory and can confirm 5,000 later and the back tire is bald, i wasnt really ever a fan of them to begin with when they were still new. Been looking at getting a set of pirelli diablo rosso's unless anyone else has some better suggestions
Hard launches or hard pulls chew up a back tire as much as burn outs. My tires lasted about 3000 miles on my Bandit 1200S because I couldn't stop 0 to 60 launchs, well under 3 seconds and I never smoked the tire.
Nothing beats the look of an Analog tachometer. That's part of why I bought the 636. I much prefer analog over these new TFTs. But if you're all about the newest and hottest thing or a real Techie kinda person I get it I guess.
The heavy compound tires that are the most high end like power fives from Michelin for example will only last you 5k miles, soft compound tires last around 3k, just so you know, that power of the 636 is tearing your rear up, how it is
Currently trying to figure out which 600 im about to get so im trolling yoytuve to get an idea of pros and cons of em all. In the first few minutes im thinking damn that looks like poinciana then you turned on koa and went to the 7eleven on marigold 😂
Hey! I’m your 200th like just FYI! Haha. I live in Utah and checking out the 2024 ZX-6R, have you ridden the Ninja 650? If so do you mind telling me your preference? I’m brand new into this and I’m having a hard time deciding, but I need to make a decision ASAP. Also, what are you recording with? I was looking into getting a helmet chin strap for my GoPro but I like how your camera moves around and I can hear your commentary perfectly. Thanks for this review! It makes my decision more difficult!
The 2024 I’ve just seen coming out finally got the digital display now man. It’s a shame it came out just after you got this one. But yeah watching this video cause I’m tryna get a 636 as soon as I can.
@@getemmikemoto yeah for sure the clock a minor thing but from how good I’m hearing this bike is, makes sense they finally gonna put one digital screen. I think it’s all 600s they never use to put the screens on. Me I got a kx450 so going with the the 636 one day even if it’s an old one because they can wheelie great too I heard. Happy and safe riding bro looking out for future vids on this bike.
Are you guys sure the tire isn't just wearing out because you're riding faster on the zx-6r than you did on the slower bikes? (I saw a video of a guy riding a 600cc against 1000cc bikes on the track and he said the 600cc tires last so much longer than a 1000cc since the slower the bike the less heat, the less wear)
@@amisfitpuivk it could be a factor but I’m guessing its not that serious. My stock tires are not worn out at all, I barely used them for a few hundred miles but I know for sure they didn’t feel as good as the Michelins.
Hey Mike, I’m considering getting a 2024 KRT Ninja 650…was the seat more comfortable than your new zx6r ? Is the 650 a bad decision versus the zx6r or is it still a good bike in your opinion?
I was afraid you were going to say that…I thought the 650 was going to be my dream bike, but after watching several videos of guys with a zx6r and hearing your personal opinion (after owning both) I’m going to follow your advice and turn my attention to the zx6r. Thanks for the heads up! And a big shout out from your new subscriber from Georgia!!!
How was the ownership of the 300 as a beginner? Was it frustratingly low power ? Did you have any trouble on the highway or passing cars on the highway?
Well my very first thing was a 150cc scooter. The 300 was definitely better. I immediately started doing group rides and everyone had 600 or leader bikes. It was time to swap that out asap.
To be honest, as a fellow ninja owner, had the 650 and the 1000.. most sport bikes dont get more than 5k on thr back tires ..that being said,, some are better than others
Rear tires on sportbikes don't usually last longer than 8K-10K miles max. If you ride hard, much less. If you get a high mileage tire, your traction and handling will suffer. Welcome to sportbikes.
You’re being very vague about the tires.. what do you mean by better? Becuase you mention them not lasting long but also mention wanting something with more grip… you can’t have both.
Want your tires to last don't get a sport bike their rubber is softer. My Concours 14 sport tourer is lucky to get 7500 miles on a set so 5000 on a true sportbike yep.
Talking about tires in a review is like talking Bout oil. Everyone is going to have their own opinions on what tire is better. Tires are maintenance leave the tires out of the review.
Dude is giving his opinion on the bike (which pretty much nails it as I got one 2 months ago), get your ZX and do a better review if you wanna throw shade.
@@JK-wz7uj I aint throwing shade, I know I sound like it, but I couldn't get past the first minute because he's not getting onto his opinion. I've been riding my ZX6R since 2021, thought I'd see other's opinion on it, but just don't have the patience to sit though nothing for the first part.
I betting the baffle is left in the exhaust. I love a ninja sound without the baffle 🤤zx6r's are my favourite sounding 600's ever 💚🫶 so ride me faster bikes
Bro the tires don’t last because they are good and soft and sticky. Good tires last less long. What you think is a negative is actually a positive. If the tires were hard and lasted a long time they would have less grip.
