I was that hard rock guy in the 70's and 80's who wanted to burn these disco people to the ground. Now in my 50's I'm digging the funky ass groove lol.
Same here. I was in on the disco backlash of the late 1970s, but I listened to my KC and the Sunshine Band 8 track quite often on the down low. Great music is great music.
Jamel, you actually made me forget about the world... and I was dancing and singing along and enjoying you sir, as well... When I was dancing back in the 70's, 80's and 90's KC and the Sunshine Band were one of my favorites to dance to. Always fun!! Diverse band, White, black and Latino. They were called the Sunshine Band because they are from Florida (the Sunshine State). the Whole band is still together and tour.

I’m 16 and I absolutely love this band, I even went to one of their concerts a few years back. I can’t tell you for sure but they seem as good as ever.

I saw this band about four years ago. I danced my butt off. My maiden name was Collins. My first name is Kathy. They used to call me KC and the sunshine band in high school. Because I was always happy and this band still makes me happy all these years later!!
On a trip to Nassau, I had on my KC chiefs cap. One of the locals in a tee shirt shop kept staring at my cap. When I checked out she said is the KC for KC & the sunshine band.😄😂
I saw a concert he did for cable back in the early 2000's. He did put on a little weight, but he was still boogying with the moves. And, he still sounded good too. It was a fun show.

Back in my days, this music brought everybody together. Black, white, brown, yellow or green. It did not matter!! We all got down together!! Lots of love back in the 70's!
Harry Casey( KC) was still performing & boogying ( a little slower but, so am I! Lol) at least 4 yrs ago at a Georgia coastal town festival. I didn't go but heard he could still kick it! I blame him for my knees today~ Well He & Sly & The WHOLE Family Stone! Lol!
In the early days of the band, they did a demo with George McCrae singing. A song called Rock Your Baby. The demo was so good they released it as a single under his name, might be worth checking out.
KC is alive and well and still performing, no joke! All those #1 hits were his creations. Funkiest White boy ever! I definitely needed your reaction videos to KC. You always make me smile!

KC is still alive and touring, he lives in Chapel Hill NC... And me too about the Keep it Coming "Up" instead of "keep it coming love." The Internet set me straight too.. When we used to go to parties back in the wonderful 70s always had the KC Band playing you could hear us singing 2 streets away And the boys in that brass section are fantastic
My sister and I always had fun at the lake with that one.....we'd sit the boom box on the dock and blast it, and then try to tip ourselves out of the innertube we were playing on...great memories man.
I'm 54 years old most people have a hobby or travel etc I've always chosen concerts 1st concert 11 yrs old Bee Gees first performance The Platters the list is endless saw KC and the sunshine band a few years back were amazing. I enjoy music from the 50s till today. Parents saw Elvis I learnt from the best! Love you and your channel.
I loved this song growing up. I used to hear it in my mom’s big ass station wagon with the “ playpen in the back”. The electric windows sooo big it would cut your arm off if you weren’t careful. Loved summer rides with that back window open. It was. As special time no one will ever live again. I’m just glad I got to experience it!!!!. Life is good
I wish i could move the way I did a few years ago .. But at almost 60 years young, I am not doing to bad .. Thank you Jamel this is what puts smiles on faces.. I am glad that the music has not been completely forgotten....

Wow! I remember hearing this song growing up in the 70's on my transistor radio. This group was one of my favorites back then. Thanks for playing this song and the memories. I turn up the volume on my tv, being ever so mindful of my neighbors, and sang and danced right along.

Yes K.C. is still around AND still performing. He does more than. 100 shows a year and performs on the disco cruise each year. Martha Washington, The Jacksons, The Commodores, Sister Sledge, Jody Watley also performed

I needed to smile today. When you did the close up like you were looking right into our eyes, like you truly cared about all your viewers you made me grin. I have fond memories of the KC Sunshine band.
I'm so glad I grew up in the early seventies. Going to dance clubs and concerts and American Bandstand. It's too bad people can't get along today kids today will just never understand people were just happy and loved the music
I got to see KC and the Sunshine Band around 2006. The show was called KC's Boogie Blast. He had several other Disco artists like Gloria Gainer singing their songs. The best thing was when I looked at the audience, there were all ages, kids to elderly, enjoying the music and dancing. This music is about feeling good and is timeless. That is why it is still used in movies today. Great video. Keep up the good work.
